Objective. To improve treatment outcomes in patients with sciatic nerve neuropathy. Material and methods. The first results of endoscopic sciatic nerve decompression in 6 patients with sciatic neuropathy (mean age 47±6.7 years) are presented. The authors developed and described new and unique technique for this procedure. All patients suffered severe neuropathic pain syndrome with neurologic disorders. All patients underwent endoscopic sciatic nerve decompression in prone position. Results. Mean VAS score of preoperative pain syndrome was 7.8±0.37. In 3 months after surgery, this value decreased up to 1.5 scores. Complete regression of pain syndrome and significant reduction of neurologic symptoms were noted in 5 out of 6 patients (83%). Conclusion. Primary data characterize the developed method as an easy, minimally invasive and effective procedure for pain relief and fast recovery of lower extremity function in these patients. © 2021, Media Sphera Publishing Group. Arthroscopic transcapsular neurolysis of the axillary nerve (clinical case) [арТроскопический ТранскапсулЯрный невролиз подмышечного нерва (наБлЮдение из пракТики)]

The study objective – to present a clinical case of axillary nerve neurolysis performed through arthroscopic transcap‑ sular access. Clinical case. Patient Ch., 38 years old, received a fracture of the head of the left humerus as a result of a fall 5 months ago. Immediately after the injury, symptoms of axillary nerve damage appeared. Conservative therapy was carried out without positive dynamics. According to ultrasound and electroneuromyography, signs of compression of the axillary nerve were noted without violating its anatomical integrity. The pathological substrate was located in the neck of the humerus, in the “blind” zone of the nerve. The situation was complicated by the progression of the phenomena of ar‑ throsis of the joint with the formation of pain. Performed acroscopic transcapsular neurolysis of the axillary nerve with sanitation of the cavity of the shoulder joint. After 2 months, a visual increase in deltoid muscle volume and range of motion in the shoulder joint was noted. Conclusion. Arthroscopic transcapsular axillary neurolysis is, from our point of view, a promising minimally invasive intervention with the ability to perform simultaneous surgery by a multidisciplinary team. It is necessary to compare the results of the operation with arthroscopic and open access. © 2022 ABC-press Publishing Hous

Evidence for a narrow anti-charmed Baryon state H1.

A narrow resonance in D*−p and invariant mass combinations is observed in inelastic electron–proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 300 GeV and 320 GeV at HERA. The resonance has a mass of 3099±3(stat.)±5(syst.) MeV and a measured Gaussian width of 12±3(stat.) MeV, compatible with the experimental resolution. The resonance is interpreted as an anti-charmed baryon with a minimal constituent quark composition of , together with the charge conjugate

A resonance search has been made in the K(S)(0)p and K-S(0)(p) over bar invariant-mass spectrum measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 121 pb(-1). The search was performed in the central rapidity region of inclusive deep inelastic scattering at an ep centre-of-mass energy of 300-318 GeV for exchanged photon virtuality, Q(2), above 1 GeV2. Recent results from fixed-target experiments give evidence for a narrow baryon resonance decaying to K(+)n and K(S)(0)p, interpreted as a pentaquark. The results presented here support the existence of such state, with a mass of 1521.5 +/- 1.5(stat.)(-1.7)(+2.8)(syst.) MeV and a Gaussian width consistent with the experimental resolution of 2 MeV The signal is visible at high Q(2) and, for Q(2) gt 20 GeV2, contains 221 +/- 48 events. The probability of a similar signal anywhere in the range 1500-1560 MeV arising from fluctuations of the background is below 6 x 10(-5)

Search for pentaquarks decaying to Ξπ in deep inelastic scattering at HERA

A search for pentaquarks decaying to Ξ-π- (Ξ-π+) and corresponding antiparticles has been performed with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The data sample consists of deep inelastic ep scattering events at centre-of-mass energies of 300 and 318 GeV, and corresponds to 121 pb -1 of integrated luminosity. A clear signal for Ξ0(1530) →Ξ-π+ was observed. However, no signal for any new baryonic state was observed at higher masses in either the Ξ-π- or Ξ-π+ channels. The searches in the antiparticle channels were also negative. Upper limits on the ratio of a possible Ξ3/2 - (Ξ3/20) signal to the Ξ0(1530) signal were set in the mass range 1650-2350 MeV. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved
