Gauged Kaluza-Klein AdS Pseudo-supergravity
We obtain the pseudo-supergravity extension of the D-dimensional Kaluza-Klein
theory, which is the circle reduction of pure gravity in D+1 dimensions. The
fermionic partners are pseudo-gravitino and pseudo-dilatino. The full
Lagrangian is invariant under the pseudo-supersymmetric transformation, up to
quadratic order in fermion fields. We find that the theory possesses a U(1)
global symmetry that can be gauged so that all the fermions are charged under
the Kaluza-Klein vector. The gauging process generates a scalar potential that
has a maximum, leading to the AdS vacuum. Whist the highest dimension for
gauged AdS supergravity is seven, our gauged AdS pseudo-supergravities can
exist in arbitrary dimensions.Comment: Latex, 13 pages, typos corrected, version in PL
Some Spacetimes with Higher Rank Killing-Stackel Tensors
By applying the lightlike Eisenhart lift to several known examples of
low-dimensional integrable systems admitting integrals of motion of
higher-order in momenta, we obtain four- and higher-dimensional Lorentzian
spacetimes with irreducible higher-rank Killing tensors. Such metrics, we
believe, are first examples of spacetimes admitting higher-rank Killing
tensors. Included in our examples is a four-dimensional supersymmetric pp-wave
spacetime, whose geodesic flow is superintegrable. The Killing tensors satisfy
a non-trivial Poisson-Schouten-Nijenhuis algebra. We discuss the extension to
the quantum regime
Supersymmetric solutions to gauged N=2 d=4 sugra: the full timelike shebang
We discuss the structure of supersymmetric solutions in the timelike case to
general gauged N=2 d=4 supergravity theories coupled to non-Abelian vector
multiplets and hypermultiplets.Comment: 28 pages, no figure
Non-Abelian T-duality and the AdS/CFT correspondence: New N=1 backgrounds
We consider non-Abelian T-duality on N=1 supergravity backgrounds possessing
well understood field theory duals. For the case of D3-branes at the tip of the
conifold, we dualise along an SU(2) isometry. The result is a type-IIA geometry
whose lift to M-theory is of the type recently proposed by Bah et. al. as the
dual to certain N=1 SCFT quivers produced by M5-branes wrapping a Riemann
surface. In the non-conformal cases we find smooth duals in massive IIA
supergravity with a Romans mass naturally quantised. We initiate the
interpretation of these geometries in the context of the AdS/CFT
correspondence. We show that the central charge and the entanglement entropy
are left invariant by this dualisation. The backgrounds suggest a form of
Seiberg duality in the dual field theories which also exhibit domain walls and
confinement in the infrared.Comment: 91 pages, 1 figure. Late
