The Democratization of Technical Education from the Point of View of the Affective Dimension of Mathematics Learning: an Outset Reflection
The article offers a reflection stemming from the elaboration of a doctoral research project, which involves the students enrolled in the first year of the Integrated Technical Secondary Education[1], at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Mato Grosso (IFMT). Aiming to illustrate the main research study we present a section of a qualitative pilot study carried out in the mathematics subject. The broader study involves students at risk of failure in mathematics and seeks to bring the students’ voice into the discussion of their failure in the discipline. The main purpose of the study is to understand how first-year students experience situations of failure and difficulty in mathematics that put them at risk of dropout and/or retention. It is expected to contribute to the improvement of mathematics learning, to a better understanding of students’ evasion and retention, and to the design of policies and actions that may improve the quality of technical education and promote its democratization.
La danza escolar: Orientaciones didácticas basadas en la inteligencia emocional en estudiantes del grado noveno de la Institución Educativa Municipal Santiago Pérez de Zipaquirá
145 Páginas.La investigación “Danza escolar: Orientaciones didácticas basadas en la inteligencia emocional, en estudiantes de grado noveno de la Institución Educativa Municipal Santiago Pérez de Zipaquirá” realizada en el marco de la maestría en pedagogía en la Universidad de La Sabana, evidencia la importancia que tiene la danza escolar como un elemento constitutivo en el desarrollo integral de los educandos. Se concibe la danza escolar como un área educativa que optimiza la interacción interpersonal e intrapersonal del individuo, coadyuvando en la generación de: autocontrol, motivación, empatía, autoconocimiento y habilidades sociales, lo cual se puede sintetizar en la estimulación y desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional, a través de la vivencia corporal. Esta investigación se encamina a fortalecer los elementos anteriormente mencionados a través del diseño y aplicación de propuestas didácticas, donde los educandos puedan canalizar la energía positiva y negativa generada por las realidades sociales. Teniendo en cuenta que cada persona es un universo aparte con diferentes fortalezas y habilidades que deben tener cabida en la escuela, se hace conveniente fundamentar esta investigación teóricamente desde las inteligencias Múltiples de Howard Gardner y los postulados de Daniel Goleman, sobre la inteligencia emocional. Es una investigación cualitativa con un alcance descriptivo- e interpretativo, en el cual se utiliza un diseño de investigación acción- reflexión, aplicado a los escolares de grado noveno del colegio Santiago Pérez de Zipaquirá.
Estrés percibido y crecimiento postraumático en pacientes post COVID- 19 de Lima Metropolitana
El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre el Estrés Percibido y el
Crecimiento Postraumático en pacientes post COVID-19 de Lima Metropolitana. El presente
estudio es de tipo no experimental, transversal y se usó un diseño descriptivo-correlacional y
comparativo. La muestra estuvo comprendida por 245 personas entre hombres y mujeres de 18
a 70 años que padecieron de COVID-19, a quienes se evaluó con la Escala Global de Estrés
adaptada al Perú EPGE-13 de Guzmán y Reyes (2018) y el Inventario de Crecimiento
Postraumático (ICPT) de Tedeschi y Calhoun (1996). Se halló que un 27.3% de los sujetos
mostró un nivel alto de estrés negativo y solo 26.1% tuvo niveles de Crecimiento Postraumático
promedio alto. Asimismo, existe correlación estadísticamente significativa y positiva entre el
factor Estrés Negativo o distrés y el factor Relación con los Otros. Se concluyó que, a mayores
niveles de Estrés Negativo, mayor crecimiento en el factor Relación con los Otros. Además,
con respecto al Estrés Percibido, se encontró que las mujeres, los sujetos de 18 a 29 años, los
sujetos con grados de instrucción universitaria y los solteros presentaron un mayor Estrés que
el resto de la muestra. Por último, con respecto al Crecimiento Postraumático se halló que las
mujeres, los sujetos de 40 años a más, los casados y los convivientes presentaron mayores
cambios en el Crecimiento Postraumático
A trajetória de desenvolvimento do professor na utilização de tecnologias nas aulas de matemática em um contexto de formação continuada
O presente trabalho é embasado em estudos sobre formação continuada de professores para a utilização das tecnologias. A investigação desenvolveu-se com duas professoras integrantes de um curso de formação continuada para a utilização de tablets nas aulas de Matemática. A proposta do curso, de uma formação ancorada na prática, incluiu não apenas as sessões presenciais, mas também um período considerável de integração do conhecimento teórico à prática de sala de aula das duas professoras. Essa ação apoiou-se no mentoring, apresentado por Amado (2007) como uma relação interpessoal, baseada na confiança e no apoio, que se desenvolveu por meio do acompanhamento da formadora/pesquisadora, tanto nas sessões do curso, quanto no planejamento e nas aulas em que as professoras utilizaram as tecnologias com os seus alunos. A sequência didática da formação embasou-se no modelo TPACK (Conhecimento Tecnológico e Pedagógico do Conteúdo), apresentado por Koehler e Mishra (2006, 2007, 2009) que consideram fundamental aos professores o desenvolvimento desse conhecimento para que possam integrar de modo eficiente as tecnologias nas suas aulas. Consistiu em uma tentativa de formação mais abrangente, que fosse além da instrução técnica e envolvesse o desenvolvimento individual, profissional e institucional da carreira docente. A pesquisa teve como objetivo verificar a trajetória de desenvolvimento das duas professoras na utilização das tecnologias e se desenvolveu por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa caracterizada como um estudo de caso. Com essa opção de pesquisa, pretendeu-se conhecer, de forma profunda e tão completa quanto possível, a trajetória de desenvolvimento das duas professoras no uso das tecnologias. Procurou-se, mediante a análise dos dois casos particulares, captar a densidade e a singularidade dos diferentes percursos, as situações específicas ocorridas durante a formação, que se supõem únicas em muitos aspectos. A opção metodológica e o objetivo da pesquisa levaram a estabelecer a coleta de dados por meio da observação participante, de entrevistas semiestruturadas, gravações e diário de bordo, que permitiram à pesquisadora estudar os fatos em seu ambiente natural. Os resultados apontaram que a proposta contribuiu no desenvolvimento profissional das duas professoras e que a estratégia de mentoring, ainda que produzindo reflexos diferenciados na trajetória de desenvolvimento de cada uma das professoras e no avanço do seu conhecimento tecnológico e pedagógico do conteúdo, foi decisiva para o progresso alcançado.The present work is grounded in studies about continuing education for teachers on the use of technologies. The research study was developed with two teachers participants of a continuing education course for the use of tablets in Mathematics classes. The purpose of the course, a formation anchored on practice, included not only the attendance sessions, but also a considerable period of integration between the theoretical knowledge and the classroom practice of the teachers. This action was supported on mentoring, presented by Amado (2007) as an interpersonal relationship, based on trust and support, that was developed through the monitoring of the trainer/researcher, both in the sessions of the course and in the planning and classes where the teachers used the technology with their students. The didactic sequence of the formation was based on the TPACK framework (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge), presented by Koehler and Mishra (2006, 2007, 2009), who consider essential to teachers the development of this kind of knowledge so that they can integrate efficiently the technologies in their classrooms. It consisted of an attempt to more broad formation, going beyond the technical instruction and involving the individual, professional and institutional development of the teacher career. The research aimed to determine the developmental trajectory of the two teachers in the use of technologies and evolved through a qualitative approach characterized as a case study. With this search option, it was intended to know, as deeply and thoroughly as possible, the developmental trajectories of the two teachers in the use of technologies. Through the analysis of two particular cases, the study sought to capture the density and the uniqueness of different trajectories and the specific situations occurred during the formation, which are supposed unique in many ways. The methodological option and the aim of the research led to establish the data collection through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, recordings and logbook, which allowed the researcher to study the facts in their natural environment. The results showed that the proposal contributed to the professional development of both teachers and that the mentoring strategy, although producing different effects on the development trajectory of each of the teachers and on the advancing of their technological knowledge, was decisive for the progress achieved
A new species of the problematic organism Webbyites from the Early Ordovician Fezouata Biota of Morocco
The problematic colonial organism Webbyites has previously been considered to be a hydroid (phylum Cnidaria). In this paper, we describe a new species, Webbyites felix sp. nov., from the Early Ordovician Fezouata Konservat-Lagerstätte of Morocco. One specimen preserves some soft-tissue zooid remains. The presence of a stolon system in the new species and the type species indicates that Webbyites is a benthic graptolite. Webbyites lacks bithecae; thus, it is not a dendroid graptolite

Este trabajo tiene por finalidad estudiar la relación que existe entre la Auditoria
tributaria y las Obligaciones tributarias de la empresa de transportes Edmisur S.R.L.
Cerro Colorado-Arequipa, 2021.
Es necesario que la empresa contrate un auditor independiente una vez al año y poder
realizar una auditoría tributaria interna y así encontrar falencias para poder
subsanarlos en su momento antes que SUNAT mande esquelas. Las auditorías
determinan el panorama real de la situación financiera para poder tomar mejores
decisiones en cuanto a inversiones. Otros objetivos de la auditoria es revisar si se
cumple con las obligaciones tributarias que tiene la empresa.
La metodología aplicada es de tipo básica, con un diseño no experimental-transversal,
con enfoque cualitativo. La población está constituida por 30 personas del área
administrativa de la empresa, la técnica empleada es encuesta que se basa en 20
preguntas relacionadas a las variables en estudio, el instrumento fue validado por tres
expertos, con respecto a la confiabilidad de instrumento y el procesamiento de los
resultados se usó el SPSS v.25.
Finalmente llegamos a la conclusión que si existe relación entre la Auditoria tributaria
y las obligaciones tributarias de la empresa de transportes Edmisur S.R.L. Cerro

Accountability and Transparency of Entrepreneurial Journalism: Unresolved ethical issues in crowdfunded journalism projects
Crowdfunding is a new business model in which journalists rely—and depend—on (micro-) payments by a large number of supporters to finance their reporting. In this form of entrepreneurial journalism the roles of publisher, fundraiser and journalist often overlap. This raises questions about conflicts of interest, accountability and transparency. The article presents the results of selected case studies in four different European countries—Germany (Krautreporter), Italy (Occhidellaguerra), the United Kingdom (Contributoria) and the Netherlands (De Correspondent)—as well as one US example (Kickstarter). The study used a two-step methodological approach: first a content analysis of the websites and the Twitter accounts with regard to practices of media accountability, transparency and user participation was undertaken. The aim was to investigate how far ethical challenges in crowdfunded entrepreneurial journalism are accounted for. Second, we present findings from semi-structured interviews with journalists from each crowdfunding. The study provides evidence about the ethical issues in this area, particularly in relation to production transparency and responsiveness. The study also shows that in some cases of crowdfunding (platforms), accountability is outsourced and implemented only through the audience participation
Anemia and undernutrition in intestinally parasitized schoolchildren from Gakenke district, Northern Province of Rwanda
Background: Rwanda is a sub-Saharan country, where intestinal parasite infections, anemia and undernutrition coexist. The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between intestinal parasite infections and undernutrition/anemia to clarify the priorities of intervention in the rural area of Gakenke district in the Northern Province of Rwanda.
Materials and methods: A total of 674 students from Nemba I School, participated in a cross-sectional study, in which their parasitological and nutritional status were analysed. Statistical analysis was performed by χ2 test, univariate analysis and Odds ratios (OR).
Results: A total of 95.3% of children presented intestinal parasitism, most of whom (94.5%) infected by protozoa and 36.1% infected by soil-transmitted helminths (STH), with Trichuris trichiura (27.3%) being the most prevalent. Multiple infections were found to be high (83.8%), with protozoa and STH co-infections in 30.6%. STH infections were mainly of low/moderate intensity. Neither infection nor STH infection of any intensity profile, was significantly related to anemia. In addition, STH infection, regardless of the intensity profile, was not associated with stunting, underweight or thinness. There was no difference between genders nor among ages in odds of anemia and nutritional status in STH-infected schoolchildren.
Conclusion: Multiparasitism remains high among Rwandan schoolchildren and is likely to cause nutritional problems. This work emphasizes the importance of keeping up health programs to reduce the prevalence of infection
Hookworm-like eggs in children’s faecal samples from a rural area of Rwanda
Background: Hookworm eggs identification and quantification is usually carried out by Kato-Katz method. However various structures present in the smear may be confused with eggs of such parasites.Objective: To document the presence of structures in Kato-Katz slides that could initially be misinterpreted as hookworm eggs.Method: 497 faecal samples were analysed by Kato-Katz technique, diphasic concentration technique, agar-plate coprocultive and larvae obtained were analysed by PCR and characterized by sequencing.Result: Hookworm-like eggs were found in 159 (32%) of the samples by Kato Katz, finally identified as Caenorhabditis elegans by PCR technique.Conclusion: The diagnosis of human hookworm eggs, only by the use of Kato Katz technique can lead to false positives because of similarities with eggs of other free-living worms, from wet soils like those of Rwanda that could contaminate stool samples.Keywords: Hookworm eggs, Kato-Katz method, misclassification, Rwand
Gestión empresarial en tres organizaciones socio empresariales de pequeños productores de banano orgánico y de comercio justo del valle del Chira, provincia de Sullana, Región Piura
El problema planteado en la presente investigación, ha sido identificado de nuestra
experiencia de trabajo con familias rurales organizadas en asociaciones de
productores de banano orgánico y de Comercio Justo, las cuales han alcanzado
niveles exitosos en su desarrollo, pero que encuentran cuellos de botella en su
proceso de fortalecimiento y sostenibilidad debido, entre otros aspectos, a la forma
como implementan sus diferentes procesos de gestión, problema que podría afectar su
consolidación si no es abordado oportunamente.
Consideramos que debido a que son organizaciones con fines sociales, que realizan
una actividad empresarial como medio para alcanzarlos, es pertinente investigar ¿cuál
es la dinámica de la gestión empresarial en estas tres organizaciones? Para ello ha
sido necesario diseñar herramientas que nos permitan analizar y comprender esta
dinámica; para así contribuir con la proposición de estrategias que coadyuven al
fortalecimiento de las organizaciones y con ello a su sostenibilidad como empresas
sociales, es decir, como organismos que realizan una actividad empresarial pero cuyo
fin principal es el bienestar social de sus miembros.Tesi
