The research presented here seeks to show as a peasant nursery located in Odilandia district, Santa Rita in the Paraíba brasilian state, works the theme of cultural diversity and identity in early childhood education field, supported by foundations of education in the field and cultural identity. history of childhood in Brazil and the text of current legislation. The research proposes: observe if the stimulus to cultural development; identify the subject of the presence of cultural identity in early childhood education in the documents of the educational institution; analyze the relationship between the institution documents and the practice in the classroom, from questionnaires aimed at management and day care teachers, observations made during eight visits to the field of research between April and July of 2015 ending ending with that material collected analysis with the General Curriculum Guidelines for Basic Education (DCGEB), the National Quality Parameters for Early Childhood Education (PNQEI) and the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education (DCNEI) and with the theoretical authors who work with theme. As a result, we believe that there is a concern of the teaching staff of the institution located in Odilândia, Santa Rita / PB, to discuss the issue of cultural diversity and identity in the classroom. From the analysis, we understand that there are also structural needs on the institution and training issues in child education in the field. By now, here we remember also the honor of all those who struggle to be offering children a quality early childhood education.

Energy-lowering and constant-energy spin flips : emergence of the percolating cluster in the kinetic Ising model

After a sudden quench from the disordered high-temperature T0 → ∞ phase to a final temperature well below the critical point TF Tc, the nonconserved order parameter dynamics of the two-dimensional ferromagnetic Ising model on a square lattice initially approaches the critical percolation state before entering the coarsening regime. This approach involves two timescales associated with the first appearance (at time tp1 > 0) and stabilization (at time tp > tp1 ) of a giant percolation cluster, as previously reported. However, the microscopic mechanisms that control such timescales are not yet fully understood. In this paper, to study their role on each time regime after the quench (TF = 0), we distinguish between spin flips that decrease the total energy of the system from those that keep it constant, the latter being parametrized by the probability p. We show that observables such as the cluster size heterogeneity H(t, p) and the typical domain size (t, p) have no dependence on p in the first time regime up to tp1 . Furthermore, when energy-decreasing flips are forbidden while allowing constant-energy flips, the kinetics is essentially frozen after the quench and there is no percolation event whatsoever. Taken together, these results indicate that the emergence of the first percolating cluster at tp1 is completely driven by energy decreasing flips. However, the time for stabilizing a percolating cluster is controlled by the acceptance probability of constant-energy flips: tp(p) ∼ p−1 for p 1 (at p = 0, the dynamics gets stuck in a metastable state). These flips are also the relevant ones in the later coarsening regime where dynamical scaling takes place. Because the phenomenology on the approach to the percolation point seems to be shared by many 2D systems with a nonconserved order parameter dynamics (and certain cases of conserved ones as well), our results may suggest a simple and eff Because the phenomenology on the approach to the percolation point seems to be shared by many 2D systems with a nonconserved order parameter dynamics (and certain cases of conserved ones as well), our results may suggest a simple and effective way to set, through the dynamics itself, tp1 and tp in such systems

EDUCAÇÃO ANTIRRACISTA E RESISTÊNCIA: : o cabelo como posicionamento político

    Get PDF

The in vitro bioactivity, degradation, and cytotoxicity of polymer-derived wollastonite-diopside glass-ceramics

Ca-Mg silicates are receiving a growing interest in the field of bioceramics. In a previous study, wollastonite-diopside (WD) glass-ceramics were successfully prepared by a new processing route, consisting of the heat treatment of a silicone resin embedding reactive oxide particles and a Ca/Mg-rich glass. The in vitro degradation, bioactivity, and cell response of these new WD glass-ceramics, fired at 900\u20131100 \ub0C for 1 h, as a function of the Ca/Mg-rich glass content, are the aim of this investigation The results showed that WD glass-ceramics from formulations comprising different glass contents (70\u2013100% at 900 \ub0C, 30% at 1100 \ub0C) exhibit the formation of an apatite-like layer on their surface after immersion in SBF for seven days, thus confirming their surface bioactivity. The XRD results showed that these samples crystallized, mainly forming wollastonite (CaSiO3) and diopside (CaMgSi2O6), but combeite (Na2Ca2Si3O9) crystalline phase was also detected. Besides in vitro bioactivity, cytotoxicity and osteoblast adhesion and proliferation tests were applied after all characterizations, and the formulation comprising 70% glass was demonstrated to be promising for further in vivo studies

Crop response to gypsum application to subtropical soils under no-till in Brazil : a systematic review

The use of gypsum to improve the root environment in tropical soils in the southeastern and central-western regions of Brazil is a widespread practice with well-established recommendation criteria. However, only recently gypsum began to be used on subtropical soils in South of Brazil, so available knowledge of its effect on crop yield is incipient and mainly for soils under no-till (NT) systems. Avaiable studies span a wide range of responses, from a substantial increase to a slight reduction in crop yield. Also, the specific conditions leading to a favorable effect of gypsum application on crop yield are yet to be accurately identified. The primary objectives of this study were to examine previously reported results to assess the likelihood of a crop response to gypsum and to develop useful recommendation criteria for gypsum application to subtropical soils under NT in Brazil. For this purpose, we examined the results of a total of 73 growing seasons, reported in 20 different scientific publications that assessed grain yield as a function of gypsum rates. Four different scenarios were examined, by the occurrence or not of high subsurface acidity (viz., Al saturation >20 % and/or exchangeable Ca 3 cmolc dm-3) failed to increase crop yield, irrespective of the soil water status. Under these conditions, high gypsum rates (6-15 Mg ha-1) may even reduce grain yield, possibly by inducing K and Mg deficiency. On the other hand, applying gypsum to soils with high subsurface acidity increased yield by 16 % in corn (87 % of cases) and by 19 % in winter cereals (83 % of cases), whether or not the soil was water-deficient. By contrast, soybean yield was only increased by gypsum applied in the simultaneous presence of high soil subsurface acidity and water deficiency (average increase 27 %, 100 % of cases)

Lack of association of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase polymorphisms with interferon-alpha-related depression in hepatitis C

Background: Major depression is a frequent adverse effect of interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) therapy. Although the indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) enzyme seems to be involved in the pathophysiology of IFN-alpha-induced depression, no pharmacogenetic study has investigated Whether variation in the IDO gene modifies vulnerability to this adverse effect. Methods: A cross-sectional study assessing 277 hepatitis C patients recruited in two specialized outpatient clinics of Brazil. They were interviewed with the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI) approximately 1 month after the end of IFN-alpha plus ribavirin therapy. Genomic DNA of individuals was extracted from venous blood. Three IDO single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were genotyped (rs3824259; rs10089084 and rs35099072).Results: MINI indicated that 21.3% of the sample met criteria for a major depressive episode during the course of IFN-alpha therapy. No association with the diagnosis of a major depressive episode during the course of IFN-alpha therapy was observed genotype or allele-wise (p > 0.05). Current major depression and/or current anxiety disorder was significantly associated with IFN-alpha-related depression (p 0.05).Conclusions: Our results suggest no influence of the variants in the IDO gene and the diagnosis of interferon-alpha-related depression in the Brazilian population. Interferon-alpha-related depression may impose persistent psychopathology on at least 15% of the depressed patients even 2 years after antiviral therapy termination. the cross-sectional design is a limitation of our study, predisposing memory bias. Prospective pharmacogenetic studies are warranted to continue investigation of the impact of IDO polymorphisms on the development of IFN-alpha-induced depression. (C) 2011 Elsevier Inc. Get PDF
