Detection of the secondary eclipse of Qatar-1b in the Ks band

Qatar-1b is a close-orbiting hot Jupiter ($R_p\simeq 1.18$ $R_J$, $M_p\simeq 1.33$ $M_J$) around a metal-rich K-dwarf, with orbital separation and period of 0.023 AU and 1.42 days. We have observed the secondary eclipse of this exoplanet in the Ks band with the objective of deriving a brightness temperature for the planet and providing further constraints to the orbital configuration of the system. We obtained near-infrared photometric data from the ground by using the OMEGA2000 instrument at the 3.5 m telescope at Calar Alto (Spain) in staring mode, with the telescope defocused. We have used principal component analysis (PCA) to identify correlated systematic trends in the data. A Markov chain Monte Carlo analysis was performed to model the correlated systematics and fit for the secondary eclipse of Qatar-1b using a previously developed occultation model. We adopted the prayer bead method to assess the effect of red noise on the derived parameters. We measured a secondary eclipse depth of $0.196\%^{+0.071\%}_{-0.051\%}$, which indicates a brightness temperature in the Ks band for the planet of $1885^{+212}_{-168}$ K. We also measured a small deviation in the central phase of the secondary eclipse of $-0.0079^{+0.0162}_{-0.0043}$, which leads to a value for $e\cos{\omega}$ of $-0.0123^{+0.0252}_{-0.0067}$. La inclusión de los hermanos de vínculo completo como herederos forzosos testamentarios

El objetivo general fue determinar en qué medida se puede incluir a los hermanos de vínculo completo como herederos forzosos a falta de los regulados en el artículo 724 del Código Civil. Se utilizó la siguiente metodología: El tipo de investigación es básica y tiene un diseño no experimental. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue el cuestionario. La población constituida fue de 9717 abogados adscritos al Ilustres Colegio de Lambayeque, y la muestra fue de 88 abogados Especialistas en Derecho Civil, 7 Jueces civiles y 5 Notarios. La conclusión principal fue el derecho a la herencia, es un derecho fundamental que se concede a los herederos forzosos, y por tanto debe cumplir una función de protección en el ámbito familiar, es por ello que no debe tener un alcance limitado sino por el contrario su función debe estar encaminado con miras a cumplir ese rol fundamental que la constitución y las normas supranacionales predican respecto a la herencia y quienes son los que deben sucede

Detection of the secondary eclipse of WASP-10b in the Ks-band

WASP-10b, a non-inflated hot Jupiter, was discovered around a K-dwarf in a near circular orbit ($\sim$$0.06$). Since its discovery in 2009, different published parameters for this system have led to a discussion about the size, density, and eccentricity of this exoplanet. In order to test the hypothesis of a circular orbit for WASP-10b, we have observed its secondary eclipse in the Ks-band, where the contribution of planetary light is high enough to be detected from the ground. Observations were performed with the OMEGA2000 instrument at the 3.5-meter telescope at Calar Alto (Almer\'ia, Spain), in staring mode during 5.4 continuous hours, with the telescope defocused, monitoring the target during the expected secondary eclipse. A relative light curve was generated and corrected from systematic effects, using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique. The final light curve was fitted using a transit model to find the eclipse depth and a possible phase shift. The best model obtained from the Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis resulted in an eclipse depth of $\Delta F$ of $0.137\%^{+0.013\%}_{-0.019\%}$ and a phase offset of $\Delta \phi$ of $-0.0028^{+0.0005}_{-0.0004}$. The eclipse phase offset derived from our modeling has systematic errors that were not taken into account and should not be considered as evidence of an eccentric orbit. The offset in phase obtained leads to a value for $|e\cos{\omega}|$ of $0.0044$. The derived eccentricity is too small to be of any significance.Comment: 8 pages, 10 figure

Surgical Treatment of Hepatic Hydatidosis

Hepatic hydatid disease has been reported from ancient times. It is a zoonotic infection caused by nine recognized species of tapeworms of the genus Echinococcus. Some of them are known to cause human echinococcosis, and there is reasonable doubt regarding the others. Diagnosis is supported by epidemiological history, clinical presentation, radiological imaging, and serological tests. Various pathological forms may become life-threatening, and in those cases, the treatment is extremely complex. The main objective of the treatment is to completely cure the illness in order to avoid further complications and recurrences. Hepatic surgery, using different techniques, achieves best results with acceptable morbidity and mortality rates. In the South of Chile, the geographical location in which we work, this illness is endemic with high incidence and prevalence. The hepatobiliopancreatic units of the regional surgical centers of Temuco have plenty of experience treating liver hydatid disease. In this chapter we shall focus especially on epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of hepatic hydatidosis

Diseño del sistema de gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo, basado en el cumplimiento del decreto 1072 de 2015, empresa O.C.T Construcciones SAS, ciudad de Villanueva - Casanare

El presente estudio se realizó con el propósito de Diseñar el sistema de gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo, cumplimiento con los requisitos del decreto 1072 de 2015 para la empresa O.C.T Construcciones SAS. Empresa dedicada a prestar servicios de Topografía, Laboratorio de Suelos, Actividades de Obra Civil y Consultoría Ambiental. Esta se fundamenta en el paradigma positivismo, de tipo Mixta. Se plantearon tres fases; el Diagnóstico del estado de cumplimiento legal respecto al SG-SST, en base a los requerimientos de los estándares mínimos de la Resolución 0312 de 2019, el Análisis de los instrumentos para la evaluación y valoración de los peligros y riesgos y la Estructuración de información documentada; se aplicó la Herramienta para la evaluación de los estándares mínimos de Los SG-SST, Guía Técnica Colombiana GTC-45; año 2012 y la Lista de chequeo Decreto 1072 de 2015, a Cinco (05) trabajadores de la empresa OCT Construcciones; quienes laboran en las cuatro actividades económicas de la organización; (1) laboratorio de suelos y concretos, (1) obras civiles, (3) topografía A partir de los resultados, se realizó un diagnóstico inicial que permitió verificar el estado de la empresa OCT Construcciones SAS, frente al Decreto 1072 de 2015. Posteriormente se desarrolla la identificación de peligros, evaluación y valoración de riesgos por medio de la Guía Técnica Colombiana GTC-45; revisión 2012, que permitió incluir los procesos Administrativos, Laboratorio y topografía, Obras Civiles y Contratistas; evaluando de manera sistemática y completa en cada una de las actividades que desarrolla la empresa. Microbiological and clinical effects of probiotics and antibiotics on nonsurgical treatment of chronic periodontitis: a randomized placebo- controlled trial with 9-month follow-up

ABSTRACT Objective: The aim of this double-blind, placebo-controlled and parallel- arm randomized clinical trial was to evaluate the effects of Lactobacillus rhamnosus SP1-containing probiotic sachet and azithromycin tablets as an adjunct to nonsurgical therapy in clinical parameters and in presence and levels of Tannerella forsythia, Porphyromonas gingivalis and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans. Material and Methods: Forty-seven systemically healthy volunteers with chronic periodontitis were recruited and monitored clinically and microbiologically at baseline for 3, 6 and 9 months after therapy. Subgingival plaque samples were collected from four periodontal sites with clinical attachment level ≥1 mm, probing pocket depth ≥4 mm and bleeding on probing, one site in each quadrant. Samples were cultivated and processed using the PCR technique. Patients received nonsurgical therapy including scaling and root planing (SRP) and were randomly assigned to a probiotic (n=16), antibiotic (n = 16) or placebo (n = 15) group. L. rhamnosus SP1 was taken once a day for 3 months. Azithromycin 500mg was taken once a day for 5 days. Results: All groups showed improvements in clinical and microbiological parameters at all time points evaluated. Probiotic and antibiotic groups showed greater reductions in cultivable microbiota compared with baseline. The placebo group showed greater reduction in number of subjects with P. gingivalis compared with baseline. However, there were no significant differences between groups. Conclusions: The adjunctive use of L. rhamnosus SP1 sachets and azithromycin during initial therapy resulted in similar clinical and microbiological improvements compared with the placebo group
