Założenia metafizyczne w programie pozytywizmu logicznego

In the present study I analyzed some aspects of the program of logical empiricism. I devoted particular attention to issues such as demarcation criterion, protocol sentence or logical syntax. These issues have been considered mainly through the prism of the work of Rudolf Carnap, while the contribution of other representatives of the Vienna Circle was rather kind of argumentative background. Mentioned philosophical trend had to stand in the closest possible touch with science. Therefore, fundamentally discredited metaphysical issues as meaningless. According to the author, such a radical distinction between sense and nonsense is unauthorized. Key neo-positivist postulates themselves are based on certain metaphysical assumptions

Kolář’s plays Chléb náš vezdejší and Mor v Athénách, written at the turn of the fifties and the sixties, are the examples of aestheticization of testimonies and other texts about the Shoah. Kolář’s creative path is in a way pars pro toto of artistic and literary search of many authors reacting to the experience of Shoah and to many texts describing this hecatomb. Doubt in the previous aesthetics and in the polyphonic load of words is one of the most common experiences in the second half of the 20th century – until now. The author activates memory or cultural connotations of receiver and by eliminating a factual layer that could became a psychological safety valve that distracts, focuses a viewer (reader) on the most important and by it the most difficult to bear: to the event itself.Kolář’s plays Chléb náš vezdejší and Mor v Athénách, written at the turn of the fifties and the sixties, are the examples of aestheticization of testimonies and other texts about the Shoah. The paper aims to present pulp as one of the main genres of contemporary Italian literature. This extreme kind of noir was born in the 1990s and immediately gained popularity among readers and caused controversy amid critics: from high and flattering opinions to complete rejection. The author examines the origin of the genre and the story of its development in Italy. She also describes the distinctive qualities of this kind of literature such as dark topics, eclectic form and mixture of languages. In addition, the paper shows various visions of pulp represented by different groups of authors: a serious and uncompromising or a light and amusing way of depicting the violence, inherited from Quentin Tarantino. The paper aims to present pulp as one of the main genres of contemporary Italian literature. In matters of taste, there can be no disputes. Elements of Camp in Fráňa Šrámek’s play »Léto«

In this sketch I am going to focus on the presence of elements of Camp aesthetics in the Fráňa Šrámek’s drama Léto, written and staged in 1915. Dandyism became popular at the turn of the 19th and 20th century in Czech culture and it would be the most crucial reference point to the Campy attitude. As a „local text” of the Czech decadentism, it took a place of bohemianism. In this sketch I understand Camp as a type of aesthetic avant-garde sensu largo, based on democratic tendency and on a fight against the given taste, analogues in many regards to the phenomenon it is against

Language and education policy as one of the main challenges of migrant integration in Poland

    Get PDF
This article aims to map current state policy and governmental responses to migrant integration in Poland, as well as to identify pressing needs and key challenges in this area, with a particular focus on language and education. It draws on a literature review and analysis of legal documents and reports on migrant integration and language policy for 1989–2020. When analysing the data, particular attention was paid to the declared state policy on migrant integration and its actual implementation, as captured in the Supreme Audit Office (NIK 2015, 2020) and Migrant Integration Policy Index reports (MIPEX 2015, 2020). The research shows that the scope of integration activities and their effects have been unsatisfactory to date. The situation of migrants in Poland was dubbed “equality on paper” in the MIPEX 2020 report. Current programmes and activities are not fostering full integration of migrants. Apart from housing and employment issues, a lack of language skills and education that is not responsive to the needs of migrants remain the main barriers to migrant integration in Poland
