Continuous wave laser-induced forward transfer of conductive Ag nanoparticle inks
Treballs Finals de Grau de Física, Facultat de Física, Universitat de Barcelona, Curs: 2017, Tutor: Pere Serra CorominaThe laser induced forward transfer of silver nanoparticle ink using continuous wave laser is studied in this work. The feasibility of this method for printing well-defined lines is proven. Line formation is studied in the laser intensity - scan speed parameter space, showing satisfactory results for a range of energies and speeds. The conductivity of the lines was measured to be comparable to those obtained with inkjet printing, proving the effectiveness of this technique to produce functional electrical interconnects. High speed photography of the transfer process is performed, revealing the markedly different transfer dynamics compared to the traditional, pulsed laser LIFT process
Dynamic, ecological, accessible and 3D Virtual Worlds-based Libraries using OpenSim and Sloodle along with mobile location and NFC for checking in
This paper proposes the implementation of a 3D virtual library, using open platforms such as OpenSimulator and Sloodle, applied to the integration of virtual learning environments. It also proposes their application to the creation of open libraries to share and disseminate the new dynamic nature of knowledge, in the understanding that 3D virtual worlds may contribute to the future of libraries as part of green initiatives to achieve an ecologic and sustainable planet
A comparative study in the standardisation of IoT devices using geospatial web standards
Although billions of devices are embedded in the World Wide Web through the Internet of Things, there is still a lack of a common, interoperable way to connect them and make them interact seamlessly. IoT has also found its way into the spatial web. Environmental monitoring and sensing platforms connected over the web by wireless sensor networks are now a common way to monitor natural phenomena. This study compares two open Web Standards ( OGC’s Sensor Observation Service and SensorThings API ) from the geospatial point of view. An IoT platform, called SEnviro , is used to integrate and evaluate implementations for each standard and contrast their qualitative and quantitative traits. The results of the study show that the SensorThings API proves to be the adequate Web Standard for IoT applications in terms of interoperability. It outperforms the contesting Web Standard in terms of flexibility and scalability, which strongly impacts on developer and user experience
Developmental Disorders, Journal of Child Phsicologic and Psiquiatrics o la
Aims: a systematic review of articles related to the pragmatics in Asperger
syndrome has been used for this study, a syndrome framed within the Autism
Spectrum Disorder, also known as ASD. The main goal of this review is to focus
on the identification of some theory gaps about the topic, shared ideas between
different authors, investigations, studies, etc. All this aims to obtain an approach
to more verified information by experts on the subject. Methodology: some of
the most prestigious journals in the speech therapy field have been reviewed,
either in Spanish or in English, such as: Journal of Autism and Development
Disorder, the Journal of Child Psychological and Psychiatric o the Revista
Española de Logopedia, Foniatría y Audiología, among others. Results: once
the review of all these materials was accomplished, it has been noticed that
there is a greater number of works related to the theory of mind and less about
differential diagnosis with other disorders. Some gaps have been discovered in
these studies related to Pragmatics, for instance, about diagnosis, evaluation
and intervention. Conclusions: it would be necessary a wider range of articles
focused on intervention, a better distinction about the Autism disorder, and a
better training of the teachers in order to identify people with Asperger
syndrome
Therapeutic Strategies of Secretome of Mesenchymal Stem Cell
Great progress has been made in the therapeutic strategies of multiple diseases that lack curative treatments with the transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), such as in onco-hematological diseases, myocardial infarction (MI), cerebrovascular diseases, degenerative diseases of the nervous system (multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease), and diseases of the immune system, among others. Stem cells (SC) participate in the biological processes of tissue regeneration and repair through cell replication. Recently, the beneficial therapeutic effects of SCs that are generated by the release of proteins with paracrine actions and not by cell differentiation are more well known, and 80% of the therapeutic effect of SC is attributed to paracrine actions. The MSCs release large amounts of proteins and growth factors (GF), nucleic acids, proteasomes, exosomes, and microRNA, and membrane vesicles known as the secretome are released into the extracellular space, regulating multiple biological processes. Currently, the therapeutic strategies in tissue engineering (TE) and regenerative medicine (RM) are focused on the management of products derived from cells that act, both locally and remotely, in the affected tissue or organ, achieving regenerative actions. The application of new knowledge of the secretome initiates a change in the paradigm of regenerative therapy by knowing more about and using cell products derived from cells as a “factory” for biological drugs
