Didatic appropriations of the Monteiro Lobato's literature in the sciences teaching of Taubaté/SP

Orientador: Mauricio CompianiDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Física Gleb WataghinResumo: Esta pesquisa possui como objetivo buscar apropriações didáticas da literatura de Monteiro Lobato no ensino de ciências do município de Taubaté, Estado de São Paulo, local de nascimento do escritor. A justificativa da busca se dá pelos trabalhos da área de ensino que se tem debruçado sobre as características científicas das obras lobatianas potencializadas pelo contexto taubateano de grande valorização à figura do escritor, ou seja, se há produções no ensino de ciências em pontos diversos do país em que figuram as histórias de Monteiro Lobato, por que não haveriam em seu município de origem, onde é tão aclamado? Para chegar a uma resposta, recorro ao uso de questionários para professores de escolas municipais de Taubaté, no intuito de mapear a inserção de Monteiro Lobato ao longo de suas vidas, em âmbito pessoal e escolar, seus posicionamentos sobre o uso pedagógico dos livros, seus lembranças da relação de Lobato com as ciências e possíveis atividades escolares que tenham produzido uma aproximação entre o escritor e as disciplinas da área. Os resultados revelam um grupo docente que tomou contato com a obra infantil de Monteiro Lobato na infância, dividindo-se entre leitura e programas de televisão, tendo ficado majoritariamente restrito a essa modalidade literária nos demais períodos da vida. Na escola, a atenção à Lobato se deu, quando existente, em aulas de Literatura/Língua Portuguesa e História. Consideram a obra do autor muito relevante para o trabalho escolar ao passo que identificaram maior facilidade no trato das disciplinas de humanidades do que das disciplinas de ciências por meio da literatura de Lobato. Em consonância, a maioria relatou não se lembrar de alguma relação entre o escritor e as ciências, embora haja respostas importantes nessa direção. Poucas foram as experiências escolares que se basearam no diálogo Lobato-ciências relatadas entre esse grupo de professores, mas o que foi apresentado difere das produções acadêmicas já divulgadas, inclusive pela existência de espaços particularmente favoráveis ao trabalho pedagógico com a literatura lobatiana no município, consistindo em uma real ampliação das possibilidades de inserção de relações Lobato-ciências. Enquanto aporte teórico está a Pedagogia do Lugar, entendida como uma metodologia pedagógica que valoriza aspectos do lugar da escola, como a cultura, ambiente, enfim, a realidade local, na concepção das atividades de ensino, garantindo sua devida contextualização. Assim, busca-se emergir do contexto taubateano a preocupação em inspirar apropriações pedagógicas da literatura de Monteiro Lobato, que guarda uma relação única com Taubaté, mas mostra-se importante nacionalmente, para fomentar o ensino de ciências no município, conforme tem ocorrido, ainda timidamente, em outros pontos do BrasilAbstract: This research aims to find didactic appropriations of Monteiro Lobato literature in sciences teaching in Taubaté, State of São Paulo, place of the writer¿s birth. The justification of the search is given by the works of the teaching area that has been focused on scientific characteristics of Lobatian works enhanced by the Taubatean context of great value to the writer figure, in other words, if there are productions in science teaching in different points of the country in which are the stories of Monteiro Lobato, why would not there be in his hometown, where he is so acclaimed? In order to arrive at an answer, I refer to the use of questionnaires for teachers of municipal schools in Taubaté, in order to map the insertion of Monteiro Lobato throughout their lives, in a personal and scholastic context, their positions on the pedagogical use of books, their memories of Lobato's relationship with the sciences and possible school activities that have produced an approximation between the writer and the disciplines of the area. The results reveal a teaching group that was in contact with the children's work of Monteiro Lobato during his childhood, being divided between books and television programs, being mainly restricted to this literary modality in the other periods of the life. At school, the attention to Lobato was given, when it exists, in classes of Literature / Portuguese Language and History. They consider the work of the author very relevant for school work, while they have identified greater ease in dealing with humanities disciplines than in science disciplines through Lobato literature. Accordingly, most reported not remembering any relationship between the writer and the sciences, although there are important answers in that direction. There were few school experiences that were based on the Lobato-sciences dialogue reported among this group of teachers, but what was presented differs from the academic productions already divulged, including the existence of spaces particularly favorable to the pedagogical work with the Lobatian literature in the municipality, consisting of in a real amplification of the possibilities of insertion of relations Lobato-sciences. As a theoretical contribution is the Pedagogy of the Place, understood as a pedagogical methodology that values aspects of the place of the school, such as culture, environment, in short, the local reality, in the conception of teaching activities, guaranteeing their due contextualization. Fatal pancreatic pseudocyst co-infected by Raoultella planticola: an emerging pathogen

Raoultella planticola is an aerobic Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. Initially identified in the 1980s, its pathogenic potential was further recognized when the first case of bacteremia was reported. Since then, only a few infections caused by this pathogen have been described. Although considered an opportunistic agent, fatal outcomes are associated with the infection by this pathogen, since it is more prevalent among the patients with immunodeficiency. The authors report the case of a middle-aged man diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and alcoholic pancreatitis, who was admitted to the emergency department with septic shock. Physical examination disclosed peritoneal irritation and a laparotomy was undertaken. Purulent peritonitis was found as well as a retroperitoneal abscess, which was drained. The postoperative period was troublesome, and the patient died. The autopsy showed a ruptured, infected pancreatic cyst and purulent peritonitis, among other findings. The culture of the peritoneal fluid and two blood sample sets were positive for R. planticola. The authors call attention to the importance of this emerging pathogen associated with severe gastrointestinal infection

A Eficácia da Plataforma Talky - a Destrava Línguas em Crianças com Perturbações da Linguagem

Neste trabalho, começamos por focar a nossa atenção nas perturbações da linguagem. Assim, fazemos uma abordagem à literatura existente sobre estas perturbações, analisando os conceitos de comunicação, linguagem e fala. Com base neste enquadramento teórico, consideramos importante conhecer que impacto poderá ter a utilização de software educativo nos alunos com perturbações da linguagem, assim como determinar que fatores favorecem e condicionam essa utilização. A proposta para o uso de software educativo, numa perspetiva de aprendizagem, desenvolve-se a partir da utilização das Tecnologias da Comunicação e Informação (TIC) ao nível do ensino e em particular da Educação Especial (EE), considerando questões como: adequação dos conteúdos à realidade do educando, aplicação de novas metodologias que incentivem a participação ativa do aluno no processo de aprendizagem e redefinição dos objetivos a fim de ampliar o desenvolvimento do indivíduo para a sua inserção na sociedade moderna. É assim nossa intenção perceber se o uso das TIC, nomeadamente de softwares educativos, poderá apresentar resultados significativos no processo de construção de conhecimento, proporcionando condições para o desenvolvimento cognitivo, visando a motivação, a autonomia e a especificidade de cada aluno. Para tal, criamos uma plataforma interativa passível de ser utilizada por professores, profissionais e até mesmo pais de crianças com estas perturbações. Assim, este projeto parte de um estudo de natureza qualitativa, investigando, através do estudo de caso, se a utilização do software educativo “Talky – A Destrava Língua” será um instrumento capaz de minimizar ou até mesmo colmatar as dificuldades inerentes às crianças portadoras destas perturbações.In this paper, we begin by focusing our attention on language disorders. So we make an approach to the existing literature on these disorders by analyzing the concepts of communication, language and speech. Based on this study of the theory we consider important to know what impact the use of educational software for students with language disorders, as well as determine what factors favor and constrain such use. The proposal for the use of educational software in a learning perspective, it develops from the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teaching level and in particular the Special Education, considering issues such as the adequacy of contents to the reality of the student, the application of new methodologies that encourage active student participation in the learning process and repurposing in order to expand the development of the individual for their inclusion in modern society. It is thus our intention to perceive the use of ICT, including educational software, can provide significant results in knowledge-building process, providing conditions for cognitive development, focusing on motivation, autonomy and the specificity of each student. To this end, we created a platform that can be used by teachers, professionals and even parents of children with these disorders interactive application. This project is based on a theoretical study, investigating through a case study, the use of the educational software "Talky – A Destrava Línguas" is a tool to minimize or even overcome the inherent difficulties of children with these disorders

Desenvolvimento de sistemas media gateway de acesso ETSI TISPAN

Mestrado em Engenharia Electrónica e de Telecomunicações e InformáticaAs Redes de Próxima Geração prometem trazer muitos benefícios aos operadores de telecomunicações. Os operadores que as implementarem poderão oferecer uma maior variedade de aplicações e serviços aos seus subscritores independentemente da sua localização, com custos e complexidade reduzidos. Desta forma os operadores poderão aumentar a sua oferta, com os novos serviços que podem ser oferecidos, enquanto as suas despesas de capital e operação poderão ser reduzidas com a migração das redes telef ónicas baseadas em TDM para as novas arquitecturas de convergência IP. A presente dissertação efectua um estudo destas redes, apresentando os seus requisitos, arquitecturas, protocolos e princípios de funcionamento, dando especial relevância ao sistemas Media Gateway de Acesso e de Trunking. Desta forma foram estudadas e testadas soluções dos subsistema TISPAN de emulação da rede PSTN baseada em IMS para os acessos fixos e dos sistemas de Trunking TISPAN e IMS. É também apresentado o projecto de desenvolvimento de uma Media Gateway de Acesso a integrar na rede SHipNET da PT Inovação. ABSTRACT: Next Generation Networks will bring many benefits to telecommunication networks operators. Operators that deploy it can potentially offer a much wider range of applications and services, to subscribers irrespective of their location, at reduced cost and complexity. This way, operators will increase their revenues through the additional services that can be offered, while their capital expenditure and operation expenses will decrease with their migration from legacy TDM networks to converged network architectures based on IP. This thesis presents a study of these networks, showing their requirements, architectures, protocols and operational principles, giving special relevance to the Media Gateway systems: Access and Trunking. Thus, were studied and tested solutions of the TISPAN PSTN Emulation Subsystem based on IMS, for fixed access, and Trunking systems of IMS and TISPAN. This thesis also presents the project of development of an Access Media Gateway to integrate into the SHipNET network of PT Inovação

A rotatividade de membros da equipa e a eficácia da mesma: o papel moderador da liderança e da centralidade.

As empresas de consultoria debatem-se anualmente com o problema de altas taxas de rotatividade dos membros das suas equipas, algo que impacta negativamente o desempenho e eficácia das mesmas. Neste sentido, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi o de avaliar não só o papel da liderança do tipo funcional, como também o da centralidade dos membros que saíram, enquanto moderadoras desta relação. Para levar a cabo esta investigação, foram passados dois tipos de questionários em papel a colaboradores de empresas de consultoria, sendo um destinado aos membros de uma dada equipa e o outro ao seu respetivo líder. Participaram neste estudo 42 equipas, 154 indivíduos, todos integrantes de empresas de consultoria. Os resultados demonstraram que nem a liderança funcional, nem a centralidade exercem um papel moderador desta relação, não suportando assim as hipóteses da presente investigação. Apesar da literatura sugerir que há uma relação, os resultados não serem significativos podem ser explicados por uma série de fatores, nomeadamente o tipo de contexto e equipa em questão, o timing da saída dos colaboradores e o facto da centralidade ser estudada através de redes sociais.Consulting firms debate annually with the problem of high membership exchange rates, something that negatively impacts their team’s performance and effectiveness. In this sense, the present study aimed to evaluate not only the role of functional leadership, but also the centrality of the members who left, as moderators of this relationship. To carry out this research, two types of paper questionnaires were distributed to employees of consulting firms, one for members of a given team and the other for their respective leader. Forty two teams, 154 individuals, all members of consulting firms, participated in this study. The results showed that neither functional leadership nor centrality play a moderating role in this relationship, thus not supporting the hypotheses of the present investigation. Although the literature suggests that there is a relationship, the results not being significant can be explained by a series of factors, namely the type of context and team in question, the timing of employee departure and the fact centrality is studied through social networks

Caracterização gravimétrica do material reciclável destinado à Coocima pelo programa de coleta seletiva do município de Caçador-SC

The environmental impact caused by solid waste has become a stalemate for both public and private. The objective of this work was to characterize physical and gravimetric composition of recyclable waste from urban and rural areas of the municipality of Caçador-SC. The study was conducted in Cooperativa Cidadania e Meio Ambiente,the period from29/07/2013 will 30/08/2013.Thetotal sample volume was 783.037 kg /month, corresponding to 447.109 kg / month in urban areas and 335.929 kg / month in the rural. The areas were divided into 9 sectors, corresponding to neighborhoods and rural lines, and performed five sampling each sector, based on the data presented paper 10.538%, 22.869% cardboard, Tetra Pack 7,647%, 3,048% Metal, Aluminum 2.961%, 9.885 Glass % Plastic Flexible 11.169%, 13.150%Hard Plastic, PET 6,862%, 2,942% Organic, Styrofoam 0.499% E 0.643%, 0.566% Lamps. Batteries 0.420%, 3.242% and reject Sanitary 3,559%. To determine thegravimetric composition of these residues was followed NBR 10007/04. From this it was possible to raise the analysis and calculation of the standard deviation, per capita generation of municipal and sample mean of each of the sectors. These data will be used in the Plan Integrated Municipal Waste Management in the Municipality of Hunter, which will impose the guidelines regarding the waste liable to recycling.O impacto ambiental causado pelos resíduos sólidos tem se tornado um impasse para as entidades públicas e privadas. Com isso, objetivou-se com este trabalho a caracterização física e composição gravimétrica dos resíduos recicláveis das áreas urbanas e rurais do município de Caçador-SC. O estudo foi realizado na Cooperativa Cidadania e Meio Ambiente, no período de 29/07/2013 á 30/08/2013. O volume total amostrado foi de 783,037 Kg/mês, correspondente a 447,109 kg/mês na área urbana e 335,929 kg/mês  em área rural. As áreas foram dividida em 9 setores, correspondendo aos bairros e linhas rurais do município, sendo realizado cinco amostragem por cada setor, baseados nesses dados papel apresentou 10,538%, papelão 22,869%, Tetra Pack 7,647%, Metal 3,048%, Alumínio 2,961%, Vidro 9,885%, Plástico Flexível 11,169%, Plástico Duro 13,150%, PET  6,862%, Orgânico 2,942%, Isopor 0,499%, Eletrônico 0,643%, Lâmpadas 0,566%, Pilhas 0,420%, Rejeito 3,242% e Sanitário 3,559%. Para a determinação da composição gravimétrica da desses resíduos foi seguido a NBR 10007/04. A partir dessa foi possível levantar as análises e cálculos do desvio padrão, geração per capta do município e média amostral de cada um dos setores. Esses dados serão utilizados no Plano Municipal Integrado de Gestão de Resíduos do município de Caçador, no qual vai impor as diretrizes referentes aos resíduos passiveis de reciclagem
