    Durante anos a prematuridade tem se tornado um grande desafio dentro das Unidades de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal (UTIN), pois afeta o desenvolvimento e crescimento dos recém-nascidos (RN) decorrendo de deficiências que começariam a assumir funções normais para sua idade. A estimulação precoce tem como objetivo, devolver ao RN, seu desenvolvimento perfeito ou chegar o mais próximo da normalidade, utilizando condutas especificas, pois logo após o nascimento o cérebro apresenta uma intensa neuroplasticidade. A estimulação tátil-cinestésica proporciona ao RNPTBP, ganho de peso diário e redução do tempo de internação, pois para o recém-nascido a estimulação tátil nos seus primeiros dias de vida é maior do que qualquer outro estímulo sensorial. O objetivo do presente trabalho, foi analisar os efeitos da técnica de estimulação tátil-cinestésica com os efeitos da estimulação vestibular no recém-nascido pré-termo de baixo peso, para fazer uma comparação sobre qual será a melhor para ser aplicada no RNPTBP dentro da UTIN. Este estudo foi realizado de acordo com as recomendações dos relatórios de análises sistemáticas e metanálises (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta- analyses PRISMA). Foram realizadas buscas nas seguintes bases de dados: LiLASC, SCOPUS, PUBMED, PEDro, MEDLINE, Web of Science; Cochrane Libary e Google Scholar. Os períodos abrangidos da pesquisa foram a partir do ano de 2.015 até o ano de 2020. Com base nas análises realizadas neste presente estudo é incontestável que a assistência à neonatos devem ser realizada de forma criteriosa e atenta as necessidades individuais de cada um, pois se essa assistência for prestada de forma inadequada, omissa, e deficiente ao recém-nascido, principalmente em condição prematura e de baixo peso, devido ao seu alto grau de vulnerabilidade, poderá acarretar sérias consequências em seu desenvolvimento que influenciará, por toda a sua vida

    Biodiversity loss is one of the main challenges of our time,1,2 and attempts to address it require a clear un derstanding of how ecological communities respond to environmental change across time and space.3,4 While the increasing availability of global databases on ecological communities has advanced our knowledge of biodiversity sensitivity to environmental changes,5–7 vast areas of the tropics remain understudied.8–11 In the American tropics, Amazonia stands out as the world’s most diverse rainforest and the primary source of Neotropical biodiversity,12 but it remains among the least known forests in America and is often underrepre sented in biodiversity databases.13–15 To worsen this situation, human-induced modifications16,17 may elim inate pieces of the Amazon’s biodiversity puzzle before we can use them to understand how ecological com munities are responding. To increase generalization and applicability of biodiversity knowledge,18,19 it is thus crucial to reduce biases in ecological research, particularly in regions projected to face the most pronounced environmental changes. We integrate ecological community metadata of 7,694 sampling sites for multiple or ganism groups in a machine learning model framework to map the research probability across the Brazilian Amazonia, while identifying the region’s vulnerability to environmental change. 15%–18% of the most ne glected areas in ecological research are expected to experience severe climate or land use changes by 2050.     Aspectos anatomopatológicos das neoplasias malignas renais: Anatomopathological aspects of malignant renal neoplasms

    As neoplasias renais correspondem ao crescimento exacerbado de células tumorais no interior dos rins, classificadas como benignas ou malignas. Neste estudo será abordado sobre as neoplasias malignas renais, a qual correspondem a maior prevalência e são representadas pelo carcinoma de células renais e o tumor de Wilms, com a finalidade de descrever a respeito dos aspectos anatomopatológicos, disseminando informações para o diagnóstico e manejo precoce. O carcinoma de células renais é mais prevalente no sexo masculino, indivíduos mais velhos, geralmente assintomático, contribuindo para o diagnóstico tardio junto a existência de metástases e terapêutica irresponsiva. Não se trata de uma doença genética, sendo o caráter esporádico o predominante, neste contexto os fatores de risco, sobretudo o tabagismo em seguida de obesidade hemodiálise e doenças genéticas são potenciais desencadeantes da enfermidade. Os exames complementares associado a clínica, junto ao acompanhamento eleva a possibilidade de identificação antes de avanços metastáticos. O tumor de Wilms é típico de crianças, acometendo um ou ambos os rins, normalmente com alguma anomalia genética, sendo os sinais inespecíficos, mas sempre manifestando massa palpável e dor abdominal, a qual os métodos de imagem confirmam o diagnóstico e estimam o prognóstico deste. Neste contexto, elucida-se a transcendência que os aspectos anatomopatológicos das neoplasias malignas renais oferecem para a diagnose precoce, devido a escassez e inespecificidafe das manifestações clínicas. Logo, a junção do perfil de cada neoplasia abordado conduz ao manejo adequado e reduz a incidência de tratamentos agressivos e irresponsivos

    ATLANTIC EPIPHYTES: a data set of vascular and non-vascular epiphyte plants and lichens from the Atlantic Forest

    Epiphytes are hyper-diverse and one of the frequently undervalued life forms in plant surveys and biodiversity inventories. Epiphytes of the Atlantic Forest, one of the most endangered ecosystems in the world, have high endemism and radiated recently in the Pliocene. We aimed to (1) compile an extensive Atlantic Forest data set on vascular, non-vascular plants (including hemiepiphytes), and lichen epiphyte species occurrence and abundance; (2) describe the epiphyte distribution in the Atlantic Forest, in order to indicate future sampling efforts. Our work presents the first epiphyte data set with information on abundance and occurrence of epiphyte phorophyte species. All data compiled here come from three main sources provided by the authors: published sources (comprising peer-reviewed articles, books, and theses), unpublished data, and herbarium data. We compiled a data set composed of 2,095 species, from 89,270 holo/hemiepiphyte records, in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, recorded from 1824 to early 2018. Most of the records were from qualitative data (occurrence only, 88%), well distributed throughout the Atlantic Forest. For quantitative records, the most common sampling method was individual trees (71%), followed by plot sampling (19%), and transect sampling (10%). Angiosperms (81%) were the most frequently registered group, and Bromeliaceae and Orchidaceae were the families with the greatest number of records (27,272 and 21,945, respectively). Ferns and Lycophytes presented fewer records than Angiosperms, and Polypodiaceae were the most recorded family, and more concentrated in the Southern and Southeastern regions. Data on non-vascular plants and lichens were scarce, with a few disjunct records concentrated in the Northeastern region of the Atlantic Forest. For all non-vascular plant records, Lejeuneaceae, a family of liverworts, was the most recorded family. We hope that our effort to organize scattered epiphyte data help advance the knowledge of epiphyte ecology, as well as our understanding of macroecological and biogeographical patterns in the Atlantic Forest.     Vaginal Microbiome Characterization of Nellore Cattle Using Metagenomic Analysis

    <div><p>Understanding of microbial communities inhabiting cattle vaginal tract may lead to a better comprehension of bovine physiology and reproductive health being of great economic interest. Up to date, studies involving cattle microbiota are focused on the gastrointestinal tract, and little is known about the vaginal microbiota. This study aimed to investigate the vaginal microbiome in Nellore cattle, heifers and cows, pregnant and non-pregnant, using a culture independent approach. The main bacterial phyla found were <i>Firmicutes</i> (~40–50%), <i>Bacteroidetes</i> (~15–25%) and <i>Proteobacteria</i> (~5–25%), in addition to ~10–20% of non-classified bacteria. 45–55% of the samples were represented by only ten OTUs: <i>Aeribacillus</i>, <i>Bacteroides</i>, <i>Clostridium</i>, <i>Ruminococcus</i>, <i>Rikenella</i>, <i>Alistipes</i>, <i>Bacillus</i>, <i>Eubacterium</i>, <i>Prevotella</i> and non-classified bacteria. Interestingly, microbiota from all 20 animals could be grouped according to the respiratory metabolism of the main OTUs found, creating three groups of vaginal microbiota in cattle. Archaeal samples were dominated by the <i>Methanobrevibacter</i> genus (<i>Euryarchaeota</i>, ~55–70%). <i>Ascomycota</i> was the main fungal phylum (~80–95%) and <i>Mycosphaerella</i> the most abundant genus (~70–85%). Hormonal influence was not clear, but a tendency for the reduction of bacterial and increase of archaeal populations in pregnant animals was observed. Eukaryotes did not vary significantly between pregnant and non-pregnant animals, but tended to be more abundant on cows than on heifers. The present work describes a great microbial variability in the vaginal community among the evaluated animals and groups (heifers and cows, pregnant and non-pregnant), which is significantly different from the findings previously reported using culture dependent methods, pointing out the need for further studies on this issue. The microbiome found also indicates that the vaginal colonization appears to be influenced by the gastrointestinal community.</p></div
