Deporte, violencia y educación

El deporte moderno ha eliminado gran parte de los componentes de violencia física que caracterizaron históricamente la práctica deportiva. En la actualidad, el deporte espectáculo exalta a través de los medios de comunicación otro tipo de agresividad, aquella que glorifica la competitividad y exige la existencia de ganadores y perdedores en cualquier ámbito de la vida social. Frente a dicho modelo deportivo debe fomentarse el deporte educativo, que enseña que lo verdaderamente importante es jugar y divertirse, y que el contrincante es el compañero de juegosThe modern conception of sports avoid the most part of the physical violence associated historicaly to the sportive practice. Now, the show-sport enhance -by means the media- a different type of agressivity. This agressivity points to the competition and the existence of both winners and losers in all the society fields. Racismo en el fútbol profesional español (1ª y 2ª división). Temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. (Racism in the Spanish professional football (1st and 2nd division). Seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06).

<b>Resumen</b><p align="justify">En la presente investigación se analizan los incidentes racistas ocurridos en los partidos de liga del fútbol profesional español en 1ª y 2ª división durante las temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. Para realizar dicho análisis se han empleado tres fuentes oficiales: 1. Actas de la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia en los Espectáculos Deportivos, 2. Informes trimestrales realizados por la Oficina Nacional del Deporte perteneciente a la Dirección General de la Policía, y 3. Actas arbitrales. Los resultados muestran cómo el número total de incidentes racistas se mantuvo prácticamente constante en ambas temporadas aunque en 2ª división el número de incidentes se duplicó. En cuanto a la tipología de los incidentes recogidos, el 79% hace relación a conductas e insultos racistas mientras que el 21% restante se refiere a la exhibición de simbología de carácter racista. También se muestran datos de los clubes cuyos seguidores han ocasionado más incidentes racistas; cuántos de esos incidentes fueron protagonizados por grupos ultras; así como el número de personas implicadas y las propuestas de sanción realizadas por la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia. Por último se reflejan los colegiados que recogieron en sus actas arbitrales incidentes racistas y/o xenófobos.</p><b> Abstract</b><p align="justify"> This investigation analyzes the racist incidents occurred during spanish proffesional football games of the 1st and 2nd division in the seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06. To conduct such analysis it was used three official sources: 1. Minutes of the National Committee against Violence in Public Spectacles, 2. Quarterly reports elaborated by the Sport National Bureau belonging to the Police National Department, and 3. Referees’ minutes. Results show how the total number of racist incidents was practically the same in both seasons, however in the 2nd division the number of incidents was twice as compared to the 1st division. Regarding the typology of the incidents analyzed, 79 % were related to racist behaviors and insults, and 21 % to exhibition of racist symbology. In addition, this study shows the clubs which supporters have been involved in more racist incidents and the number of these incidents related with groups of hooligans. Number of people involved and sanctions proposals elaborated by the National Committee against Violence were also included. Finally, it is the list with the names of the referees that have written racist or xenophobic incidents in their minutes.</p

Ética de la competición deportiva: Valores y contravalores del deporte competitivo = Ethics in Sport Competition: Values and Negative Values in Competitive Sports

Para entender en toda su complejidad tanto las potencialidades como las limitaciones de la competición deportiva para educar y transmitir valores consideramos esencial dirigir nuestra atención a la reflexión ética del deporte, y más concretamente a las dos líneas de pensamiento divergente sobre el valor ético de la competición deportiva. Para algunos autores en la naturaleza competitiva del deporte encontramos una esencia profundamente ética y transmisora de valores, mientras que para otros en dicha esencia competitiva radica el mayor problema ético del fenómeno deportivo. Más que tomar partido por alguna de ellas, nuestra intención es tratar de exponerlas y entenderlas en toda su complejidad ya que ambas argumentaciones están plagadas de matices interesantísimos. Finalizaremos el artículo presentando aquellos principios esenciales que deben guiar las competiciones deportivas que pretendan educar y transmitir valores a sus participantes, resguardando unos principios éticos esenciales.-----------------------------------------------------------------To understand the full complexity of both the potential and the limitations of competitive sports to educate and foster values we consider essential to turn our attention to ethical reflection in sport, and more specifically to the two lines of divergent thinking about the ethical value of sport competition. For some authors in the competitive nature of sport we find a deep ethical essence and transmitter of values, while for others in this competitive essence lies the greatest ethical problem of sports. Rather than siding with any of them, our intention is to try to show them and understand their complexity as both arguments have very interesting nuances. El fenómeno de las jóvenes hinchadas radicales en el fútbol : un análisis sociológico figuracional sobre una forma de conflicto social : su situación en España

Elías y e. Dunning, quest for excitement. Sport and leisure in the civilizing process (1986), y utilizando el enfoque "figuracional" y "desarrollista" que Elías ha dado a la sociología, con la presente tesis hemos analizado el fenómeno de las jóvenes hinchadas radicales en el fútbol. A partir de una aproximación metodológica bidimensional en la que hemos conjugado el análisis cuantitativo (censos policiales y datos recabados de la comisión nacional contra la violencia) con el cualitativo (entrevistas en profundidad y discusiones de grupo) hemos evidenciado que el origen, evolución y mantenimiento de este fenómeno social solo puede entenderse interpretando al mismo como una estructura figuracional, es decir, como un entramado de intereses interdependientes enmarcado además en un proceso civilizador general. Actividad física y deporte en jóvenes en riesgo: educación en valores

En este artículo hacemos una revisión y presentamos los principales estudios y líneas de trabajo que se vienen realizando para educar en valores a jóvenes en riesgo a través de la actividad física y el deporte. Hacemos un recorrido a través de las características que definen a este tipo de poblaciones, los aspectos más importantes a trabajar en valores, los errores más comunes que se han cometido en los programas de intervención, y la necesidad de trabajar desde su propia cultura y partir de la noción de modelos ecológicos integrados

Is a Maximal Strength-Training Program Effective on Physical Fitness, Injury Incidence, and Injury Burden in Semi-Professional Soccer Players? A Randomized Controlled Trial

The aims of the study were to analyze the effects of a 12-week maximal strength- training program on injury incidence, injury burden, and physical fitness in semi-professional soccer players and to compare the perceived exertion load and well-being state between injured and non-injured soccer players. Twenty semi-professional male soccer players participated in this study. Participants were randomly allocated to an experimental group (EG, n = 10 players), who performed a maximal strength-training program, or to a control group (CG, n = 10 players), who only performed their regular soccer training. Physical fitness was measured at baseline and after the training program. In addition, the injury incidence, burden, training/match load, and the state of well-being of the players were recorded. The EG showed significant improvements in vertical jumps, change in direction ability, linear sprints, repeated sprint ability, isometric strength (p < 0.003; effect size = 1.78–11.86), and quadriceps–hamstring imbalance in both legs (p < 0.001; effect size = 2.37–3.71) in comparison to the CG. In addition, the EG players showed a significantly (p < 0.05) lower injury burden (p < 0.001, relative risk = 5.05, 95% confidence interval = 3.27–7.79). Gender equality in undergraduate studies in Communication: imaginary transversality. Case study of Andalusian public universities

Son muchos los estudios que son publicados sobre la relación género-Universidad: desde los techos de cristal hasta estadísticas de rendimiento académico, pasando por la representación en investigación y docencia de mujeres, dependiendo de las áreas de conocimiento como guetos de terciopelo o las redes de mujeres investigadoras, la generación de unidades de igualdad en rectorados o en facultades... Y a pesar de todo ello, es cierto que los términos de desigualdad continúan siendo muchos en el ámbito universitario, como demuestran las más recientes investigaciones, donde se evidencia que el New Public Management que se está poniendo en práctica en múltiples países europeos en el ámbito universitario, transversalidad y diversidad configuran de forma conjunta las políticas de igualdad en las universidades, pero se apoyan en métricas de éxito cuantitativas, que rara vez encuentran un análisis en profundidad de lo cualitativo y del ejercicio de la práctica igualitaria. Uno de esos ejercicios es el de cumplir con la presencia de la transversalidad en las asignaturas de los planes de estudios. Esta investigación ha trabajado sobre los programas docentes de los grados en Comunicación Audiovisual, Publicidad y Periodismo, a modo de estudio de caso, de las universidades públicas andaluzas, buscando el reflejo en ellos de la transversalidad de género exigida por la normativa reguladora surgida de la adaptación del sistema universitario español al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES). El corpus, de 360 programas, ha sido tratado con la herramienta de análisis de datos cualitativos ATLAS.ti.There are many research that are emerging on the gender-university relationship: from glass ceilings to statistics of academic performance, including representation in research and teaching of women, depending on the areas of knowledge such as velvet ghettos or networks of women researchers, the generation of equality units in rectorships or faculties... And despite all this, it is true that the inequality terms continue to be many in the university field, as evidenced by the most recent research, which shows that The New Public Management that is being implemented in multiple European countries in the university, transversality and diversity jointly shape equality policies in universities, but are supported by quantitative success metrics, which rarely find an analysis in depth of the qualitative and the exercise of egalitarian practice. One of these exercises is to fulfill the presence of transversality in the subjects of the syllabuses. This research has worked on the teaching programs of the degrees in Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Journalism, as a case study, of the Andalusian public universities, looking for the reflection in them of gender mainstreaming demanded by the regulatory norms arising from the adaptation of the Spanish university system to the European Higher Education Area (EEES). Current Imbalance Detection Method based on Vector Space Decomposition Approach for Five-Phase Induction Motor Drives

The inherent fault-tolerant capability against open-phase faults (OPFs) of multiphase machines is an appreciated advantage in applications where high-reliability is a main concern. This desirable feature has usually required fault localization and post-fault control reconfiguration to provide a suitable performance in this anomaly situation. However, recent model predictive control (MPC) based on virtual voltage vectors (VVs) has validated the multiphase machine fault-tolerant capability without post-fault control reconfiguration. This fact allows to relax some of the OPF detection methods requirements. On the other hand, incipient faults or damaged connections can generate resistance dissymmetry (RD) situations that produces overheating and control degradation. Although the origin of OPFs and RDs can be of a different nature, the symptoms of both anomalies are common: a current imbalance that generates non-null x-y currents appears. Focusing on this approach, this work suggests new settings for an OPF detection method based on the vector space decomposition (VSD) in order to make it universally valid both in OPF and RD situations. The proposed current imbalance detection (CID) method is implemented together with a natural fault-tolerant direct torque control (DTC) for five-phase induction motor drives.
