    Electric Field Features and Its Application for Air Gap Breakdown Voltage Prediction

    Air gap breakdown voltage prediction by mathematical calculations instead of experiments has been a long sought goal in the area of high-voltage engineering. In this chapter, a prediction method is proposed based on the electric field features and support vector machine (SVM). Two sets of electric field features are defined on the shortest interelectrode path of sphere-sphere and rod (sphere)-plane gap to characterize their spatial structures, which can be extracted from the electric field calculation results by finite element method (FEM). A breakdown voltage prediction model is established by SVM, while the input parameters are the electric field features, and the output parameters are −1 and 1, respectively, characterizing withstanding and breakdown of an air gap under the applied voltage. The proposed method is used to predict the power frequency breakdown voltages of IEC standard sphere-sphere air gaps and the switching impulse discharge voltages of large sphere-plane air gaps. The prediction results coincide well with the experimental data, the mean absolute percentage error of the 260 sphere-sphere gaps is within 2% and that of the 16 sphere-plane gaps is 3.2%. The results preliminarily validate the validity and accuracy of the proposed method for air gap breakdown voltage prediction

    SE-Bridge: Speech Enhancement with Consistent Brownian Bridge

    We propose SE-Bridge, a novel method for speech enhancement (SE). After recently applying the diffusion models to speech enhancement, we can achieve speech enhancement by solving a stochastic differential equation (SDE). Each SDE corresponds to a probabilistic flow ordinary differential equation (PF-ODE), and the trajectory of the PF-ODE solution consists of the speech states at different moments. Our approach is based on consistency model that ensure any speech states on the same PF-ODE trajectory, correspond to the same initial state. By integrating the Brownian Bridge process, the model is able to generate high-intelligibility speech samples without adversarial training. This is the first attempt that applies the consistency models to SE task, achieving state-of-the-art results in several metrics while saving 15 x the time required for sampling compared to the diffusion-based baseline. Our experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of SE-Bridge in SE. Furthermore, we show through extensive experiments on downstream tasks, including Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Speaker Verification (SV), that SE-Bridge can effectively support multiple downstream tasks

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi luasnya tingkat pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial Perusahaan (Corporate Social Responsibility) dengan menguji pengaruh ukuran Perusahaan, profitabilitas, leverage, kepemilikan insti­tusional, ukuran dewan komisaris, ukuran dewan direksi, dan ukuran komite audit. Sampel yang digunakan adalah Perusahaan sektor pertambangan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama 2010-2012. Data diperoleh dari laporan keuangan auditan dan laporan tahunan serta laporan keberlanjutan (sustainability report) jika ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear berganda. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ukuran Perusahaan dan komite audit memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap peng­ungkapan tanggung jawab sosial.     Safety, tolerance, and pharmacokinetics of salvianolic acid B in healthy Chinese volunteers: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 1 clinical trial

    Background: Salvianolic acid B (Sal B) is one of the main active ingredients of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. In China, many traditional Chinese medicines have been modified into injections for higher bioavailability and better efficacy. Salvianolic acid injection has been widely used in the clinic.Objective: This phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single-center study aimed to evaluate the safety, tolerance, and pharmacokinetics of Sal B injection in healthy Chinese volunteers.Methods: For the single-ascending-dose study, forty-seven healthy volunteers were randomly divided into 25, 75, 150, 200, 250, and 300 mg groups. For the multiple-ascending-dose study, sixteen healthy volunteers were randomly divided into 150 and 300 mg groups. In each group, volunteers were treated with Sal B or placebo randomly. Their safety was evaluated by a skin test, physical examination, vital sign, laboratory examination, 12-lead electrocardiogram, Holter, and clinical symptoms and signs. Blood samples were collected in 75, 150, and 300 mg single-ascending-dose study groups and 150 mg multiple-ascending-dose study groups to determine the concentration of salvianolic acid B.Results: In single-ascending-dose study groups, there were 41 adverse events in 24 cases (51.1%, 24/47). In multiple-ascending-dose study groups, there were 13 adverse events in eight cases (50.0%, 8/16). Sixty-six volunteers received the skin test, and three of them were excluded because of the positive result. Adverse events related to the treatment included increased alanine aminotransferase (4.0%), increased bilirubin (2.0%), increased creatinine kinase-MB (2.0%), increased brain natriuretic peptide (8.0%), increased urine N-acetyl-β-D-glucosidase (4.0%), dizziness (2.0%), and chest discomfort (2.0%). No serious adverse events occurred. No volunteers withdrew from the trial. Peak plasma concentration and the area under the plasma concentration–time curve of salvianolic acid B progressively increased in a dose-dependent manner in 75, 150, and 300 mg single-ascending-dose study groups. There was no accumulation after 5 consecutive days of administration of 150 mg salvianolic acid B.Conclusion: Salvianolic acid B injections administered up to 300 mg in a single dose and 250 mg for 5 consecutive days showed excellent safety and tolerability in healthy Chinese volunteers.Clinical Trial Registration:www.chinadrugtrials.org.cn, identifier CTR2019223

    The dynamics variation of soil moisture of shelterbelts along the Tarim Desert Highway

    We studied the variation of soil moisture as well as its regularity over the irrigation cycle at shelterbelts along the Tarim Desert Highway at different site types and different planting years. The results show that: (1) There is an obvious temporal variation of soil moisture within a typical irrigation period in shelterbelts along the Tarim Desert Highway, and the soil water storage varied linearly with the number of days after irrigation. Along the direction perpendicular to the soil top, the soil profile can be divided into four layers and each shows different dynamics of soil moisture variation, including the quickly changing layer (0-20 cm), the active layer (20-60 cm), the weakly layer (60-100 cm), and the regulated layer (under 100 cm). (2) Both the soil moisture and soil water content decreased gradually with the number of planting year, while the soil water deficit increased. It indicates that shelterbelts along the Tarim Desert Highway can retain the water accumulated from previous years. (3) The soil water storage of harden sand is the maximum among all types of sites. Specifically, it is about 1.58 times higher than that of longitudinal dune, 1.15 times higher than clay, and 1.43 times higher than flat sand. Its soil water deficit was over 900 mm

    Natural Coevolution of Tumor and Immunoenvironment in Glioblastoma.

    Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) wild-type glioblastoma (GBM) has a dismal prognosis. A better understanding of tumor evolution holds the key to developing more effective treatment. Here we study GBM\u27s natural evolutionary trajectory by using rare multifocal samples. We sequenced 61,062 single cells from eight multifocal IDH wild-type primary GBMs and defined a natural evolution signature (NES) of the tumor. We show that the NES significantly associates with the activation of transcription factors that regulate brain development, including MYBL2 and FOSL2. Hypoxia is involved in inducing NES transition potentially via activation of the HIF1A-FOSL2 axis. High-NES tumor cells could recruit and polarize bone marrow-derived macrophages through activation of the FOSL2-ANXA1-FPR1/3 axis. These polarized macrophages can efficiently suppress T-cell activity and accelerate NES transition in tumor cells. Moreover, the polarized macrophages could upregulate CCL2 to induce tumor cell migration. SIGNIFICANCE: GBM progression could be induced by hypoxia via the HIF1A-FOSL2 axis. Tumor-derived ANXA1 is associated with recruitment and polarization of bone marrow-derived macrophages to suppress the immunoenvironment. The polarized macrophages promote tumor cell NES transition and migration. This article is highlighted in the In This Issue feature, p. 2711
