Character Development In Mathematics Problem-Based Learning

Concept of learning is an active process to construct meaning as the result relating new ideas on the previous understanding. Therefore, learning mathematics in the classroom is a process to build a deep understanding by the students through activities designed by teacher. Teacher-designed activities in learning are not only to developing means but also to developing student’s character that will be used for the provision of social life. Therefore education is required not only to build an understanding to students, but also must be able to perform his role and function to inculcate moral values and character. Then, the purpose of education is really a human being who has the knowledge and personality fit with the character of the Indonesian nation. Mathematics Problem based learning could be the way to reach those purposes. Haematological Performances of Jaundice Catfish (Clarias gariepinus, Burch)

The research was aimed to study hematological performances of jaundice and healthy catfish (Clarias gariepinus, Burch.). Fifty fish (i.e. twenty five of jaundice and twenty five of healthy catfish) were collected and analyzed for their hematological parameters. The blood samples were taken from caudal vein of the fish by using 2.5 ml-spuit, and then were collected into bottle samples with no or containing anticoagulant of 1% EDTA. Blood samples in the bottles with anticoagulant were used for blood cell counting and blood glucose analysis. Total billirubin, direct and indirect billirubin, and transaminase-enzymes were measured from serum of the blood samples without anticoagulant. Results showed that the blood cells (i.e. leucocytes, erythrocytes, hemoglobin, and haematocrit) of the jaundice catfish were lower than the healthy catfish. On the other hand, the blood glucose concentration) of the jaundice fish was higher. The direct and indirect billirubin concentration of the jaundice catfish was also higher, which indicated that the jaundice catfish was hiperbillirubin. However, both jaundice and heathty catfish performed high concentration of the transaminase enzymes in their blood serum. It was suggested that the hiperbillirubin-jaundice fish was mal function of their hepar and showing a stress symptoms. TRIVALENT CHROMIUM (CR+3) IN DIETARY CARBOHYDRATE AND ITS EFFECT ON THE GROWTH OF COMMONLY CULTIVATED FISH

Trivalent chromium (Cr+3) is an essential trace mineral for fish bio-physiological functions. Researches on Cr+3 in the form of organic compound indicated that the mineral affected the bio-activity of insulin, the blood glucose influx, and subsequently the blood glucose metabolic rate. By increasing the blood glucose metabolism, dietary carbohydrate will be more efficiently used as a main energy source, thereby, dietary protein could be efficiently retained as for somatic growth. Researches on various feeding habits of fish (e.g. gouramy-herbivorous fish, tilapia-omnivorous fish, and catfish-carnivorous fish) showed that dietary Cr+3 in certain amount increased diet utilization and the fish growth. PISANG BATU Musa Balbisana COLLA : KAJIAN BOTANI DAN PEMANFAATANNYA

Indonesia is the center of the world's banana biodiversity, which is estimated to have 325 cultivated banana varieties and 12 wild banana species. One of the wild bananas that is still easy to find but has not been optimally utilized is the type of stones banana (Musa balbisiana). Apart from its leaves which are widely used as a wrapper for various kinds of traditional food, the heart of stone bananas is also widely used as a mixture of several types of traditional foods such as lawar. Stone bananas are also known to be used as traditional medicine in several areas. In addition, several research results reveal several pharmacological potentials of stone bananas such as anti-microbial, anti-malarial and antioxidant properties. The data used in this article were obtained through online and offline literature studies. The data obtained were then analyzed, synthesized then compiled and summarized to obtain information about the content and utilization of stone bananas. The purpose of this article is to gather information on the use of stone bananas in traditional medicine and some research that reveals its potential. ANALISA PENERIMAAN NEGARA BUKAN PAJAK ( PNBP) MELALUI PENERAPAN PERATURAN PEMERINTAH REPUBLIK INDONESIA NOMOR 12 TAHUN 2014 PADA BALAI TAMAN NASIONAL WAKATOBI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana prosedur dan pelaporan Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak yang ditinjau dari sisi keakuratan pencatatan, kepatuhan pengelolaan, serta tingkat keefektifan kebijakan PNBP di Balai Taman Nasional Wakatobi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 12 Tahun 2014 serta peraturan pelaksanaan lainnya yang berperan melengkapi Peraturan Pemerintah tersebut menjadi dasar hukum bagi penetapan tarif agar sesuai dengan yang telah ditetapkan, kepatuhan pengelolaan dan penyetoran Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak ke Kas Negara, yang kemudian jumlah penerimaannya menggambarkan keefektifan kebijakan Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak ke Kas Negara melalui perbandingan antara Realisasi Penerimaan dan Target Penerimaan

Variation of morphology, karyotype and protein band pattern of adenium (Adenium obesum) varieties

Abstrak. Hastuti D, Suranto, Setyono P. 2009. Variasi morfologi, karyotipe dan pola pita protein pada berbagai varietas kamboja jepang (Adenium obesum). Nusantara Bioscience 1: 78-83. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi Adenium obesum dari enam varietas yaitu obesum, cery, red lucas, red fanta , white bigben, dan harry potter berdasarkan sifat morfologi, karyotipe, serta pola pita protein. Preparat kromosom dibuat dengan metode squash semi permanen dengan bahan ujung akar tanaman dan pola pita protein dilakukan dengan metode SDS-PAGE. Data kualitatif meliputi bentuk dan warna daun dan bunga dari masing-masing varietas. Data morfometri antara varietas dianalisis dengan analisis sidaik ragam (ANAVA), dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan (DMRT), pada taraf 5% terbukti terdapat beda nyata antar varietas. Pola pita protein akar, batang, daun serta semua organ dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan analisis kelompok hierarkhis Average Linkage (between Groups) dalam program SPSS 10.0. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa keenam varietas memiliki karakter morfologi yang bervariasi, yaitu warna daun hijau muda sampai hijau tua, tidak berbulu, tulang daun polos, sedangkan warna mahkota merah muda sampai merah tua, walaupun ada yang putih dan kuning. Jumlah kromosom semua sama yaitu n =22, dimana panjang absolut kromosom berkisar antara 2,56-5,13 μm. Pola pita protein yang terbentuk secara kualitatif terdapat variasi ketebalan di antara keenam varietas, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kandungan proteinnya. The Effect of Gender Awareness Training Towards Teachers and Students Gender-Based Stereotype

Understanding of gender equality ought to be socialized to teachers (e.g. through gender awareness training), in order to enhance teachers' awareness of gender bias practice that happen in school. Therefore, after the training, teachers are expected to apply it in the classroom teaching so that students' gender-based stereotype will be decreased. The aim of the research is to examine the influence of the training towards teachers and students gender-based stereotype. The participants of the research are 4 elementary teachers and 185 elementary students. The gender awareness training is conducted to teachers. Data is gathered through questionnaire, an observation of the classroom learning process, and interview to teachers are also carried out to monitor the effect of the training on gender-based stereotype. The result reveals that there is a decrease of gender-based stereotype on both teacher (t5.563 and p=0.011) and students t=4.137 and p=0.009) after teacher training. Discussion and suggestion of the result, such as handling practical obstacles, the principal's support, will be further described in the paper
