A lo largo de la última década, el gobierno de la República de Corea implementó políticas de promoción cultural hacia América Latina teniendo a Argentina como uno de los principales destinos. La expansión nacional, regional y mundial del arte y la cultura de Corea es conocida con el nombre de Hallyu, siendo su significado en español: ‘Oleada de Cultura Coreana’. Este movimiento cultural fue constituyéndose como fenómeno que refiere a la popularidad en aumento de películas, dramas y música pop coreana. El Hallyu se tornó la vía más astuta y efectiva que Corea encontró para efectuar su ingreso y penetración cultural en el mundo asiático y, un poco más tarde, en el mundo occidental. Semântica da imagem artística da lua na poesia de K. Balmont

The article dwells upon the analysis of the image of the moon in K. Balmont’s works in poetic and functioning aspects. The work aims to reveal the features of the poetic embodiment and the symbolic content of the image of the moon in K. Balmont’s works. It considers the artistic and semantic realization of the image under study, describes the features of the objectification of its symbolic and associative attributes. Identification of the leading motives associated with the image of the moon, helps to establish its individual semantic scope K. Balmont’s individual style.In course of the study, the significance of the image of the moon in the poet’s artistic view of the world is being proved. The moon is found as one of the central system-forming elements of Balmont’s lyric poetry, filled with rich philosophical and symbolic content (the basic element of the cosmogonic worldbuilding, which expresses the involvement of the world in the supernal reality and correlates with the most important attributes of metaphysics (eternity, infinity, silence, universal beauty, etc.). K. Balmont’s texts are imbued with pantheistic motives of worshiping this astral image associated with the earthly and noumenal worlds. The image of heavenly body in K. Balmont's lyrics have an intrinsic duality, emphasizing the duality of the picture of the world he creates. With its deep mythopoetic meaning, the image of the moon in Balmont’s works is the result of artistic synthesis of various archaic representations refracted through the prism of the author's worldview, and plays a critical part in the philosophical and pantheistic concept of the world created by the poet. Research methods: contextual analysis of literary text, literary interpretation, continuou s sampling, descriptive analysis.El artículo se detiene en el análisis de la imagen de la luna en las obras de K. Balmont en aspectos poéticos y funcionales. El trabajo pretende revelar las características de la encarnación poética y el contenido simbólico de la imagen de la luna en las obras de K. Balmont. Considera la realización artística y semántica de la imagen en estudio, describe las características de la objetivación de sus atributos simbólicos y asociativos. La identificación de los principales motivos asociados con la imagen de la luna ayuda a establecer su alcance semántico individual, el estilo individual de K. Balmont.En el transcurso del estudio, se demuestra la importancia de la imagen de la luna en la visión artística del mundo del poeta. La luna se encuentra como uno de los elementos centrales que forman el sistema de la poesía lírica de Balmont, llena de rico contenido filosófico y simbólico (el elemento básico de la construcción cosmogónica del mundo, que expresa la participación del mundo en la realidad excelsa y se correlaciona con la mayoría atributos importantes de la metafísica (eternidad, infinito, silencio, belleza universal, etc.) Los textos de K. Balmont están imbuidos de motivos panteístas para adorar a esta imagen astral asociada con los mundos terrenal y nouménico. La imagen del cuerpo celestial en las letras de K. Balmont tienen una dualidad intrínseca, enfatizando la dualidad de la imagen del mundo que él crea. Con su profundo significado mitopoético, la imagen de la luna en las obras de Balmont es el resultado de la síntesis artística de varias representaciones arcaicas refractadas a través del prisma de la cosmovisión del autor. y juega un papel crítico en el concepto filosófico y panteísta del mundo creado por el poeta. Utilization of SDRRM Workshop Module to Increase the Preparedness Level of Key Stage-2 Learners in Earthquake Hazard Precautions

Purpose This study investigated the effectivity of the Workshop Module in increasing the preparedness level of KS-2 pupils in disaster risk reduction and management in terms of earthquake hazard precautions.Design/ Methodology/ Approach The study used quasi-experimental method of research. Purposively selected KS-2 student leaders from Bula Elementary School. The data was gathered using a self-made questionnaire. To treat the data, weighted mean and t-test were used.Findings The pupils’ mean score was 2.14 (Less Prepared) in the pre-test and 3.50 (Highly Prepared) in the post test. The increase of 1.36 on the pupils’ mean score show that there is a certain improvement on the level of preparedness. The computed t-value (12.88) was also compared to the p-value (0.0001), a significant difference between the pre- and post-tests of the respondents.Research Limitations/Implications It was limited on the KS-2 pupils with leadership experiences and their level of preparedness in terms of earthquake hazard precautions before and after the exposure to module. It implies that the module was beneficial in enhancing the preparedness level of the pupils in terms of earthquake hazard precautions.Originality/ Value The habit of using the SDRRM workshop module is beneficial for enhancing students' preparedness for disaster risk reduction and management through increasing the pupils’ preparedness in terms of earthquake hazard precautions

La tormenta del referéndum del Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Estados Unidos y CAFTA-DR hasta hace poco se empieza a calmar, pero desde ya el siguiente gigante en el mundo del comercio global ya está tocando a la puerta de América Central. La Unión Europea y Centroamérica, como región, han iniciado en octubre de 2007 las negociaciones para firmar un Acuerdo de Asociación (AdA). Este AdA probablemente seguirá los pasos de otros acuerdos, tales como los de la UE y Chile, y la UE y México. Pero, ¿cómo encaja este AdA con la estrategia de comercio de la UE?, y ¿cómo sus condicionalidades se comparan con las de otros acuerdos dentro de las estructuras que la UE tiene establecidas, y que le dan a los países en desarrollo acceso a sus mercados? Este artículo se propone realizar un breve análisis del contexto en el cual el AdA es negociado, y lo compara con otras estructuras por medio de las cuales los países en desarrollo obtienen acceso al mercado de la UE, sobresaliendo los Acuerdos de Asociación Económica (EPAs) que los países en desarrollo de África, el Caribe y el Pacífico están negociando con la UE, y el Sistema Generalizado de Preferencia (SGP), el cual ha gobernado hasta ahora las relaciones comerciales entre el Istmo y la UE

Karl Rahner es uno de los mejores teólogos del siglo XX, tal vez el mejor. Es muy conocido por sus obras de teología dogmática, especialmente en Teología Fundamental. En este artículo se recuerda la doctrina social de Karl Rahner, partiendo de los conceptos clave de su pensamiento en esta materia: la concepción de Iglesia, de la dignidad humana, de la libertad, de la autoridad y de las relaciones Iglesia-mundo. Se destaca el papel del laico y la importancia de la decisión moral en el campo social de la doctrina cristiana. El artículo busca escuchar de nuevo la doctrina de Karl Rahner, que es una riqueza que la Iglesia no puede dejar de lado.Karl Rahner is one of the best theologians of the twentieth century, maybe the best. Communication, Literacy and Citizenship: a conceptual orientation in a portuguese children’s television thematic channel, K SIC

This paper highlights the consequential nature of communication, literacy and citizenship and the meta-pattern that connects everything together – the ecology of the human spirit. It argues that, just like human communication, literacy is consequential in nature for humankind. Through each of our different worlds of experience and processes of communication, we manifest both of these human conditions and co-construct everyday practices that engender a plurality of effects. Literacy is a concept common to all humankind. Thus, it forms an indivisible whole with communication. This viewpoint is at odds with that which confines literacy to being understood as the acquisition of certain competences. It is arguable that, just like communication, the human condition of literacy needs to be both encouraged and developed. We suggest here that the idea of borders in literacy should be questioned. The work of Gregory Bateson on the ecology of the human spirit – an imminent characteristic of the human species that is based on the physiological structure of the living being and is in permanent interaction and reconnection with both the biosphere and our ways of seeing the world – supports the viewpoint put forward here. From the communication mediatised by a children’s television channel, from SIC K and from the results of studies carried out into children’s use of television we draw the examples that shall illustrate the theoretical approach taken here. They also underpin two premises of an ongoing project. Firstly, television is part of the solution in that it encourages and develops communication-literacy- citizenship-education-connectivity. Secondly, human rights form a shared platform from which to orient the use of Technologies and define connection strategies for the active participation of the children
