Are Covered Bonds Different from Asset Securitization Bonds?
This is
the first study comparing

. Using a sample of 6,191
AS bonds and 1

Our results show

Documental.
Abstract:
The research developed through the project Estratégias de Intervenção socioeducativa
em contextos sociais complexos concerns the assessment of social and educational
policies, particularly in what regards safety in school contexts marked by social and
cultural complexity and diversity. The assessment focused on the analysis of the social
and educational intervention strategies of three schools of the Lisbon Metropolitan
Area on the problem of school violence.
Assuming that school violence is a multidetermined and multifaceted phenomenon the
research engaged an approach that includes the intervention/action of formal
institutions and of social agents as mechanisms that structure and regulate
conceptions and practices of school violence.
The gathering and systematization of information was centered on the intervention
strategies developed locally by the schools, on one hand, and the perspectives of the
different stakeholders, on the other hand, considering students, teachers, school
directors and representatives from the local organizations and institutions.
The methodology intersected extensive and intensive methods, combining techniques
such as Observation, Interviews, Focus Groups, Questionnaires, Social Network
Analysis and Document Analysis. At the final stage, the various actors were involved on
the discussion and analysis of the results, as well as the validation of an intervention
strategy to deal with school violence. This strategy was the main result of the projectand resulted from a dynamic assessment and participative procedures. The
presentation at the VI CIED Conference focused on the procedures and key outputs of
this research project
Urinary tract infections on the Portuguese general practitioner sentinel network - preliminary data 2016
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are inflammatory processes of infectious cause, which can reach the upper and/or lower urinary tract. UTIs, after respiratory infections, are the most frequent in the community, with a higher incidence in females. They can be classified according to anatomical location: in cystitis (low UTI) where the presence of bacteria is limited to the bladder; and pyelonephritis (high UTI) defined as that affecting the pelvis and renal parenchyma. Escherichia coli is responsible for 75 to 90% of the cases. The high rates of resistance of E. coli to quinolones and co-trimoxazol described in Portugal are likely to be a consequence of the prescription abuse of these antibiotics over the last few decades and may increase the risk of antibiotic failure. When the antibiotic prescribing decision is based on the knowledge of the main microbial agents involved and its sensitivity profile is known, allowing guidelines to be adjusted to the current reality, empirical antibiotic therapy is associated with eradication rates equal to or greater than 90%.N/
Educational policies, territories and actors strategies
The purpose of this paper is to analyse how educational policies about
school violence are reinterpreted and implemented at school level and if this
process contributes to a more pluralistic and democratic school. A research carried
out in 3 clusters of schools showed that the diversity of understandings and
strategies to face school violence, higher within the territories than between them,
was associated to the school board's agendas and the legitimacy of the different
actors to interpret and act within the national policies framework. There was a high
consistency between violence management strategies and the ways schools faced
social and cultural diversity. Those who favour more inclusive strategies to deal
with violence tend to provide higher educational opportunities in schools,
inversely, those who favour repressive strategies are more likely to support
educational and social selective strategies, with less educational offer; less
participation of teachers, students and parents in violence regulation

ROCK Lisbon Survey: Statistical Report
The ROCK Lisbon Survey was designed and implemented by the ICS research team under the
coordination of Roberto Falanga (co-Principal Investigator at the host institution).
The survey was structured into seven sections: Cultural Heritage, Urban Changes, Urban Voids,
Urban Mobility, Local Economy, Future, Citizen Participation, and ROCK Project.
Data collection was undertaken between May and August 2019 in the ROCK intervention area
including the following neighbourhoods in the parishes of Beato and Marvila (Lisbon): Bairro
do Marquês de Abrantes; Bairro dos Alfinetes; Ex-Cooperativas (Avenida Paulo VI); Bairro da
Quinta do Chalé; Bairro da PRODAC-SUL; Rua de Marvila; Vilas e Pátios no Beco dos
Toucinheiros; Poço do Bispo e Rua do Açúcar; Xabregas e Rua do Beato.
The Stratified Proportional Quota sample in the ROCK intervention area selected 368 people
who were identified from available data on resident population, sex and age (Instituto Nacional
de Estatistica 2011). The sample reproduced the proportion that the identified groups have in
the general population.
This report was produced by Rita Correia, who conducted data analysis through descriptive and
inferential statistical methods. Qui Square tests and F tests were conducted to provide
respectively differences in proportions and means. Corresponding values are presented
