The number of samples used is 80 respondents, with purposive sampling data collection techniques. Research methods: The method of collecting primary data for service quality variables uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis technique used is Servqual, Importance Performance Analysis and Customer Satisfaction Index. Findings: The results of this study indicate that there is a negative, positive and neutral gap between guest perceptions and expectations. Customers are satisfied with the services provided because the value of the positive gap is more than the negative. Implications: The results of the study showed that most of the hotel guests were satisfied with the service performance provided by Klapa Resort

Congress Party Dominance In Indian Politics

    Get PDF
An analysis of the functioning of the Indian party system indicates that the political process has been deinstitutionalized. The process of deinstitutionalization was initiated in the 1970s. Therefore, the Indian Party system is at crossroads. Here we assume that the functioning of the party system is primarily responsible for the deinstitutionalization of the political process in India. Based on this analysis, suggestions can be made to reform the Indian party system. The four major left political parties – CPI (M), CPI, RSP, and Forward Bloc obtained 61 seats in the 2004 general elections. This electoral success made it more powerful than ever before in national Politics.1 Left political parties extended outside support to the Congress-led UPA government. Congress Party had to be dependent on the left party's support for the survival of the government. This situation made Congress party politically vulnerable and communist parties more assertive in dictating terms to the coalition in running the government. Replacement of the existing constitution is not the solution. Political parties are responsible for the present state of affairs in Indian politics. Political and electoral reforms can substantially help to solve the problems of the Indian polity. It is very pertinent to identify political and electoral reforms instead of debating the constitution. In this context, reforming the political parties should get a central place. Adoption of these reforms will improve the performance of the institutions of the parliamentary democracy and federal system

Occurrence and extracellular enzyme activities of a thermotalerent actinomycetes isolated from thermal spring of compost pit area, hair, feathers dumping places and municipal wastes of Gulbarga and Bellary (Northern part of Karnataka) and tested their degradability against hair and feather. A total of 67 actinomycetes were isolated, out of these 57 actinomycetes screened exhibited amylase, protease, chitinase, cellulase and keratinase activity determined in the petriplate using on starch casein agar (SCA) and nutrient agar media (NA). Out of 57 actinomycetes, 50 isolates showed amylase, 54 protease, 50 chitenase, 52 cellulase and 41 isolates showed keratinase activities respectively. The Maximum keratinase activity shows VSAC-12, this study shows that the isolates were found to be capable using keratin substrates as sole source of carbon and energy for further investigation

Heavy Metal Accumulation in Pyxine cocoes (Sw.) Nyl. Transplanted at Kolkata City, West Bengal, India

    Get PDF
A foliose lichen Pyxine cocoes (Sw.) Nyl., was transplanted at ten biomonitoring sites in Kolkata city of West Bengal for 30 days. Concentration of heavy metals Zn, Cu, Cd, Ni, Fe and Pb accumulated in lichen were determined. The result indicates an enhanced concentration of most of the metals in the transplanted samples than the control. Two heavy metals Cd and Pb were not detected in the samples, while Cr accumulated in lower (3.3±0.3 to 15.9±0.2 μg g-1) and Fe in higher concentrations (2958.2±0.9 to 4690.4±0.7 μg g-1). The concentration of Zn ranged from 47.1±0.6 to 114.0±0.5 μg g-1, Cu 3.4±0.3 to 38.7±0.6 μg g-1 and Ni 31.2±0.3 to 81.3±0.8 μg g-1. The lichen transplanted in the inner zone of the city with congested roads and heavy vehicular movements accumulated comparatively higher levels of most of the metals than at the sites situated in outer zone of the city. According to the concentration of heavy metals accumulated in lichen, it can be concluded that Jadabpur and Esplanade area are highly polluted, while BBD Bagh and Dum Dum Airport areas are less polluted

This research describes the optimization of the Samsat digital program which has been tested in seven provinces in Indonesia, one of which is in the Province of Bali, Badung Regency. Digital Samsat hereinafter referred to as e-Samsat (Samsat electronics). The launch of the Samsat digital program is aimed at increasing the ease of paying motor vehicle tax for taxpayers. The implementation of the Samsat digital program is a form of information technology innovation in government programs in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. The application of this program is also to realize e-government and good governance. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of digital Samsat in the community and to determine the factors that influence the Samsat digital program. This research is a qualitative study conducted at the office of UPT Bapenda in Badung Regency (Samsat Office, Mengwi). The sampling technique for selecting informants in this study used a purposive sampling method. The instrument used in this study was using structured interviews, direct observation at the research location, and using supporting documents in the form of books and previous research about the same field study with this research

Background: The objective of present study was to assess the drug utilization pattern among the geriatric patients. Methods: Totally, 150 prescriptions of patients’ ≥65 years admitted in the medicine inpatient department of MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital, Hoskote were noted from September 2013 to March 2014 and demographic profile, drug utilization pattern, commonly used drugs as per anatomical therapeutic chemical classification (ATC) and WHO core indicators were assessed after taking informed consent from the patients. Results: Out of 150 patients, average age of geriatric patients was 66.83 years with female preponderance (59%). Maximum number of patients were having respiratory disorders (66.67%) followed by diabetes mellitus (35.3%), and cardiovascular diseases (32.67%). 76% patients had co-morbid diseases like diabetes mellitus (n=53), hypertension (n=49), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (n=41). A total of 849 drug formulations, containing 1050 active ingredients, were prescribed with average number of 7 (1050/150) drugs per prescription. Only 70 formulations were prescribed by their generic names, which is less than that prescribed by their brand names 779 and total of 146 (17.19%) drugs were prescribed as fixed dose combinations. Only 45.47% drugs were according to WHO Essential Medicines List. Drugs acting on respiratory system (n=189) were the most commonly used drugs in our study followed by drugs acting on the gastrointestinal system (n=130), antimicrobials (n=113), cardiovascular system (n=112), endocrine (n=83), and nutritional supplements (n=72). Polypharmacy was prevalent in 62% and about 22.67% of patients received <5 drugs. Pantoprazole was most frequently prescribed drug followed by aspirin 75 mg, adrenergic, and anticholinergic bronchodilators. Conclusion: Thus, irrational prescribing and polypharmacy were prevalent among elderly. Drug utilization data can help in assessing the quality of care given to the geriatric patients and promote rational use of medicines

Congruences for (2, 3)-regular partition with designated summands

    Get PDF
Let PD2,3(n)PD_{2, 3}(n) count the number of partitions of nn with designated summands in which parts are not multiples of 22 or 33. In this work, we establish congruences modulo powers of 2 and 3 for PD2,3(n)PD_{2, 3}(n). For example, for each \quad n≥0n\ge0 and α≥0\alpha\geq0 \quad PD2,3(6⋅4α+2n+5⋅4α+2)≡0(mod24)PD_{2, 3}(6\cdot4^{\alpha+2}n+5\cdot4^{\alpha+2})\equiv 0 \pmod{2^4} and $PD_{2, 3}(4\cdot3^{\alpha+3}n+10\cdot3^{\alpha+2})\equiv 0 \pmod{3}.
