Impact of the Information and Communication Technologies on the Education of Students with Down Syndrome: a Bibliometric Study (2008- 2018)

This article analyzes the impact of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on students with Down syndrome through the consult of scientific articles published during the 2008 to 2018 period, in five scientific journal databases utilized in the academic world. Through a descriptive and quantitative methodology, the most significant bibliometric data according to citation index is shown. Likewise, a methodology based on the analysis of co-words and clustering techniques is applied through a bibliometric maps, in order to determine the fields of scientific study. The results show that articles published have a medium-low index of impact. There are linked with the importance of using ICT with these students, from educational inclusion and accessibility perspective

Re/pensar las Producciones Narrativas como propuesta metodológica feminista : experiencias de investigación en torno al amor romántico

A partir de nuestro quehacer en una investigación sobre las experiencias y comprensiones en torno al amor romántico en mujeres jóvenes feministas realizada con Producciones Narrativas, en este artículo sistematizamos algunas de las reflexiones metodológicas que nos hemos venido planteando a lo largo de este proceso. En una primera parte contextualizamos la investigación de la que parten estos cuestionamientos, ilustrando tanto aspectos relativos a la temática de estudio como al diseño metodológico. A continuación profundizamos sobre cuatro aspectos que han sido objeto de interés tanto en los debates sobre epistemologías feministas como en nuestro propio proceso de investigación: 1) reflexividad, 2) articulación, 3) relaciones de poder y 4) transformación social. Por cada uno de ellos, valoramos las potencialidades y límites que encontramos en la metodología de Producciones Narrativas, ilustrando algunas de las tensiones concretas que nos encontramos en nuestra práctica de investigación.Drawing from our experience in a research project about young feminist women meanings and experiences on romantic love conducted with Narrative Productions, our aim in this article is to summarize some methodological considerations held on the process. First, we contextualize the research project where these questions emerge, considering aspects related to the topic of study and the methodological design. Secondly, we deepen over four elements that are key for both feminist epistemological discussion and our own research process: 1) reflexivity, 2) articulation, 3) power relationships and 4) social transformation. For each of them, we assess potentialities and boundaries in Narrative Production methodology, illustrating some specific tensions we found in our research practice

Are primary education teachers trained for the use of the technology with disabled students?

Incorporating information and communication technology (ICT) in inclusive class‑ rooms requires competent teachers, both technological and pedagogical. To contrast these theoretical assumptions, this study aims to identify the level of training and technical knowledge of primary school teachers in Spain regarding the use of ICTs for supporting students with special needs. The research methodology used was a mixed research design (quantitative and qualitative method), analysing 777 questionnaires supplied to primary school teachers and 723 interviews conducted with key inform‑ ants (members of management teams, ICT coordinators, directors and technological advisors of teacher training centres). The results informed teachers’ knowledge about ICT and disability and barriers or obstacles to their training. Among the conclusions, teachers’ inadequate training regarding ICTs for students with special needs stands out and the lack of training experiences in this feld

Use of Augmented Reality for Students with Educational Needs: A Systematic Review (2016–2021)

In recent years, interest in applying Augmented Reality technology as a teaching/learning resource in education has increased. However, few studies focus on the possibilities and challenges of these tools to support learners with educational needs. In this review, we aggregate the current knowledge of how Augmented Reality technologies are applicable and their impact on the learning of students with educational needs considering the above-mentioned factors. In total, 18 studies indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases were analysed. Percepciones y perspectivas de desarrollo social - local desde los colaboradores de la Gerencia Regional de Educación de Lambayeque

Esta investigación tuvo por objetivos descubrir las percepciones y perspectivas de desarrollo social-local que tienen los colaboradores de la Gerencia Regional de Educación Lambayeque (GRED) 2017, y elaborar una comprensión sobre desarrollo social y local, a partir de una categorización conceptual, puesto que las comprensiones existentes se focalizan en lo económico. La investigación se inserta en el paradigma humanista con enfoque cualitativo. Los sujetos de estudios fueron los colaboradores de la GRED a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista semiestructurada y participaron en grupos focales. Se concluye que las percepciones de los colaboradores GRED refieren al desarrollo social-local como Progreso integral comunitario, donde lo económico debe estar al servicio del bien común mediante la educación integral, mientras que sus perspectivas de desarrollo social-local se orientan al énfasis a la educación ciudadana y la erradicación de la corrupción

Characterisation of the National Network of Silos and Granaries in Castilla y León, Spain: A Case Study

[EN] In 1995, Spain’s National Network of Silos and Granaries was divided into a basic network and a secondary network. Of the total storage units identified, 541 are vertical units or silos forming part of the secondary network. Unlike the silos of the basic network, many of the secondary network silos, which were primarily reception units sited near the areas where the grain was grown, have been repurposed. This article describes a methodology developed to inventory silos based on their general features, construction and technological facilities, and its application to the 123 silos in the secondary network in the Spanish region of Castilla y León. The exercise was conducted in conjunction with a socioeconomic analysis of the communities where the silos are located. All the silos studied are located in the most productive areas and close to farms, have small storage capacities and include all but one silo typology, the transition macro-silo. Some are still used for grain storage, whilst others have been converted into multi-purpose warehouses, gymnasiums, community centres or other specialised facilities. Ideas for silo repurposing implemented in other regions of Spain and other countries might well be applied in Castilla y León. In addition, this methodology has proved useful to identify proposals that are viable in the more highly populated communities.S

Evaluación del proceso de las competencias específicas de la Licenciatura en Administración Pública:año 2017

El presente trabajo pretende realizar una revisión del plan de estudio de la Licenciatura en Administración Pública en el turno nocturno, específicamente a los estudiantes de IV año. La Facultad de Administración Pública esta integrada por una comunidad de estudiantes docentes y administrativos comprometidos con los desafíos actuales en todas las escalas, donde se desarrollan las funciones de docencia, investigación y extensión apoyados por una gestión administrativa actualizada y eficiente. La licenciatura esta orientada a la formación de profesionales creativos con capacidad y rigurosamente abiertos hacia la búsqueda de lo nuevo e imprevisto, para trabajar de manera organizada en áreas ligadas al ejercicio de la gestión pública, es imperante conocer las competencias específicas adquiridas por los estudiantes a lo largo de la carrera. La evaluación de un programa universitario es una forma de mejorar la calidad educativa y ha sido uno de los temas de debate que aun están presentes más allá de las discrepancias en torno a los resultados la evaluación de los programas educativos, es un método que ha comprobado la efectividad y eficiencia para conocer las fortalezas y áreas de oportunidades, a partir de la vinculación con la universidad así como, con infraestructura e incluso aspectos particulares como el IV desarrollo académico y el de investigación. En Panamá específicamente en la Facultad de Administración Pública, se crean las Comisiones de evaluación para que se encarguen de evaluar los programas académicos (técnico superior universitario, licenciatura y postgrado), mediante metodologías y marcos de evaluación rigurosos con criterios y estándares internacionales semejantes a los de una investigación científica, cuyo fin es lograr la excelencia educativa
