Se estudia el epígrafe CIL II, 159 hallado en la ciudad lusitana de "Ammaia" para valorar si la letra grabada entre el nombre gentilicio y el "cognomen" del homenajeado, "P. Cornelius Q. Macer", puede interpretarse como "Q(uirina)". Lo excepcional que resultaría abreviar la tribu "Quirina" únicamente con la inicial en el ambiente de "Ammaia" durante el siglo I no constituye argumento válido para descartar esta posibilidad. Sabemos que este personaje recibió la ciudadanía romana de Claudio, quien, si la tesis aquí defendida es correcta, le habría inscrito en esta tribu antes de la llegada al poder de la dinastía Flavia.The aim of this paper is to study the inscription carved on an epigraphic source (“CIL” II, 159) found in “Ammaia” (Lusitania). It is suggested to interpret as “Q(uirina)” the letter between “nomen” and “cognomen” of “P. Cornelius Q. Macer”. We can not reject this explanation on the basis that Q. would be an unusual abbreviation for “Quirina” in the first century AD in a place like “Ammaia”. If my interpretation proves right, the new citizen was included in the “Quirina” by Claudius before the Flavian dynasty

La transformación ética de la racionalidad económica en Amartya Sen. Una recuperación de Adam Smith

The aim of this article is to show the necessity of includying ethic elements in the economic rationality, that goes beyond the self-interest and egoism. From a critic of the homo oeconomicus and an exposition of the deficiencies of the egoist rationality, we see how the incorporation of ethic elements is a reflection of the real and rational behaviour of the individuals. Nowadays, Amartya Sen is the one who mainly proposes this theory, but it has in its basis the ethical recuperation of the Adam Smith's work. Finally, we show how the sympathy and commitment are two of the elements of this ethical rationality, but also the values like the confidence or loyalty, which goes beyond a simple economic model to become a theory of social justice

Experiencia intergeneracional entre personas mayores institucionalizadas y grupo de escolares

Desde el Servicio de Psicología y Terapia Ocupacional de Centros Residenciales Palencia, se llevó a cabo un Programa de Educación Intergeneracional entre personas mayores institucionalizadas y escolares de dos centros educativos de la provincia de Palencia. La experiencia en el trabajo con personas mayores ha sido el principal motor para poner en marcha dicho programa. Somos conscientes del crecimiento de la población mayor en nuestro país, así como también de los problemas que acarrean a los jóvenes en la actualidad y de las concepciones erróneas y mitos que se manejan al respecto en ambos periodos evolutivos. Siendo estos motivos los promotores de la experiencia intergeneracional que se expone a continuación bajo el lema “¿Qué podemos aprender? Vs ¿Qué podemos enseñar?. Diferentes grupos de escolares a través de varios talleres programados vivieron jornadas de convivencia con personas mayores institucionalizadas con unas características previamente establecidas. Se observaron implicaciones directas en la motivación, autoestima, concepciones y educación en valores de ambos grupos participantes.From the Department of Psychology and Occupational Therapy Centers Residential Palencia, was held Intergenerational Program between institutionalized education and school two schools in the city of Palencia elderly. Fundraising as organisational knowing in practice: Evidence from the arts and higher education in the UK

This paper argues for the centrality of organisational practices in occupational learning with a case study of fundraising in the non‐profit UK's arts and higher education sectors. Despite the need to increase charitable giving to non‐profit organisations, little is known about the work, fundraisers must do in order to carry out their jobs. We argue that fundraisers develop strategic understandings and competences within organisational environments, which they put into practice in their relationships with stakeholders within and outside the organisations where they work. Our findings suggest that one of the main ways in which fundraisers learn is by negotiating and surmounting obstacles both internally, within their organisational environments and externally, around the perception of fundraising as a profession. We thus argue for the importance of establishing a “fundraising culture” within organisational environments; a shared organisational competence where fundraising is practiced as a legitimate and strategic type of practice

Papel del neuroprotector ApoD en el manejo microglial de agregados amiloides

La apolipoproteína D (ApoD) es una glicoproteína de la familia de las lipocalinas, cuya expresión se incrementa en las regiones del sistema nervioso central afectadas por la Enfermedad de Alzheimer. La función neuroprotectora de esta proteína frente al estrés oxidativo, que caracteriza al proceso de envejecimiento y a las patologías neurodegenerativas, ha sido ampliamente estudiada en neuronas y astrocitos. En este trabajo se analiza el papel de ApoD en las células BV2 (microglía de ratón) expuestas a los oligómeros de ß-amiloide, que son considerados los responsables del proceso neurodegenerativo que ocurre en la Enfermedad de Alzheimer. De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos, ApoD parece ejercer una función protectora frente al daño generado por los oligómeros de Aß sobre las células microgliales, que podría estar relacionada con su actividad antiinflamatoria.Grado en Medicin
