Farmers' Demand for Information about Agribusiness

This study is focused on the habits of the Brazilian farmers that access the Internet for searching information to their economical activities. The main goal is to understand how come those agents of the agribusiness use the formal and informal (personal contact) means of communication, as well as the functions that each of those means accomplish to this public. In other words, it intends to identify the channels of communication of major importance to farmers (used more often, considered the ones of more credibility and preferred among them). That is possible by means of a questionnaire sent exclusively by e-mail, answered by Brazilian farmers. The motivation of the study is to contribute to make the communication more efficient to those who work on farms. That can produce benefits to the communication companies and to the public. The results show that the Internet is the mean of communication more often used and preferred on the process of searching information about the agribusiness among Brazilian farmers. The personal contact, not considered in the valuation about preference, appears in second position in the ranking for intensity of use. On the other hand, the radio, regional press newspapers and newsletters of class entities were the less consulted and the last ones in the ranking of preference.Agribusiness, Teaching/Communication/Extension/Profession,

The aim of this paper is to analyzes the importance of strategic planning in the process of generation of organizational knowledge. Perception and application of the concept “quality by design” (QbD) by the pharmaceutical industry in Portugal

The Quality by Design (QbD) paradigm states that in order to ensure predefined product quality, improve manufacturing quality performance, and serve customers’ needs one must fully understand the processes behind it. With the purpose of assessing the perception of the pharmaceutical industry in Portugal about the usefulness of a strategy for development, production optimization and control/quality management according to the QbD concept and its level of implementation, we conducted a survey amongst 28 licensed entities for the production of medicines and drug substances (excluding medicinal gases) in the Portuguese territory. This survey was applied between 16/12/2014 to 1/06/2014 and had 2 groups of questions: one to characterize the industries and the other one to answer to the research objective. Data treatment and results’ analysis were made with SPSS (v.21). Of the 12 companies that answered the survey, just one (8,3%) did not use or did not initiate the implementation of QbD, although all of them (100%) knew the concept in the context of the guidelines ICH Q8, Q9 and Q10, meaning that Portuguese industries are indeed aware of regulatory proceedings and are keeping pace towards global regulatory harmonisation. Significantly, QbD was considered of greater importance (in terms of dedicated budget and human resources) among the industries having R&D activities (p-value=0,024, assuming a significance level of 5%). The industries’ two most used QbD tools are “Quality Risk Assessment and Quality Risk Management” (27%) followed by “Design of Experiments (DoE)” (18,9%). The most frequently pointed scopes of use and implementation of QbD are “the development and improvement of analytical methods for quality control” (28%) and “process improvements” (28%). Quality management (27,5%) and manufacturing (22,5%) are the most relevant industry sectors under these ICH guidelines’ influence. Of the several benefits indicated as possibly achieved through QbD, the most expressive (32,1%) was “greater robustness in the final product quality and reduction of the risks of "non-compliance" and costs”. Yet, 9 responses (42,9%) stated that “inability/difficulty of allocating time and qualified staff” was the main obstacle towards implementation, followed by “uncertainties on how to actually implement the principles of QbD” (23,8%). This suggests that in spite of Portuguese industries’ ambition to succeed throughout this integrative strategy, there’s still the need to better learn the “know how” and master the skills underlying QbD. To be able to invest time and manpower might be indeed essential to go beyond theoretical knowledge and to acquire the tools and competences for approaching more efficiently this concept. In conclusion, Portuguese industries still have a long path ahead of them towards full adoption of QbD and proving its benefits. This might be done with straight cooperation of regulatory agencies (EMA, ICH, FDA) and experts of this field. Local Medical-Sentinel Network Almada-Seixal: report of one year of experience

A Rede Médicos-Sentinela Local Almada-Seixal foi a primeira rede criada para dar resposta a questões locais de investigação em saúde e, simultaneamente, reforçar a cober tura a nível nacional. Com este ar tigo pretende- se acompanhar a sua implementação e desenvolvimento após o primeiro ano de experiência. A adesão de um número progressivamente maior de médicos à rede permitiu aumentar a população sob obser vação efetiva na Rede Médicos-Sentinela. Foram ponderadas estratégias para garantir a regular par ticipação destes médicos na notificação de eventos. O primeiro desafio desta rede de investigação será a implementação de um estudo sobre os fatores de risco e prognóstico da doença isquémica cardíaca na área de abrangência do ACES Almada-Seixal, considerado prioritário no Plano Local de Saúde.The Local GP Sentinel Network in Almada-Seixal was the first network created to answer some local health investigation issues and, simultaneously, to strengthen the national surveillance. We here present its implementation and development after the first experimental year. The adhesion of more doctors to the network made possible having at national level a larger population under observation. We bring forward some strategies to ensure the regular notification from these doctors. The first project of this network will be the implementation of a study about the risk factors and prognostic of ischemic disease in Almada-Seixal, one of the one of the research priorities in the Local Health Plan.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Apreendendo possibilidades de cuidar

Orientador: Debora Isane Ratner KirschbaumDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Ciências MédicasResumo: Este estudo tem como objetivo apreender as possibilidades de cuidado de enfermagem oferecido a um paciente psicótico que considerem a estrutura clínica do sujeito e a relação que se desenvolve entre enfermeiro, paciente, família e instituição. Para realizá-lo optou-se por desenvolver uma investigação de cunho qualitativo. O referencial teórico-metodológico escolhido foi o psicanalítico, tendo em Freud (1856-1939) e Lacan (1901-1981) os pressupostos teóricos que favoreceram delimitar o objeto deste estudo. A técnica utilizada para a análise dos resultados foi a da construção de caso clínico em psicanálise desenvolvida por FÉDIDA (1991), técnica essa própria ao referencial teórico escolhido. A partir da construção do caso clínico, observou-se a necessidade de explicitar alguns conceitos que fundamentam o referencial teórico utilizado, pois se entendeu que este esclarecimento sobre as concepções de sujeito, tratamento, sintoma, transferência, inconsciente e estrutura clínica subsidiariam a construção de um cuidado de enfermagem possível. Finalmente, apreendemos que o cuidado de enfermagem destinado a um paciente psicótico construído a partir da perspectiva da psicanálise deve ser elaborado com a participação efetiva do paciente, considerando para tanto seu discurso, escutando-o em sua positividade. Pois só a fala do paciente é que poderá revelar sua estrutura clínica. Cuidar, então, adquire um novo significado, ou seja: torna-se cuidar da relação transferencial, cuidar dos significantes, cuidar da posição que estabelecemos para nós, enfermeiros, e para o paciente e principalmente cuidar em não se esquecer de que o saber inconsciente se caracteriza pelo desconhecimentoAbstract: The present survey wich aims at grasping the possibilities of nursing care available for a psychotic patient which will take the individual¿s clinical structurc ints account, as well as the relationship as diveloped among nurse, patient, family and te institution. In order to achieve this purpose it was decided to develop a quality characteristc. The chosen methodological theoretical reference was the psychoanalytical, having Freud (1856-1939) and Lacan (1901-1981) the pressuposed theoreticians who aied at bounding the purpose of the present survey. The technique used for the result analysis was the making of the clinical case in psychoanalysis, (FÉDIDA, 1991) which is a proper tecnique of the chosen theoretical reference, viz., psychoanalysis. Práticas de inclusão de alunos com perturbação do espectro do autismo no 1º Ciclo

Dissertação apresentada à Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa para obtenção de grau de mestre em Ciências da Educação, especialidade Educação Especial – Problemas Cognitivos e MultideficiênciaCom a publicação do decreto-lei nº3/2008, de 7 de janeiro surgiu a possibilidade de os alunos com perturbação do espectro do autismo serem educados nas escolas, criando-se, para tanto, unidades de ensino estruturado, que apoiam a sua inclusão. Esta envolve necessariamente a participação dos professores e, nessa medida com o presente estudo procurou-se conhecer e identificar: i) a opinião de professores do 1º ciclo sobre a inclusão dos alunos com PEA e sobre as Unidades de Ensino Estruturado; ii) as práticas desenvolvidas no sentido da inclusão destes alunos na sala de aula; iii) as dificuldades sentidas na prática pedagógica; e iv) a importância atribuída à formação contínua. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, de natureza qualitativa, que envolveu três professores do 1º ciclo do ensino básico de um agrupamento, que integram nas suas turmas alunos com perturbação do espectro do autismo. Em termos de metodologia, as técnicas de recolha de dados privilegiadas foram a entrevista e a realização de observações naturalistas nas salas de aula. Os resultados sugerem que os professores aceitam a inclusão, e que, para esta aceitação em muito contribui a existência na escola de uma unidade de ensino estruturado, com os necessários recursos físicos e humanos. Em termos de inclusão foi possível constatar a existência de diferentes processos e percursos, que dependem não apenas do grau de severidade da perturbação, mas também dos recursos humanos existentes. As dificuldades dos docentes decorrem sobretudo do receio que sentem perante os comportamentos dos alunos, e da falta de conhecimento sobre as formas de intervenção, sendo nestes aspetos que se evidenciam as necessidades de formação contínua. A unidade de ensino estruturado, ao assumir a responsabilidade de organizar e planificar todo o processo educativo, não implicando os professores do ensino regular, torna-se mais uma sala dentro da escola, podendo, paradoxalmente, inibir a desejada mudança de atitudes e práticas dos docentes. - Abstract With the publication of the decreet-low nº3/2008, on the 7 January, it has emerged the possibility for children with autism spectrum disorders be educated in the regular schools, purposely, units of structured teaching were established is support of their inclusion. This requiring the teachers diligence and, only them, by using the present studies, it was feasible to discover and to identify: i) the opinion of the primary education teachers, concerning the inclusion of pupils with autism spectrum disorders and about the units of structured teaching; ii) the practices developed in order to take concerning the inclusion of this students in the classroom; iii) the difficulties felt on the pedagogical practice; and iv) the importance assigned to permanent formation. This is all about an exploratory searching of a qualitative nature, involving three primary education teachers within a group in school that welcomes is their classes pupils with autism spectrum disorders. Regarding the methodology, the privileged techniques of collecting results were the interviews and the realization of naturalistic observations in the classrooms. The results suggested that the teachers accept the inclusion and for that become successful, is very important to have a structured teaching unit at the school, with the necessary physical and human resources. Regarding the inclusion, it was possible to find the existence of different procedures and ways, depending not only on level of the disorders, but also on the existent human resources. The teachers’ difficulties occur mainly when confronted with the pupil’s behavior and the lacking in knowledge as how to intervene, being these what evidence the needs for permanent training. The structured teaching unit when assuming task of organizing and planning the whole educational process without involving the teachers of the regular teaching, for it becomes another classroom within the same school, which could, paradoxically, obstruct the expected change in the teachers’ attitudes and practices

Avaliação da Sustentação da metodologia Lean numa organização: caso de estudo na EDP produção

Nos dias de hoje, são cada vez mais as organizações que procuram ser reconhecidas no mercado pela qualidade, pela eficiência e pela resposta rápida às mudanças sentidas. Neste contexto surgem muitos paradigmas e métodos de gestão que pretendem fazer face aos fatores externos que tornam os mercados tão voláteis. Dentre várias, destaca-se o Lean como forma de gestão, que advoga práticas e conceitos de melhoria contínua e redução de desperdícios em toda a cadeia de valor, visando sempre a satisfação do consumidor. Considerada uma forma de pensar, desenvolve as pessoas através da criação de uma cultura onde todos são encorajados a usar o pensamento, conhecimento e capacidades adquiridas para resolver problemas e melhorar continuamente. Mas apesar de o Lean ter surgido na indústria automóvel e ser passível de aplicar em todas as indústrias e serviços, não é uma mudança simples. Para tal, deve existir um sentido forte de liderança desde a gestão de topo até ao fim da estrutura hierárquica. Associada à implementação desta metodologia numa organização, surge também a necessidade de avaliar o desempenho destas nas organizações. Nesta ótica, são vários os modelos de avaliação desenvolvidos sendo que um dos mais reconhecidos é o Modelo de Shingo, criado pela Utah State University, que todos os anos atribui prémios a organizações que se queiram submeter a uma avaliação que reflita a adequação da organização à metodologia. No âmbito do tema e objetivos propostos pela organização que serviu de caso de estudo, foi então proposto e desenvolvido um Modelo de Avaliação da Sustentação da Metodologia Lean. O modelo teve como base princípios do Modelo de Shingo, tendo como objetivo identificar o estado do Lean implementado numa organização e de que forma este está intrínseco à gestão, baseando-se na perceção interna da organização e a perceção externa da entidade que o aplica, tendo sempre presente a visão do Lean enquanto metodologia de gestão. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram ser coerentes com as características da implementação da metodologia numa organização, confirmando mais uma vez, a importância da compreensão dos princípios da metodologia a par com a aplicação das ferramentas de apoio, de modo a alcançar uma implementação de sucesso. Foi também notável, o impacto que a liderança e o alinhamento numa organização têm numa transformação cultural desta dimensão. Apesar de a organização ter demonstrado um nível bom de adequação à metodologia, ainda tem um caminho a percorrer no sentido de tornar o Lean incorporado à cultura organizacional. Com o presente estudo é possível concluir que o Modelo de Avaliação proposto, é uma ferramenta útil no diagnóstico à implementação e na tomada de decisões no âmbito da sustentação da metodologia

O professor/educador como gestor da autoridade e dos afetos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem

Relatório de estágio apresentado à Escola Superior de Educação de Santarém para obtenção do grau de mestre em Educação pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º ciclo do ensino básicoO presente trabalho pretende dar a conhecer as experiências vivenciadas nos vários contextos de estágio (Jardim-de-Infância e 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico), assim como as aprendizagens mais significativas que nestes realizei como futura profissional de ensino. Como é habitual da prática docente, várias questões vão surgindo ao longo do tempo de acordo com as situações vivenciadas. Assim sendo, uma das questões que me suscitou curiosidade foi saber como conciliar dois aspetos que considero fundamentais no processo de ensino-aprendizagem: o afeto e a autoridade. Neste sentido foi efetuada uma pesquisa em que através da utilização de entrevistas semiestruturadas a crianças e docentes do Jardim-de-Infância e 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, procurei estudar: 1) A visão dos alunos acerca do professor tendo em conta as dimensões afetiva e autoritária do seu desempenho. 2) O papel que o professor/educador tem e/ou deve ter como gestor da autoridade e do afeto dentro da sala de aula. A análise dos dados foi efetuada através da técnica de análise de conteúdo. Como principais conclusões do estudo efetuado, é possível afirmar que os alunos dão tanta importância ao professor como figura de autoridade como ao professor como figura de afeto, revelando que estes dois papéis são necessários no seu processo de aprendizagem. Também os adultos entrevistados revelaram que é necessário desenvolver um trabalho que exija responsabilidade e respeito, defendendo que tanto os afetos como as regras são necessários no processo de ensino-aprendizagem das crianças, como alunos e cidadãos.This paper aims to present the experiences in a variety of stage contexts (Childhood Garden and 1st cycle basic education), as well as more meaningful learning that realized as a future teaching professional. In usual teaching practice, several questions arise over time according to the situations experienced. Therefore, one of the issues I raised curiosity was how to reconcile two fundamental aspects to be considered in the process of teaching and learning: the affection and authority. In this direction was made a survey in which through the use of semi-structured interviews with children and teachers from the Childhood Garden and 1st Cycle Basic Education, I’ve tried to study student’s behavior towards teaching: 1) Taking in account the dimensions of affection and authority issues in their performance. 2) The role that teacher/educator must and/or should have as manager of authority and affection within the classroom. Data analysis was performed using the technique of content analysis. In main conclusion of the studies conducted, it was clear that students give as much importance to teacher’s authority figure as to teacher affection figure, revealing that these two roles are needed in their learning process. Also the adults surveyed revealed that teacher’s authority and affection figure are necessary to develop processes that requires responsibility and respect; arguing that we need both teaching and learning processes in order to achieve children, students and citizens proficiency
