Thermal transformations of aluminium-aluminium oxide systems in nanosize layers

    Get PDF
Aluminium film of more than 2 nm thick indicates, but less than 2 nm do not indicate characteristic absorption and reflection bands for aluminium in range ?=190...1100 nm. By spectrophotometric, gravimetric and microscopic methods it is stated that thickness, mass and absorption, reflection spectrum of aluminium films (d=2...200 nm) undergo considerable transformations as a result of heat treatment in an interval of temperatures 373...600 K during 1...140 min in atmospheric conditions. Kinetic curve of transformation degrees, change of thickness and weights of samples are shown to be satisfactorily described in the context of the logarithmic law. It is established that changes of absorption spectra, thickness and weights of aluminium films are connected with the formation of aluminium oxide on their surface

TACTICS OF ETIOTROPIC THERAPY OF FOOD ALLERGY OF CHILDREN

    Get PDF
The subject of the research is to determine the tactics and the effectiveness of the diet therapy for the children suffered from the food allergy. We examined 162 children with skin, respiratory, combined and gastrointestinal forms of food allergy at age from 1 to 18 years. The effectiveness of the diet therapy turned out to depend on finding the right allergens that cause the illness and the allergens that take part in cross-reactions it also depends on quantity of allergens that take part in the progress of allergic inflammation and lingering of illness

Software engineering is an engineering discipline that is concerned with all aspects of software production. Software engineering can be divided into sub-disciplines. Some of them are: - Software engineering management: The application of management activities – planning, coordinating, measuring, monitoring, controlling, and reporting – to ensure that the development and maintenance of software is systematic, disciplined, and quantified. Requirements engineering: The elicitation, analysis, specification, and validation of requirements for software

Effect of nitrogenous bases on the thermal stability of jet fuels

    Get PDF
Fuels from naphthenic petroleums were evaluated, and it was found that they had more N bases than those paraffinic ones (0.00024 and 0.000009% N, respectively). The removal of the N bases improved significantly the thermal stability and reduced the residue formation during oxidation of the fuel. The improvement depended on both content and composition of the bases. Thus, fuels with similar content of N bases (0.00058% N) and thermal stability had oxidation residues of 17.5 and 5.6 and sol. gum of 13 and 1.5 mg/100 ml, before and after removing the N bases, respectively

Analysis of disability indicators due to occupational diseases in the Lviv region: problems and perspectives of the decision.

    Get PDF
Disability is a social phenomenon that can not be ruled out by any society. The potential of society in combating the growth of disability – as a social evil – is determined not only by the degree of understanding of this problem but mainly by economic resources. The risk of developing occupational diseases in the coal industry is 5-10 times higher than in other branches of industry. In Ukraine, about 3 million people work under the harmful conditions of production, 60.0% of them are miners. The study analyzed the dynamics of disability as a result of occupational diseases in the Lviv region for the period 2015-2017. The results of the study prove that the disability indicators due to occupational diseases tend to grow. The ways to overcome this unfavorable tendency should be state measures on improvement of normative and legal documents, coherence between different state institutions and strengthening effective state control over hygiene norms in industries with harmful factors

Sol-Gel Synthesis, X-Ray Diffraction Studies and Electric Conductivity of Sodium Europium Silicate

Sodium europium silicate, NaEu9(SiO4)6O2, with apatite structure has been obtained and studied using X-ray diffraction and SEM. It has been shown that sodium sublimation does not take place upon synthesis by the sol-gel method. Rietveld refinement has revealed that sodium atoms are ordered and occupy the 4f position. O(4) atoms not related to silicate ions are placed at the centers of Eu(2) triangles. DC and AC electric conductivity and activation energy have been determined for the compound studied

Rapid identification of Corynebacterium diphtheriae clonal group associated with diphtheria epidemic, Russian Federation.

We used 199 Corynebacterium diphtheriae isolated from 1995 to 1997 in Russia to evaluate the ability of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) to identify the unique clonal group that emerged there in 1990. Our data show that RAPD can reliably, reproducibly, and rapidly screen a large number of strains to identify the epidemic clonal group

Leaf Mesophyll Structure and Photosynthetic Activity in Calla palustris L. from Natural Habitats with Different Level of Technogenic Pollution

    Get PDF
A study of leaf structure and CO2 assimilation rate was conducted on the emergent plant Calla palustris L. from natural habitats with different levels of technogenic pollution (the Sak-Elga River, upstream and downstream of the Karabash copper smelter, Chelyabinsk region, Russia). It was found that both chlorophyll a content andthe rate of CO2 assimilation decreased twofold in plants from the downstream site. No significant changes were observed in leaf mesophyll structure and the volume of aerenchyma in the leaf. It was shown that in plants from strongly contaminated site, the decrease in spongy mesophyll cell volume was compensated by the increase in their number, whereas the decrease in the number of chloroplasts per cell was accompanied by a growth in volume. It is concluded that the changes in the numerical and dimensional characteristics of mesophyll cells and chloroplasts provide for the viability of C. palustris under prolonged technogenic impact and demonstrate the plasticity of the photosynthetic apparatus.
