El proyecto “Aplicación de Metodologías Participativas para el estudio de la Comunicación Audiovisual a través del uso de las tecnologías: de las metodologías activas a los aprendizajes colaborativos en Campus UCM” continua la investigación realizada en el curso académico anterior con el proyecto titulado “Aplicación de metodologías activas para el estudio de la Narración Audiovisual. Gamificación y Aula Invertida”y aún anterior con el proyecto con el que iniciábamos esta experiencia en aula, en torno al aprendizaje de la asignatura de Narrativa Audiovisual desde el ámbito del videojuego, todo en el marco de los Proyectos Innova Docencia. En este sentido, este proyecto como los anteriores han tenido como principal objetivo: implementar una metodología docente dinámica tanto dentro como fuera del aula

The wide-field, multiplexed, spectroscopic facility WEAVE : survey design, overview, and simulated implementation
Funding for the WEAVE facility has been provided by UKRI STFC, the University of Oxford, NOVA, NWO, Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), the Isaac Newton Group partners (STFC, NWO, and Spain, led by the IAC), INAF, CNRS-INSU, the Observatoire de Paris, Région Île-de-France, CONCYT through INAOE, Konkoly Observatory (CSFK), Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie (MPIA Heidelberg), Lund University, the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam (AIP), the Swedish Research Council, the European Commission, and the University of Pennsylvania.WEAVE, the new wide-field, massively multiplexed spectroscopic survey facility for the William Herschel Telescope, will see first light in late 2022. WEAVE comprises a new 2-degree field-of-view prime-focus corrector system, a nearly 1000-multiplex fibre positioner, 20 individually deployable 'mini' integral field units (IFUs), and a single large IFU. These fibre systems feed a dual-beam spectrograph covering the wavelength range 366-959 nm at R ∼ 5000, or two shorter ranges at R ∼ 20,000. After summarising the design and implementation of WEAVE and its data systems, we present the organisation, science drivers and design of a five- to seven-year programme of eight individual surveys to: (i) study our Galaxy's origins by completing Gaia's phase-space information, providing metallicities to its limiting magnitude for ∼ 3 million stars and detailed abundances for ∼ 1.5 million brighter field and open-cluster stars; (ii) survey ∼ 0.4 million Galactic-plane OBA stars, young stellar objects and nearby gas to understand the evolution of young stars and their environments; (iii) perform an extensive spectral survey of white dwarfs; (iv) survey ∼ 400 neutral-hydrogen-selected galaxies with the IFUs; (v) study properties and kinematics of stellar populations and ionised gas in z 1 million spectra of LOFAR-selected radio sources; (viii) trace structures using intergalactic/circumgalactic gas at z > 2. Adolescent Students as Media Fictional Characters
Media fictional narrations on adolescents as characters and target are used by teenage audiences when looking for references for their identity building. As a starting point for Media Literacy activities to help teenage students in this process, this research focuses on the representations of adolescent students proposed by different kinds of media fictional narrations. Three European narrations have been chosen in order to analyse and compare different genres, codes and values: the television series «Física o Química» and the films «Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix» and «The Class». A classic narrative analysis approach has been applied in order to encourage teachers to use this kind of Media Literacy activities by employing methodologies that they are familiar with. The results show that such a methodology could facilitate the comparative analysis of important coincidences between these examples (such as the importance of friendship and couple relationships) and also underlines meaningful differences (like the orientation towards the future). The conclusion reached is that the comparison between such different kinds of media fictional narrations is a useful educational tool for improving Media Literacy skills and helping teenage students in the identification of the values and images they really want to choose as reference and inspiration for their own identity building

Sharing art as a daily resistance strategy in Madrid during the 2020 lockdown: 50 days of collective experience at the Plaza de San Bernardo
2023 Descuento MDPIThe manner in which individuals worldwide shared art during the most challenging months of the COVID-19 pandemic stands as one of the most significant instances of creative social resistance in recent history. As a collective tool of resistance against emotional trauma, and as a means to foster a sense of community and well-being, the study of this phenomenon offers a compelling avenue for research into creativity and its social functions. This paper presents a descriptive case study of a successful 50-day collective experience within a neighborhood community in Madrid, Spain, during a period when the city, as a notably exceptional case study for research, bore one of the heaviest burdens of COVID-19 in the world. Data were gathered through in-depth personal interviews and direct observations. Applying a connected approach drawing on the fields of the Sociology of Art and Media Studies, three key findings emerge: (1) participants emphasized shared live artistic performances as the primary catalyst for fostering a sense of community, collective resilience, and overall well-being; (2) their sense of togetherness was further bolstered by digital and media support, as recordings of live performances were shared with loved ones living elsewhere, as well as with journalists and on social networks. Título, resumen y palabras clave también en inglésResumen basado en el de la publicaciónSe pretende conocer cómo analizan la publicidad y el sexismo de sus personajes, en grupos de discusión, los niños y las niñas de 11 a 12 años, utilizando para ello spots que narran situaciones sexistas y utilizan estrategias persuasivas en las que el producto se asocia a la felicidad y a la calidad de las relaciones familiares. Se llevan a cabo seis grupos de discusión, cuyos resultados permiten definir categorías. El nivel de escepticismo que expresan en relación a las técnicas persuasivas se relaciona con su sensibilidad para detectar el sexismo, para la cual parece ser necesario -aunque no suficiente- un determinado nivel de análisis de personajes. Resumen tomado de la publicaciónUso problemático de Internet, perspectiva desadaptativa hacia el futuro y contexto escolar. Antecedentes: España es uno de los países europeos con mayor prevalencia de adolescentes en riesgo de adicción a Internet; problema que cabe relacionar con sus elevadas tasas de desempleo juvenil y abandono escolar prematuro. Esta investigación estudia el papel de tres variables del contexto escolar sobre el Uso Problemático de Internet (PIU), así como sobre la relación entre PIU y la Perspectiva Desadaptativa hacia el Futuro (MFTP, definida como una excesiva centración en el presente y actitud fatalista hacia el futuro, variable que no había sido todavía investigada en relación al PIU de los adolescentes). Método: se ha realizado con 1.288 adolescentes, de 12 a 16 años, de 31 centros de Educación Secundaria de Madrid, España. Resultados: como se esperaba, se encuentra que la MFTP y el tratamiento hostil del profesorado están directamente asociados con un aumento de PIU, mientras que la valoración de la escuela está asociada con un descenso de PIU. Además, el tratamiento hostil del profesorado tiene efecto de moderación en la relación entre MFTP-PIU. Conclusiones: para prevenir PIU es importante fortalecer la confianza de los adolescentes en su poder para construir el futuro desde el presente, a través de una adecuada interacción con el profesorado que ayude a incrementar la valoración de la escuela desde la cultura del grupo de iguales de los nativos digitales.Universidad de Oviedo.
