    ACCELERATED LEARNING BERBANTUAN SOFTWARE MAPLE SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS DAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA SMA

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan minat belajar. Namun kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematisdan minat belajarsiswa masih rendah. Agar permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi, diperlukan sebuah model pembelajaran yang dapatmeningkatkankemampuan komunikasi matematis dan minat belajarsiswa.Olehkarenaitu, dipilih modelAccelerated Learning Berbantuan Software Maple. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaahpeningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan minat belajarsiswa, danmenelaahhubunganantara kemampuan komunikasi dan minat belajar.Penelitianinimerupakanpenelitiankuasieksperimendenganpretest-postest control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X pada salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Purwokerto. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara purposive sampling.Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket minat belajar, lembar observasi, serta pedoman wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif.Analisis data tersebutmenggunakanMann-Whitney U Testdan uji asosiasi Chi Square. Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan bahwa: (1)pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh Accelerated LearningBerbantuanSoftware Maplelebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa;(2) peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh Accelerated LearningBerbantuanSoftware Maplelebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa, (3) pencapaian kemampuan minat belajar siswa yang memperoleh Accelerated LearningBerbantuanSoftware Maplelebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa; (4) peningkatan kemampuan minat belajar siswa yang memperoleh Accelerated LearningBerbantuanSoftware Maplelebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa; dan(5) terdapat asosiasi antara kemampuan komunikasi dan minat belajarsiswadengan kategori rendah. ---------- This research was motivated by the importance of mathematical communication learning interest of students.     Villsvin i Norge. Bestandsovervåking: Utbredelse, områdebruk og diett

Norsk institutt for naturforskning. http://hdl.handle.net/11250/3122084 Villsvinet (Sus scrofa) har nylig gjenetablert seg i Norge, og regnes som en fremmed art på grunn av opphavet fra den reetablerte svenske villsvinbestanden. Villsvinet er en kontroversiell art i norsk natur som kan gjøre skade på innmark, den er en vektor for parasitter og alvorlige dyresykdommer som afrikansk svinepest (ASP), men den er også en verdsatt jaktressurs. Miljødirektoratet og Mattilsynet kom i 2019 med en handlingsplan mot villsvin, med mål om færrest mulig villsvin på minst mulig område. Målet ble høsten 2023 endret til utryddelse, som følge av påvist ASP hos villsvin i Sverige. I februar 2024 ble det utgitt et tillegg til handlingsplanen, der foreslåtte tiltak inkluderer en grundig bestandsovervåking. For å nå forvaltningsmålet er det nødvendig med overvåking, slik at vi kan få økt kunnskap om villsvinets utbredelse og bestandstall, populasjonsgenetikk, områdebruk og diett. Dette er også viktig kunnskap som grunnlag for avgrensing av tiltakssoner ved utbrudd av ASP. NINA bygger opp et effektivt system for bestandsovervåking av villsvin i Norge. Her presenterer vi resultater på tre prosjekter, som sammen kan gi styrket bestandsovervåking og økt beredskap mot ASP. Vi presenterer oppdaterte resultater for sannsynlig utbredelse av villsvin i Norge og tetthetsestimater i kjerneområdet, de første resultatene fra radiomerking av villsvin i Norge, og gir et innblikk i villsvinets høst- og vinterdiett. Estimater på villsvinets utbredelse i Norge viser at nye observasjoner av villsvin etter mars 2023 faller innenfor det tidligere utbredelsesområdet, uten tydelig ekspansjon. Det var en klar nedgang av observasjoner i tidligere Hedmark fylke, mens observasjoner i Akershus/Østfold var stabile. Samlet tyder dette på færre villsvin i omkringliggende områder til kjerneutbredelsen i Østfold. I kjerneområdet finner vi stabile bestandstall, men med store usikkerhetsestimater som sannsynligvis kan forbedres med mer omfattende datainnsamling. Pilotprosjektet på GPS-merking av fem villsvin har gitt oss nødvendig erfaring om fangst og merking av villsvin i Norge, og en god basis for mer omfattende prosjekter. Villsvinene beveget seg over relativt store områder og brukte mer tid på innmark utover høsten. Til tross for et begrenset datagrunnlag, har dette pilotprosjektet allerede gitt indikasjoner på at vi ikke nødvendigvis kan overføre kunnskap om arealbruk fra Sverige til Norge direkte. Dette understreker behovet for videre forskning på villsvins områdebruk i Norge, som lever under lavere bestandstettheter og andre klimatiske og topografiske forhold. Slik kunnskap er nødvendig for en mer presis avgrensing av tiltakssoner mot ASP. Et metodeutviklingsprosjekt på diett, med møkkprøver fra 50 villsvin, viser at trøfler utgjør en betydelig del av villsvinets høst- og vinterdiett i Norge. Det var ingen klare forskjeller i diettsammensetning mellom kjønn, alder eller kroppsvekt, som kan skyldes en opportunistisk fôrsøktaktikk. Arter som hvete, bygg og potet stammet fra antatt menneskelig aktivitet som jordbruk og åter. Tyngre hanner konsumerte 50 % mer av dette enn lettere hunner, som kan indikere ulik risikosensitivitet mellom kjønn, da åpen innmark kan oppfattes mer utrygt. Studier av villsvinets diett er viktig for å forstå utbredelse, vinteroverlevelse og bestandsvekst, data som er nødvendige i håndteringen av et utbrudd med ASP eller annen alvorlig smittsom sykdom. De tre prosjektene presentert her viser god synergi samtidig som de hver for seg har potensiale til å levere avgjørende informasjon for de ulike problemstillingene forvaltningen står ovenfor, fra generell utbredelse, til næringstilgang og fødevalg, lokal områdebruk og mulig smitterisiko til svinebesetninger.     COVID-19 lockdowns in early 2020 reduced human mobility, providing an opportunity to disentangle its effects on animals from those of landscape modifications. Using GPS data, we compared movements and road avoidance of 2300 terrestrial mammals (43 species) during the lockdowns to the same period in 2019. Individual responses were variable with no change in average movements or road avoidance behavior, likely due to variable lockdown conditions. However, under strict lockdowns 10-day 95th percentile displacements increased by 73%, suggesting increased landscape permeability. Animals' 1-hour 95th percentile displacements declined by 12% and animals were 36% closer to roads in areas of high human footprint, indicating reduced avoidance during lockdowns.     Moving in the anthropocene: global reductions in terrestrial mammalian movements

    Animal movement is fundamental for ecosystem functioning and species survival, yet the effects of the anthropogenic footprint on animal movements have not been estimated across species. Using a unique GPS-tracking database of 803 individuals across 57 species, we found that movements of mammals in areas with a comparatively high human footprint were on average one-half to one-third the extent of their movements in areas with a low human footprint. We attribute this reduction to behavioral changes of individual animals and to the exclusion of species with long-range movements from areas with higher human impact. Global loss of vagility alters a key ecological trait of animals that affects not only population persistence but also ecosystem processes such as predator-prey interactions, nutrient cycling, and disease transmission

    Guerrilla government : political changes in the southern Sudan during the 1990s

    Although it suffered a serious setback when, in 1991, three senior commanders tried to wrestle control from its leader, John Garang, the SPLM/A has remained the main rebel organisation in the southern Sudan since the start of the second civil war in 1983. At a national level the SPLM/As influence over political development in the south has been matched only by the government in Khartoum and its armed forces, and at a local level only by chiefs, who derive their power from the old system of indirect rule, established by the British during the colonial period. An understanding of the changes and processes within the SPLM/A is, therefore, essential to an analysis of the Sudans contemporary history and current events, which includes continuing peace negotiations, and the planning of post-war southern Sudan. This volume analyses the main events leading up to the SPLM/As current position of supremacy and follows the process of internal reform that has brought about a nascent state structure amidst a devastating civil war and continuous humanitarian crisis.The book consists of three chronologically ordered, integrated parts, where the first part discusses the effect of the split in 1991 and the movements political and administrative structures prior to its National Convention in 1994. The activities of southern rebels, traditional structures and humanitarian agencies are described, and the study shows how the interaction between these institutions constituted a unique political system.The 1994 Convention is discussed in the second part. The Convention was, and to some extent still is, regarded by most members of the SPLM/A as one of the Movement’s greatest achievements. Here the processes leading up to the National Convention is recaptured; preparations and the event itself are discussed thoroughly.Finally, the book analyses the significance of the Convention and its reforms in the light of later attempts at implementation when, in the last part of the 1990s, political paralysis set in as the Movement experienced unprecedented military success. The discussion is brought to a conclusion with a brief summary of events during the period 2000–2004 and presents some thoughts on the future government of the south Sudan. Guerrilla Government is of interest to academics, humanitarian workers and diplomats concerned with the Sudan’s contemporary history, civil wars and humanitarian operations in a war-zone. The book contributes towards documenting the experience of the southern Sudanese and the pretext for the current peace process, and provides ample case material for students of insurgencies and internal conflicts.
