    La justicia entre la ética y la política: Hume y Rorty

    One of the characteristics in the history of Philosophy is the relation it has established between Ethics and Politics. The subject of justice is indeed found at the centre of this relation. In this article we attempt to deal with this question from the approaches of two philosophers, Hume and Rorty. We take the similarities found in their two philosophies as our starting point, given that both develop a criticism of Metaphysics based on the universal and absolute foundations that it establishes. At the same time, we highlight the differences that Rorty sees in relation to Hume’s position. These differences lead us to draw different conclusions on the relation between Ethics and Politics.Una de las características de la historia de la filosofía es la relación que se ha establecido entre la ética y la política. El tema de la justicia se encuentra precisamente en el centro de esta relación. En este articulo pretendemos tratar esta cuestión a partir de los planteamientos de dos filósofos: Hume y Rorty. Nuestro punto de partida está en las similitudes que encontramos en sus filosofías, pues ambos desarrollan una crítica a la metafísica por los fundamentos universales y absolutos que establece. De todos modos también destacaremos las diferencias que Rorty ve con relación al planteamiento de Hume, y que nos conducirán a conclusiones diferentes para la relación entre la ética y la política

    Systematic Study of the Content of Phytochemicals in Fresh and Fresh-Cut Vegetables

    Vegetables and fruits have beneficial properties for human health, because of the presence of phytochemicals, but their concentration can fluctuate throughout the year. A systematic study of the phytochemical content in tomato, eggplant, carrot, broccoli and grape (fresh and fresh-cut) has been performed at different seasons, using liquid chromatography coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry. It was observed that phenolic acids (the predominant group in carrot, eggplant and tomato) were found at higher concentrations in fresh carrot than in fresh-cut carrot. However, in the case of eggplant, they were detected at a higher content in fresh-cut than in fresh samples. Regarding tomato, the differences in the content of phenolic acids between fresh and fresh-cut were lower than in other matrices, except in winter sampling, where this family was detected at the highest concentration in fresh tomato. In grape, the flavonols content (predominant group) was higher in fresh grape than in fresh-cut during all samplings. The content of glucosinolates was lower in fresh-cut broccoli than in fresh samples in winter and spring sampling, although this trend changes in summer and autumn. In summary, phytochemical concentration did show significant differences during one-year monitoring, and the families of phytochemicals presented different behaviors depending on the matrix studied

    O tema de estudo Formação dos Professores universitários pretende revisitar uma velha discussão, recolocando-a no contexto das políticas públicas atuais, orientadas pelo Plano Nacional de Educação para o decênio de 2014 a 2024. Trata-se do documento legal mais recente, que traça as diretrizes, metas e estratégias para a educação no Brasil. Tem por objetivo discutir sobre os aspectos favoráveis à profissionalização da docência universitária, como a formação inicial e continuada, o plano de carreira e as condições infraestruturais oferecidas pelas instituições. A pesquisa teórica e documental, situada numa abordagem qualitativa, constatou que ainda há um longo caminho a trilhar no campo da profissionalização da docência universitária. Observo também pequenos avanços sinalizados pela institucionalização nacional de acompanhamento pedagógico do professor universitário ingressante nesta profissão. Portanto, as condições favoráveis à profissão docente representam um conjunto articulado de proposições capazes de favorecer um desempenho profissional adequado ao processo histórico-social e cultural dos seres humanos.Palavras-chave: Formação.     Nivel de coordinación viso-manual con niños de la Institución Educativa Nº005- Uchiza; 2019

    El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como finalidad identificar el nivel de coordinación viso manual en niños de 4 años de la Institución educativa mencionada anteriormente. El tipo de investigación empleado es básico con diseño descriptivo simple y se trabajó con una población muestral de niños y niñas de 4 años edad. El instrumento empleado fue una ficha de observación la que nos permitió el recojo de información y para el procesamiento de información se empleó la estadística descriptiva: tablas de frecuencia absoluta y porcentual; cuyos resultados se procesaron mediante el paquete estadístico SPSS versión 22. Los resultados en lo que se refiere a la coordinación viso manual, un 50% de ellos se ubican en un nivel bajo, el 38.9% en medio y dos estudiantes que representa el 11.1% en el nivel alto.     Nitrate- and nitric oxide-induced plant growth in pea seedlings is linked to antioxidative metabolism and the ABA/GA balance

    This study looks at the effects of potassium nitrate (KNO3) and sodium nitroprusside (SNP), a nitric oxide (NO)-donor, on the development, antioxidant defences and on the abscisic acid (ABA) and gibberellin (GA) levels inpea seedlings. Results show that 10 mM KNO3and 50μM SNP stimulate seedling fresh weight (FW), althoughthis effect is not reverted by the action of 2-4-carboxyphenyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide(cPTIO), a NO-scavenger.The KNO3treatment increased peroxidase (POX) and ascorbate oxidase (AOX) activities. SNP, on the otherhand, reduced monodehydroascorbate reductase (MDHAR) activity and produced a significant increase in su-peroxide dismutase (SOD), POX and AOX activities. The“KNO3plus cPTIO”treatment increased ascorbateperoxidase (APX), MDHAR, glutathione reductase (GR) and SOD activities, but POX activity decreased in re-lation to the KNO3treatment. The“SNP plus cPTIO”treatment increased APX and MDHAR activities, whereas ahuge decrease in POX activity occurred. Both the KNO3and the SNP treatments increased reduced ascorbate(ASC) concentrations, which reached control values in the presence of cPTIO. All treatments increased thedehydroascorbate (DHA) level in pea seedlings, leading to a decrease in the redox state of ascorbate. In the“KNO3plus cPTIO”treatment, an increase in the redox state of ascorbate was observed. Glutathione contents,however, were higher in the presence of SNP than in the presence of KNO3. In addition, KNO3produced anaccumulation of oxidised glutathione (GSSG), especially in the presence of cPTIO, leading to a decrease in theredox state of glutathione. The effect of SNP on reduced glutathione (GSH) levels was reverted by cPTIO, sug-gesting that NO has a direct effect on GSH biosynthesis or turnover.Both the KNO3and SNP treatments produced an increase in GA4 and a decrease in ABA concentrations, andthis effect was reverted in the presence of the NO-scavenger. Globally, the results suggest a relationship betweenantioxidant metabolism and the ABA/GA balance during early seedling growth in pea. The results also suggest arole for KNO3and NO in the modulation of GA4 and ABA levels and antioxidant metabolism in pea seedlings.Furthermore, this effect correlated with an increase in the biomass of the pea seedlingsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersio

    The educative experience explained in this article stems from the application of the so-called "diagnostic evaluation" tests in Andalusian secondary schools during the 2006/07 academic year. Its aim is to facilitate a set of initiatives to improve our students' linguistic competence. This competence is considered a key element so as to achieve successful learning and subsequent personal development. The project has been accepted and implemented by the entire teaching staff since all of them are distinctly convinced that the improvement of such a competence does not exclusively depend on the Spanish Language and Literature Department. The project is consequently being developed in any subject or area of the secondary education curriculum without compromising the integrity of the academic content

The project is consequently being developed in any subject or area of the secondary education curriculum without compromising the integrity of the academic content.El eje vertebrador que cimenta la experiencia educativa que se presenta en estas páginas arranca de las  Pruebas de Evaluación de Diagnóstico llevadas a cabo en Andalucía por vez primera durante el curso escolar 2006/07. El objetivo esencial del mismo radica en ofrecer una serie de actuaciones encaminadas  a mejorar la competencia lingüística de nuestro alumnado, entendida como un elemento básico fundamental para la adquisición de nuevos aprendizajes y para su desarrollo personal.     ANXIETY AND HOSPITALIZATION IN ADOLESCENCE: RELATIONS TO ATTACHMENT STYLE AND PARENTAL SUPPORT

    This exploratory study examined attachment style and state/trait anxiety in adolescents - 30 recently hospitalized psychiatric patients, and 49 school controls. All were aged 13-18, with the majority (67%) female. The attachment style interview (ASI, Bifulco et al. 2002) was administered, together with the Recent Life Events questionnaire (Brugha & Cragg 1990) and the STAI anxiety questionnaire (Spielberger et al. 1983). Results showed the hospitalised group to have significantly more negative interactions with parents and poorer support than the comparison group. They had significantly more insecure attachment style (96% s 37%). Among the hospitalized adolescents, both the Anxious and the Avoidant attachment style group had higher anxiety scores on the STAI-trait scores than on the STAI-state scores assessed during the first days of hospitalisation. This suggests adolescents, even those with Avoidant attachment feel less anxious after admission. Implications for assessing attachment style in adolescent patients to aid with care planning is discussed
