Notes primeres sobre la sort dels artistes catalans a causa de la Guerra Civil

El present estudi recopila una sèrie de dades a través de memòries i recerques d’altres autors amb el clar propòsit d’apropar-nos a l’art català de la postguerra, quan molts artisteses van veure obligats a exiliar-se l’any 1939. Es tracta tant dels artistes que van marxar com dels que van restar, que van fer per sobreviure i com es va veure reflectit en el seu art. Tot i que aquest text dona molts noms d’artistes directament afectats per la guerra civil, sabem que n’hi ha molts d’altres, per tant, aquestes pàgines volen ser una invitació a seguir investigant per tal de recuperar-los a la memòria històrica que en justícia els hi correspon.Resumen: Primeras notas sobre la suerte de los artistas catalanes a causa de la Guerra Civil. El presente estudio recopila una serie de datos procedentes de memorias e investigacionesde otros autores, con el claro propósito de acercarnos al arte catalán de la post-guerra, cuando muchos artistas se vieron obligados a exiliarse en 1939. Trata de lo que hicieron los artistas, tanto de los que se fueron como de los que se quedaron, para sobrevivir y cómo se vió reflejado en su arte. Aunque este estudio da muchos nombres de artistas afectados por la guerra, sabemos que fueron muchos más, y estas páginas pretenden ser un invitación a continuar investigando para recuperarlos e incluirlos en la memoria histórica que por justicia les corresponde.Abstract: First notes on the fate of Catalan artists resulting from the Civil War. This study compiles a series of data from the report and research of other authors, with the clear purpose of approaching the Catalan art of the post-war period, and more precisely that of 1939, when many artists were forced into exile. It is about what the artists both those who left and those who stayed did to survive, and how this situation was reflected in their art. Although this study provides many names of artists affected by the war, we know that there were many more, and these pages aim to be an invitation to continue researching to recover and include them in the historical memory that should justly be theirs

Broad and diverse themes, full of nuances, changes and interpretations throughout history, and at the same time a lot of ambiguities. A reflection in this sense can only have a subjective character, based on the reflection itself and the experience of contact with the artistic context, and does not imply in any case, the elaboration of a specialized knowledge, but only the possibility of sharing ideas and suggestions on topics that are naturally open and approximate, susceptible to controversial interpretation. The reason is obvious; On the one hand, they affect the concept of art and art, and consequently, the valuation that each historical moment has fostered or accepted of these concepts; On the other hand, the social perception of the artist and his work has oscillated in an extraordinary way from one moment to another throughout our civilization, which includes situations as diverse as the ancient world, unionized work in the Middle Ages, or the strong current individualism and the decisive entrance to the work of art as a stellar element of a powerful market on the rise.Temas amplios y diversos, llenos de matices, cambios e interpretaciones a lo largo de la historia, y a la vez una buena cantidad de ambigüedades. Una reflexión en ese sentido sólo puede tener un carácter subjetivo, con base en la propia reflexión y a la experiencia del contacto con el contexto artístico, y no supone en ningún caso, la elaboración de un conocimiento especializado, sino solamente la posibilidad de compartir ideas y sugerencias sobre unos temas por naturaleza abiertos y de aproximación, susceptibles de interpretación polémica. Biophysical assessment of human aquaporin-7 as a water and glycerol channel in 3T3-L1 adipocytes

The plasma membrane aquaporin-7 (AQP7) has been shown to be expressed in adipose tissue and its role in glycerol release/uptake in adipocytes has been postulated and correlated with obesity onset. However, some studies have contradicted this view. Based on this situation, we have re-assessed the precise localization of AQP7 in adipose tissue and analyzed its function as a water and/or glycerol channel in adipose cells. Fractionation of mice adipose tissue revealed that AQP7 is located in both adipose and stromal vascular fractions. Moreover, AQP7 was the only aquaglyceroporin expressed in adipose tissue and in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. By overexpressing the human AQP7 in 3T3-L1 adipocytes it was possible to ascertain its role as a water and glycerol channel in a gain-of-function scenario. AQP7 expression had no effect in equilibrium cell volume but AQP7 loss of function correlated with higher triglyceride content. Furthermore it is also reported for the first time a negative correlation between water permeability and the cell non-osmotic volume supporting the observation that AQP7 depleted cells are more prone to lipid accumulation. Additionally, the strong positive correlation between the rates of water and glycerol transport highlights the role of AQP7 as both a water and a glycerol channel and reflects its expression levels in cells. In all, our results clearly document a direct involvement of AQP7 in water and glycerol transport, as well as in triglyceride content in adipocytes

Melting temperature of YBa2Cu3O7−x and GdBa2Cu3O7−x at subatmospheric partial pressure

AbstractThe melting temperature, Tm, of YBa2Cu3O7−x and GdBa2Cu3O7−x superconductor ceramic compounds has been measured by differential thermal analysis (DTA) over a large oxygen partial pressure range of five orders of magnitude (2·10−5 < PO2 < 1 bar). It is shown that the DTA peak and endset temperatures are closer to Tm than the onset temperature. Correct measurement of Tm requires low heating rates and subatmospheric pressure conditions to avoid temperature shifts due to local oxygen overpressure and kinetic effects

Critical pathway for deceased tissue donation: a novel adaptative European systematic approach

Definitions of tissue donors according to the donation stage have been developed so that they can be adapted to different local scenarios. This critical pathway can be used retrospectively to evaluate the potential of tissue donation, assess performance in the tissue donation process and identify areas for improvement. It sets the basis to build indicators to compare organizations, regions and countries. The critical pathway can also be used prospectively to promote good practices in tissue donation programmes aimed at covering the tissue transplantation needs of patients

El escrito en la oralidad: el texto intentado

A partir de una breve presentación de los trabajos realizados por el grupo GREAL en la línea de establecer relaciones entre el uso y los conocimientos lingüísticos, el artículo se centra en la investigación realizada sobre la interacción oral para la composición escrita en colaboración. La producción de textos en grupo se encuadra en el modelo de secuencia didáctica (SD), desarrollado y experimentado por los autores para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la composición escrita, cuyas características se describen sucintamente. En este marco se presentan, ejemplifican y analizan los conceptos de texto intentado (Ti), en contraposición al texto escrito (Te), y de reformulación como constructos teórico-metodológicos aptos para la interpretación de las operaciones y factores sociocognitivos que intervienen en los procesos de escritura y también para analizar la actividad lingüística y metalingüística de los participantes en la actividad de composición escrita. La aplicación de los instrumentos de análisis citados ofrece información relevante sobre: a) las operaciones de planificación, textualización y revisión durante el proceso de elaboración del texto; b) las posibles causas de las modificaciones que experimenta el texto a lo largo del proceso: mecanismos de cohesión textual, posición enunciativa, corrección normativa y adecuación de los escritos. Permite, asimismo, avanzar la hipótesis que la elaboración de textos en colaboración contribuye a potenciar la actividad metalingüística y el aprendizaje.After a short presentation of previous research done by the authors -Group GREAL- aiming to bridge the gap between language use and language knowledge, the text focuses on oral interaction in the process of collaborative writing. Collaborative text production takes place in the framework of didactic sequences (SD), a teaching and learning model of writing developed and experimented by this group. A succint description of SD characteristics is offered. Concepts as intended text (Ti), as opposed to written text (Te), and reformulation are presented, exemplified and discussed as theoretical and methodological constructs able to interpret the diverse cognitive and sociocognitive factors interacting in the composition process. Through them evidence is given of the participants linguistic and metalinguistic activity during the process. Ti and reformulation analysis gives relevant information about: a) planification, textualization and revision operations along joint text production; b) factors involved in text modifications across the writing activity -text cohesion, the writers enunciative position, and text correction.
