The present paper tries to locate itself, in certain way, the interstice of these three declarations of Foucault about its relation with the analytical philosophy. This vein of reading barely has been explored in Spain. They do not lack reasons for it. In the Spanish reception of the works of Foucault an implicit pact has existed to exclude all approach between the archaeological-genealogical explorations and the tradition from the philosophical analysis.El presente trabajo trata de emplazarse, en cierto modo, en el intersticio de estas tres declaraciones de Foucault acerca de su relación con la filosofía analítica. Esta veta de lectura ha sido escasamente explorada en España. No faltan razones para ello. Georges Canguilhem y la biopolítica de las discapacidades.

In this article, we confront the thought of Georges Canguilhem (1904-1995) with the biopolitical problem of disabilities. Disability is an emerging field of political activism and research, embodied respectively in the Disability Right Movement and the Disability Studies. In this field, there are two rivals competing models of analysis: the biomedical model and the social model. It is shown that the work of Canguilhem provides conceptual tools to overcome this dichotomy. Transición política y transición filosófica en la España contemporánea: un enfoque sociofilosófico

En este artículo se presentan las líneas maestras de un proyecto de investigación que pretende analizar y explicar el proceso de “transición” que afectó al campo filosófico español entre 1960 y 1990. La metodología utilizada se apoya en el enfoque “sociofilosófico”, ensayado en otros países pero apenas aplicado en España. Por una parte se indican las condiciones externas que hicieron posible el proceso, afectando principalmente al campo educativo y al campo religioso. En segundo lugar se indican cuáles fueron las redes y los grupos implicados en esta importante transformación

Rituales de interacción y especies de capital en el neonietzscheanismo español (1968-1976)

In the first part of this paper, we present a general approach to the Sociology of the Spanish «Neonietzscheanism». We take this intellectual movement as a «philosophical fact» (Martin Kustch), embedded in the Spanish philosophical field of the seventies. In the second part, we use the «interaction ritual chains» (Randall Collins) in order to explain the philosophical recognition of Eugenio Trías. Filosofía híbrida y vitalismo racional en Canguilhem y Ortega y Gasset

This paper explores the problem of the synthesis between vitalism and rationalism, in contemporary philosophy. With this aim, we compare the intellectual careers of Georges Canguilhem (1904-1995) and José Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955). We contrast their conceptions of philosophy as “hybrid” knowledge, closely related to science, as well as their points of view on Vitalism, anthropology, the technique and the perspectivism. To avoid that comparison is purely abstract and ahistorical, we use the method of the sociology of philosophy. This forces us to locate both paths in their respective philosophical fields and generational units, also according to his social background and professional career

Canguilhem, Foucault y la ontología política del vitalismo

In this paper we defend the thesis that the notion of life, in Foucault’s work, is not only the historical correlate of power and knowledge practices. Foucault argues a Vitalist ontological position, however intermittent and not at all explicit. The source of this philosophical choice in Foucault is not Nietzsche or Deleuze, but it coincides in many respects with the non-essentialist Vitalism of Georges Canguilhem. First, we compare Canguilhem and Foucault’s relation to the Kantian tradition, in its critical and transcendental aspects. Secondly, we confront the notion of life on the philosophical proposals of Canguilhem and Foucault. Finally we analyze the canguilhemian origin of the normalization foucauldian concept. This affiliation also regards the concept of biopolitics, referred to a power that acts on life, imitating its operation. This rooting of the thought of Foucault in the Vitalism of his master resolves two internal tensions in the path of the first: the justification of movements of revolt and self-formative character of subjectivity.En este artículo se defiende la tesis de que la noción de vida, en la obra de Foucault, no es sólo el correlato de prácticas históricas de poder y saber. Foucault sostiene una ontología vitalista, intermitente y no del todo explícita. La fuente de esta opción filosófica en Foucault no es nietzscheana ni deleuziana, sino que coincide en muchos aspectos con el vitalismo no esencialista de Georges Canguilhem. En primer lugar comparamos la relación de Canguilhem y de Foucault con la tradición kantiana, en su vertiente crítica y trascendental. En segundo lugar, comparamos la noción de vida en las propuestas filosóficas de Canguilhem y Foucault. Por último analizamos la procedencia canguilhemiana del concepto foucaultiano de normalización. Esta filiación se advierte también en el concepto de biopolítica, referido a un poder que actúa sobre la vida, imitando su funcionamiento. Este arraigo del pensamiento de Foucault en el vitalismo de su maestro permite resolver dos tensiones internas en la trayectoria del primero: la justificación de los movimientos de revuelta y el carácter autoformativo de la subjetividad
