JUST IN TIME Y PRODUCTIVIDAD DE LA EMPRESA GOODYEAR – CALLAO, 2018
El tema tratado en la presente investigación, tiene como objetivo general determinar la
influencia de just in time en la productividad de la empresa Goodyear – Callao, 2018, lo cual
significó investigar en teorías científica para su pertinente elaboración. El método empleado
fue hipotético - deductivo con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con un nivel
explicativo causal y diseño no experimental –transversal. La población de estudio fue
conformada por 90 colaboradores y la muestra fue de 44 colaboradores de la compañía
Goodyear. El instrumento fue el cuestionario, el cual está conformado por 20 preguntas en
escala de Likert, seguidamente, pasó a ser examinado a través del programa estadístico SPSS
22. De esta manera, se utilizó la prueba estadística de regresión lineal para saber el porcentaje
de influencia de la variable independiente sobre la variable dependiente. Se llegó a la
conclusión, que la presente investigación arrojó resultados positivos, que demostraron que el

A Poisson-spectral model for modelling temporal patterns in human data observed by a robot
The efficiency of autonomous robots depends on how well they understand their operating environment. While most of the traditional environment models focus on the spatial representation, long-term mobile robot operation in human populated environments requires that the robots have a basic model of human behaviour.
We present a framework that allows us to retrieve and represent aggregate human behaviour in large, populated environments on extended temporal scales. Our approach, based on time-varying Poisson process models and spectral analysis, efficiently retrieves long-term, re-occurring patterns of human activity from robot-gathered observations and uses these patterns to i) predict human activity level at particular times and places and ii) classify locations based on their periodic patterns of activity. The application of our framework on real-world data, gathered by a mobile robot operating in an indoor environment for one month, indicates that its predictive capabilities outperform other temporal modelling methods while being computationally more efficient. The experiment also demonstrates that spectral signatures act as features that allow us to classify room types which semantically match with humans' expectations
Giant optomechanical spring effect in plasmonic nano- and picocavities probed by surface-enhanced Raman scattering
Molecular vibrations couple to visible light only weakly, have small mutual
interactions, and hence are often ignored for non-linear optics. Here we show
the extreme confinement provided by plasmonic nano- and pico-cavities can
sufficiently enhance optomechanical coupling so that intense laser illumination
drastically softens the molecular bonds. This optomechanical pumping regime
produces strong distortions of the Raman vibrational spectrum related to giant
vibrational frequency shifts from an optical spring effect which is
hundred-fold larger than in traditional cavities. The theoretical simulations
accounting for the multimodal nanocavity response and near-field-induced
collective phonon interactions are consistent with the experimentally-observed
non-linear behavior exhibited in the Raman spectra of nanoparticle-on-mirror
constructs illuminated by ultrafast laser pulses. Further, we show indications
that plasmonic picocavities allow us to access the optical spring effect in
single molecules with continuous illumination. Driving the collective phonon in
the nanocavity paves the way to control reversible bond softening, as well as
irreversible chemistry
Survey of Period Variations of Superhumps in SU UMa-Type Dwarf Novae. II: The Second Year (2009-2010)
As an extension of the project in Kato et al. (2009, arXiv:0905.1757), we
collected times of superhump maxima for 61 SU UMa-type dwarf novae mainly
observed during the 2009-2010 season. The newly obtained data confirmed the
basic findings reported in Kato et al. (2009): the presence of stages A-C, as
well as the predominance of positive period derivatives during stage B in
systems with superhump periods shorter than 0.07 d. There was a systematic
difference in period derivatives for systems with superhump periods longer than
0.075 d between this study and Kato et al. (2009). We suggest that this
difference is possibly caused by the relative lack of frequently outbursting SU
UMa-type dwarf novae in this period regime in the present study. We recorded a
strong beat phenomenon during the 2009 superoutburst of IY UMa. The close
correlation between the beat period and superhump period suggests that the
changing angular velocity of the apsidal motion of the elliptical disk is
responsible for the variation of superhump periods. We also described three new
WZ Sge-type objects with established early superhumps and one with likely early
superhumps. We also suggest that two systems, VX For and EL UMa, are WZ
Sge-type dwarf novae with multiple rebrightenings. The O-C variation in OT
J213806.6+261957 suggests that the frequent absence of rebrightenings in very
short-Porb objects can be a result of sustained superoutburst plateau at the
epoch when usual SU UMa-type dwarf novae return to quiescence preceding a
rebrightening. We also present a formulation for a variety of Bayesian

Emission-Line Galaxies from the Hubble Space Telescope Probing Evolution and Reionization Spectroscopically (PEARS) Grism Survey. II: The Complete Sample
We present a full analysis of the Probing Evolution And Reionization
Spectroscopically (PEARS) slitess grism spectroscopic data obtained with the
Advanced Camera for Surveys on HST. PEARS covers fields within both the Great
Observatories Origins Deep Survey (GOODS) North and South fields, making it
ideal as a random survey of galaxies, as well as the availability of a wide
variety of ancillary observations to support the spectroscopic results. Using
the PEARS data we are able to identify star forming galaxies within the
redshift volume 0< z<1.5. Star forming regions in the PEARS survey are
pinpointed independently of the host galaxy. This method allows us to detect
the presence of multiple emission line regions (ELRs) within a single galaxy.
1162 Ha, [OIII] and/or [OII] emission lines have been identified in the PEARS
sample of ~906 galaxies down to a limiting flux of ~1e-18 erg/s/cm^2. The ELRs
have also been compared to the properties of the host galaxy, including
morphology, luminosity, and mass. From this analysis we find three key results:
1) The computed line luminosities show evidence of a flattening in the
luminosity function with increasing redshift; 2) The star forming systems show
evidence of disturbed morphologies, with star formation occurring predominantly
within one effective (half-light) radius. However, the morphologies show no
correlation with host stellar mass; and 3) The number density of star forming
galaxies with M_* > 1e9} M_sun decreases by an order of magnitude at z<0.5
relative to the number at 0.5<z<0.9 in support of the argument for galaxy

Modulators of 14-3-3 Protein-Protein Interactions
Direct interactions between proteins are essential for the regulation of their functions in biological pathways. Targeting the complex network of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) has now been widely recognized as an attractive means to therapeutically intervene in disease states. Even though this is a challenging endeavor and PPIs have long been regarded as 'undruggable' targets, the last two decades have seen an increasing number of successful examples of PPI modulators resulting in a growing interest in this field. PPI modulation requires novel approaches and the integrated efforts of multiple disciplines to be a fruitful strategy. This Perspective focuses on the hub protein 14-3-3, which has several hundred identified protein interaction partners and is therefore involved in a wide range of cellular processes and diseases. Here, we aim to provide an integrated overview of the approaches explored for the modulation of 14-3-3 PPIs and review the examples resulting from these efforts in both inhibiting and stabilizing specific 14-3-3 protein complexes by small molecules, peptide-mimetics and natural products
Comparative inequalities in child dental caries across four countries:Examination of international birth cohorts and implications for oral health policy
Child dental caries (i.e., cavities) are a major preventable health problem in most highincome countries. The aim of this study was to compare the extent of inequalities in child dental caries across four high-income countries alongside their child oral health policies. Coordinated analyses of data were conducted across four prospective population-based birth cohorts (Australia, n = 4085, born 2004; Québec, Canada, n = 1253, born 1997; Rotterdam, the Netherlands, n = 6690, born 2002; Southeast Sweden, n = 7445, born 1997), which enabled a high degree of harmonization. Risk ratios (adjusted) and slope indexes of inequality were estimated to quantify social gradients in child dental caries according to maternal education and household income. Children in the least advantaged quintile for income were at greater risk of caries, compared to the most advantaged quintile: Australia: AdjRR = 1.18, 95%CI = 1.04-1.34; Québec: AdjRR = 1.69, 95%CI = 1.36-2.10; Rotterdam: AdjRR = 1.67, 95%CI = 1.36-2.04; Southeast Sweden: AdjRR = 1.37, 95%CI = 1.10-1.71). There was a higher risk of caries for children of mothers with the lowest level of education, compared to the highest: Australia: AdjRR = 1.18, 95%CI = 1.01-1.38; Southeast Sweden: AdjRR = 2.31, 95%CI = 1.81-2.96; Rotterdam: AdjRR = 1.98, 95%CI = 1.71-2.30; Québec: AdjRR = 1.16, 95%CI = 0.98-1.37. The extent of inequalities varied in line with jurisdictional policies for provision of child oral health services and preventive public health measures. Clear gradients of social inequalities in child dental caries are evident in high-income countries. Policy related mechanisms may contribute to the differences in the extent of these inequalities. Lesser gradients in settings with combinations of universal dental coverage and/or fluoridation suggest these provisions may ameliorate inequalities through additional benefits for socio-economically disadvantaged groups of children.</p
Survey of Period Variations of Superhumps in SU UMa-Type Dwarf Novae
We systematically surveyed period variations of superhumps in SU UMa-type
dwarf novae based on newly obtained data and past publications. In many
systems, the evolution of superhump period are found to be composed of three
distinct stages: early evolutionary stage with a longer superhump period,
middle stage with systematically varying periods, final stage with a shorter,
stable superhump period. During the middle stage, many systems with superhump
periods less than 0.08 d show positive period derivatives. Contrary to the
earlier claim, we found no clear evidence for variation of period derivatives
between superoutburst of the same object. We present an interpretation that the
lengthening of the superhump period is a result of outward propagation of the
eccentricity wave and is limited by the radius near the tidal truncation. We
interpret that late stage superhumps are rejuvenized excitation of 3:1
resonance when the superhumps in the outer disk is effectively quenched. Many
of WZ Sge-type dwarf novae showed long-enduring superhumps during the
post-superoutburst stage having periods longer than those during the main
superoutburst. The period derivatives in WZ Sge-type dwarf novae are found to
be strongly correlated with the fractional superhump excess, or consequently,
mass ratio. WZ Sge-type dwarf novae with a long-lasting rebrightening or with
multiple rebrightenings tend to have smaller period derivatives and are
excellent candidate for the systems around or after the period minimum of
