    Aplicación para puntuar y llevar un seguimiento de las series y películas del catálogo de los principales servicios de streaming

    [Resumen] La finalidad del proyecto es proporcionar una aplicación web a los usuarios de los principales servicios de streaming (Netflix, HBO, Disney +, Movistar + o Prime Video) para que puedan llevar un seguimiento de las películas y series que vean, puntuarlas y comentarlas de forma que los usuarios puedan interactuar entre ellos. El Backend de la aplicación está desarrollado en Java EE usando el Framework de Spring Boot. Para la persistencia de datos usamos JPA y MySQL. Para la comunicación entre el backend y el Frontend de la aplicación se recurre a una API REST. El frontend consiste en una aplicación Single Page Application (SPA) implementada en Javascript, usando los frameworks React y Redux. Estos servicios de streaming no ofrecen ninguna API para poder consultar su catálogo. Sin embargo, existen APIs de terceros que sí lo hacen, aunque en general, no de forma gratuita. En el proyecto se usa una API que da información sobre el catálogo de Netflix de manera gratuita, pero limita el número de consultas diarias. El modelado de datos utilizado en el presente trabajo es independiente del servicio de streaming.[Abstract]The purpose of the project is to provide a web application to users of major streaming services (Netflix, HBO, Disney +, Movistar + or Prime Video) so they can keep track of the movies and series they watch, rate them and comment on them so that users can interact with each other. The backend of the application is developed in Java EE using the Spring Boot framework. For data persistence we use JPA and MySQL.     Innovación y desempeño empresarial: Estudio bibliométrico

    El objetivo del estudio fue investigar la innovación y su influencia en el rendimiento empresarial mediante análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica desde el año 2000 al año 2022. Se procedió a revisar publicaciones científicas especializadas en la base de datos Web of Science. Se identificaron un total de 1996 documentos, de las cuales se seleccionó una muestra base de 548 para el desarrollo del análisis bibliométrico. Se analizó la contribución científica internacional. Se examinó la producción anual científica, las revistas con más publicaciones, la producción por país, los documentos más citados, las palabras más relevantes, la red de palabras claves utilizadas por los autores, la red de colaboración por países, entre otras variables. Los resultados destacaron que la producción científica más significativa fue entre 2018 y 2021, con 344 registros. La mayor producción la tuvieron China con 591 y los Estados Unidos con 460 productos. El autor más citado es Teece, D.J. con 4,794 citas, seguido de Jiménez-Jiménez, D. con 650, y Matsuno, K. con 498. Se concluyó que la innovación impacta el rendimiento empresarial con una tendencia ascendente porque fortalece el desarrollo de las organizaciones

    Thermal characterization of ethylammonium nitrate

    The 20th International Electronic Conference on Synthetic Organic Chemistry session Ionic LiquidsBeyond their traditional usage in fuel cell applications, the category of protic ionic liquids (PILs) has been recently signalled as a potential candidate for battery applications. Despite being the oldest known IL, and of having been extensively characterized in most of its properties, a full thermal and stability analysis of ethylammonium nitrate (EAN) both in its solid and liquid phases is still lacking. In the present work thermal analysis techniques were used to characterize its thermal transitions and thermal stability. A differential scanning calorimeter DSC Q100 TA-Instruments with aluminium pans hermetically sealed was used to determine the different state transitions experienced by the IL during heating and cooling cycles. Results showed that this IL is a very good crystal-former with melting and freezing peaks at 17ºC and -28ºC respectively. Moreover, stability analysis has been performed by means of a thermogravimetric analyser (TGA 7-Perkin Elmer) operating in dynamic and isothermal modes, under nitrogen and dry air atmospheres was used to perform thermal stability analysis. Similar onset temperatures in air and nitrogen of 248±4ºC were obtained.     Supporting the link between firm and research in the Degree in Business and Management Studies

    El objetivo principal de este artículo es presentar el proyecto de innovación docente llevado a cabo durante el curso 2017/2018 entre el alumnado del Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas de la Universidad de Córdoba y, en concreto, en asignaturas relacionadas con las finanzas y la contabilidad. En este proyecto se ha implementado una nueva metodología docente al objeto de mejorar la adquisición y el desarrollo de competencias por parte del alumnado en un contexto de íntima conexión entre empresa e investigación, al objeto de simular el contexto real en el cual le serán demandadas las competencias a los graduados en el momento en que se enfrenten a su entrada en el mercado de trabajo. La metodología y las actividades que se han desarrollado para conseguir este objetivo principal incluyen: i) un seminario impartido por un profesional financiero de una empresa real; ii) el método de aprendizaje basado en problemas reales y soluciones científicas; iii) trabajo cooperativo en clase; y iv) un seminario impartido por un investigador en finanzas. Los resultados sugieren que esta metodología promueve de manera eficaz la adquisición de competencias entre el alumnado, especialmente aquellas relativas a interpretar la información financiera y resolver problemas financieros corporativos.The main objective of this paper is to present a teaching innovation project that has been implemented during the 2017/2018 academic year among students enrolled in the Degree in Business and Management at the University of Cordoba and, specifically, in subjects related to finance and accounting. In this innovation project a new teaching methodology has been implemented in order to improve the acquisition and development of competences by the students in a context of close connection between companies and research, to simulate the real context in which competences will be demanded to graduates when they face their entry into the labour market. The methodology and activities that have been developed to achieve this main objective include: i) a seminar by a financial professional of a real company; ii) a learning method based on real problems and scientific solutions; iii) cooperative work; and iv) a seminar by a researcher in finance. The results of this study allow to confirm that this methodology promotes in an effective way the acquisition of competences among students, especially those related to interpreting financial information and solving corporations’ financial problems

    First observations of oblique ionospheric sounding chirp signal in Mexico

    The results of the first experiment of oblique ionospheric sounding (OIS) chirp signal reception in Mexico are reported. Maximal and Lowest Observed Frequencies variations were studied under the quiet Space Weather conditions. The diurnal ionospheric variations by OIS signal confirm the results based on GNSS data in the Mexican region. The best HF radio propagation conditions along the considered path are during morning and daytime hours. The multi-hop propagation is frequent. The interlayer propagation modes are present at nighttime

    Synthesis, microstructure and volumetry of novel metal thiocyanate ionic liquids with [BMIM] cation

    We present a new family of ionic liquids (ILs) with a common cation, 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium, the popular [BMIM]+ (also written C4C1Im+) and a variety of anionic complexes (also called adducts) based in thiocyanate (SCN)?: one blank compound, BMIM(SCN), and ten doped with metals having different oxidation states: Al+3, Mn+2, Fe+3, Cr+3, Ni+2, Hg+2, Zn+2, Co+2, Cd+2 and Cu+, forming, respectively, [BMIM]3[Al(SCN)6], [BMIM]4 Mn(SCN)6, [BMIM]3 Fe(SCN)6, [BMIM]3 Cr(SCN)6, [BMIM]4 Ni(SCN)6, [BMIM]2 Hg(SCN)4, [BMIM]2 Zn(SCN)4, [BMIM]2 Co(SCN)4, [BMIM]2 Cd(SCN)4 and [BMIM]3 Cu(SCN)4. All of them were synthesized by us, except the blank IL and the Co thiocyanate, which are commercial. Obtained products have been characterized by NMR, and also by electrospray ionization, MS-ES, which allows the determination of the new ILs purities. Then, compounds have been analyzed using FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy. In addition, magnetic susceptibility and refractive index measurements were performed in some of the compounds studied, as well as thermal characterization using DSC and TGA. Finally, experimental measurements of density on all those ILs have been performed, and for some of the samples in a broad temperature range (about 100 K). In spite of being very similar compounds from the chemical point of view, they present quite different physical properties, including optical, thermal and magnetic ones? Also, they show different oxidation states (one with +1, six with +2 and other three with +3). We guess that this family of ILs will have interesting applications, mainly for photonic devices

    Identification of the PTPN22 functional variant R620W as susceptibility genetic factor for giant cell arteritis

    Objective: To analyse the role of the PTPN22 and CSK genes, previously associated with autoimmunity, in the predisposition and clinical phenotypes of giant cell arteritis (GCA). Methods: Our study population was composed of 911 patients diagnosed with biopsy-proven GCA and 8136 unaffected controls from a Spanish discovery cohort and three additional independent replication cohorts from Germany, Norway and the UK. Two functional PTPN22 polymorphisms (rs2476601/R620W and rs33996649/R263Q) and two variants of the CSK gene (rs1378942 and rs34933034) were genotyped using predesigned TaqMan assays. Results: The analysis of the discovery cohort provided evidence of association of PTPN22 rs2476601/R620W with GCA (PFDR=1.06E-04, OR=1.62, CI 95% 1.29 to 2.04). The association did not appear to follow a specific GCA subphenotype. No statistically significant differences between allele frequencies for the other PTPN22 and CSK genetic variants were evident either in the case/control or in stratified case analysis. To confirm the detected PTPN22 association, three replication cohorts were genotyped, and a consistent association between the PTPN22 rs2476601/R620W variant and GCA was evident in the overall meta-analysis (PMH=2.00E-06, OR=1.51, CI 95% 1.28 to 1.79). Conclusions: Our results suggest that the PTPN22 polymorphism rs2476601/R620W plays an important role in the genetic risk to GCA

    Demographic and clinical profile of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients in Spain: the SEPAR National Registry

    BackgroundLittle is known on the characteristics of patients diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in Spain. We aimed to characterize the demographic and clinical profile of IPF patients included in the IPF National Registry of the Spanish Respiratory Society (SEPAR).MethodsThis is a prospective, observational, multicentre and nationwide study that involved 608 IPF patients included in the SEPAR IPF Registry up to June 27th, 2017, and who received any treatment for their disease. IPF patients were predominantly males, ex-smokers, and aged in their 70s, similar to other registries.ResultsUpon inclusion, meanSD predicted forced vital capacity was 77.6%+/- 19.4, diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide was 48.5%+/- 17.7, and the 6-min walk distance was 423.5m +/- 110.4. The diagnosis was mainly established on results from the high-resolution computed tomography in the proper clinical context (55.0% of patients), while 21.2% of patients required invasive procedures (surgical lung biopsy) for definitive diagnosis. Anti-fibrotic treatment was prescribed in 69.4% of cases, 51.5% pirfenidone and 17.9% nintedanib, overall with a good safety profile.Conclusions The SEPAR IPF Registry should help to further characterize current characteristics and future trends of IPF patients in Spain and compare/pool them with other registries and cohorts
