Visual management of audiovisual projects: improving the creative process of production design

The audiovisual project involves countless different professionals in actions that need to be coordinated. For these actions to be more fluid, visual project management can be used. This article aims to improve the scheme proposed by Krupahtz (2018) using visual project management. For this purpose, the areas of production design and visual project management were contextualized to make clear the interaction between them. As a methodological approach, it was used the Lemming method, by Teixeira (2018). As the result, there is the elaboration process of a visual model according to the method and it is described the creation of a visual panel that contemplates the pre-production phase, with a focus on production design. Avaliaçao histopatológica das dermatopatias de pequenos animais diagnosticadas entre janeiro de 1988 a abril de 2001 em Curitiba - Paraná

Resumo: Com o objetivo de determinar a freqüência, descrever e classificar histopatologicamente as dermatopatias diagnosticadas em pequenos animais, foram avaliadas 886 amostras de pele, sendo 831 de cães e 55 de gatos, enviadas por clínicos veterinários da região de Curitiba - PR para diagnóstico histopatológico durante o período de janeiro de 1998 a abril de 2001. As neoplasias foram as doenças mais freqüentemente diagnosticadas atingindo 52,6% dos diagnósticos em cães e 63,7% em gatos. Em cães, as neoplasias de pele mais freqüentemente diagnosticadas foram as de origem epitelial (40,3%), seguidas das neoplasias de células redondas (30,9%) e das de origem mesenquimal (28,8%). Em gatos, as neoplasias de pele mais freqüentes foram as de origem epitelial (62,9%), seguidas das de origem mesenquimal (25,7%) e das de células redondas (11,4%). Em pequenos animais, as dermatopatias inflamatórias correspondem à segunda doença de pele mais diagnosticada através do exame histopatológico, atingindo 36,6% dos diagnósticos em cães e 30,9% dos diagnósticos em gatos. As dermatites foram classificadas de acordo com o padrão histopatológico em perivascular, de interface, nodular e/ou difusa, intraepidermal vesicular e/ou pustular, subepidermal vesicular e foliculite, furunculose e/ou adenite sebácea. Apesar da distribuição e classificação das dermatopatias inflamatórias ser bastante heterogênea, houve predomínio do diagnóstico histopatológico das dermatites em padrão perivascular tanto em cães (33,8%) quanto em gatos (47,0%). Ainda nas dermatopatias inflamatórias, em cães, o grupo da foliculite, furunculose e/ou adenite sebácea, corresponde ao segundo padrão histopatológico mais diagnosticado atingindo 26,6% dos casos. Em gatos a dermatite nodular é o segundo padrão lesionai mais freqüente, atingindo 35,3% dos casos. As dermatoses atróficas, que incluem as inespecíficas e as com displasia pigmentar, foram diagnosticadas em 8,9% das amostras de cães e 1,8% das amostras de gatos. As doenças de pele proliferativas não neoplásicas, que incluem o nevo epidermal pigmentado e a calcinose circunscrita, foram diagnosticadas em 0,5% dos casos de cães e 1,8% dos casos de gatos

Team Ambidexterity and its Prerequisites: An Exploratory Study of an IT Service Management Team

Companies’ increasing reliance on information technology (IT) requires IT service management teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable IT service delivery while learning and experimenting with innovative IT at the same time. These disparate demands create tensions for IT service management teams that are challenging to handle. In our study, we present one approach to effectively managing these tensions. By conducting a single-case study of a high-performance IT service management team responsible for 16,000 end-users in Latin America, we identified crucial activities and prerequisites that help deal with these tensions. In particular, we provide an overview of ten multi-level prerequisites and show that dealing with disparate demands on the team level also depends on organizational- and individual-level prerequisites. By answering several calls for studying the management of different demands at the team level, we contribute to the scarce research on team ambidexterity

ESTUDO NA GESTÃO DA AVANTIS: UM CASO PARA SUA DIRETORIA ADMINISTRATIVA E FINANCEIRA - BALNEÁRIO CAMBORIÚ - SC - BRASIL

O Brasil passa atualmente por uma desaceleração da economia e mesmo sendo sempre necessário, estudar e melhorar a gestão das organizações, entre elas: as Instituições de Ensino Superior, inclusive nos períodos de receitas abundantes, é primordial quando aumentar as receitas tem como principal fator a racionalização e adequação dos seus recursos por exigências mercadológicas. Neste sentido, o estudo por meio de investigação exploratória com estudo de caso e pesquisa participante teve como objetivo estudar a gestão da Avantis, uma IES brasileira, situada em Balneário Camboriú, no Estado de Santa Catarina. E, os resultados encontrados foram satisfatórios, pois: seu processo decisório foi apresentado; algumas novas normas contábeis foram discutidas e pode-se inferir que as funções de controladoria podem ser exercidas por sua área administrativa e financeira

Representações Sociais do Idoso que Participa de Grupos para Terceira Idade no Município de Santa Cruz do Sul

Resumo: Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo verificar como o idoso do município de Santa Cruz do Sul/ RS que freqüenta algum grupo de convivência está representando a sua velhice e quais as influências culturais e regionais sofridas por este segmento. Buscou-se através de um questionário misto (com perguntas fechadas e abertas) respondido por 10% dos idosos que freqüentam grupos de convivência no município, verificar quem são os idosos de Santa Cruz do Sul que participam de grupos, em que condições eles vivem e como ocupam o seu tempo livre. Este estudo servirá de base para podermos entender como os fatores sócio-culturais influenciam na construção das representações sociais dos idosos. Palavras-chave: Representações Sociais. Idosos. Abstract: This research intented to verify if the old-aged people of Santa Cruz do Sul/RS, which frequents some familiarity group is also changing the way of representing the oldness and which are the culture e region influences in this section. We pretend to verify by a mixed questionary (whith opened and closed questions) applyed to 10 % of the old-aged people that frequent the familiarity groups in this municipality, who are the old aged people of Santa Cruz do Sul, that frequent the groups, in which condictions do they live and how do they occupy the free time. Positive Allosteric Modulation of Kv Channels by Sevoflurane: Insights into the Structural Basis of Inhaled Anesthetic Action.

Inhalational general anesthesia results from the poorly understood interactions of haloethers with multiple protein targets, which prominently includes ion channels in the nervous system. Previously, we reported that the commonly used inhaled anesthetic sevoflurane potentiates the activity of voltage-gated K+ (Kv) channels, specifically, several mammalian Kv1 channels and the Drosophila K-Shaw2 channel. Also, previous work suggested that the S4-S5 linker of K-Shaw2 plays a role in the inhibition of this Kv channel by n-alcohols and inhaled anesthetics. Here, we hypothesized that the S4-S5 linker is also a determinant of the potentiation of Kv1.2 and K-Shaw2 by sevoflurane. Following functional expression of these Kv channels in Xenopus oocytes, we found that converse mutations in Kv1.2 (G329T) and K-Shaw2 (T330G) dramatically enhance and inhibit the potentiation of the corresponding conductances by sevoflurane, respectively. Additionally, Kv1.2-G329T impairs voltage-dependent gating, which suggests that Kv1.2 modulation by sevoflurane is tied to gating in a state-dependent manner. Toward creating a minimal Kv1.2 structural model displaying the putative sevoflurane binding sites, we also found that the positive modulations of Kv1.2 and Kv1.2-G329T by sevoflurane and other general anesthetics are T1-independent. In contrast, the positive sevoflurane modulation of K-Shaw2 is T1-dependent. In silico docking and molecular dynamics-based free-energy calculations suggest that sevoflurane occupies distinct sites near the S4-S5 linker, the pore domain and around the external selectivity filter. We conclude that the positive allosteric modulation of the Kv channels by sevoflurane involves separable processes and multiple sites within regions intimately involved in channel gating

O sistema CEP/CONEP no Brasil: discurso e realidade dez anos depois

Este texto propõe uma análise do sistema CEP/CONEP no Brasil desde sua implementação, há 10 anos. Para tanto, foi feita uma introdução geral referente aos documentos universais que tem inspirado ideologicamente os autores do texto da resolução 196/1996. Após uma breve introdução, o presente estudo aborda o funcionamento deste sistema sua implementação e finalmente, propõe analisar os pontos positivos e negativos do sistema. O sistema CEP/CONEP foi implantado no país, com eficiência e a relativa adesão da comunidade científica brasileira. Pode-se dizer que a CONEP cumpre com atribuições maiores, respeitando o que diz a resolução 196/1996 que a instrui e que, em última instância, protege os sujeitos de pesquisa. Todavia, em um sistema complexo que se implantou com rapidez permanecem falhas que precisam ser percebidas e solucionadas. Entre as questões mais críticas está a falta de capacitação de muitos membros dos CEPs que, segundo os mesmos, se encontram solitários e muitas vezes desamparados pelo sistema central (CONEP) e suas instituições de origem. Como conclusão, se pode dizer que ocorre uma centralização dos conhecimentos na área da ética na pesquisa em algumas capitais do país, o que não ocorre em CEPs de outras regiões apesar de fazerem parte de um mesmo sistema

Surface processing to improve the fatigue strength of bainitic steels : an overview

Currently, one of the major challenges for automotive industries is to reduce the weight and energy consumption of vehicles by using stronger and advanced low-cost materials. Conventional solutions using quenched and tempered steels not always fulfill the desired technical, economic and environmental requirements. Modern continuous cooling bainitic steels can provide a good combination of mechanical strength and toughness, being considered an excellent alternative to replace quenched and tempered martensitic steels in the manufacture of forged components. To meet the desired industry standards in highly loaded components, properties like surface hardness, fatigue strength, wear and friction resistance of these steels can be further improved by subsequent mechanical and thermochemical treatments. Therefore, this paper presents the state of the art in the use of continuous cooling bainitic steels for forging and low energy consumption surface improvement techniques such as: deep rolling and plasma nitriding. Finally, case studies are presented, and conclusions drawn on the current trends and reported practices. Surface modification techniques must be carefully controlled and combined with the material of interest to ensure that undesirable characteristics are not introduced during the manufacturing of the components. The development of processes based on the use of forged continuous cooling bainitic steels can be an excellent alternative to replace the conventional quenching and tempering treatment with considerable reduction of the energy consumption
