В работе обосновывается возможность, необходимость и правомерность количественного подхода к анализу деятельности вуза. Показана целесообразность использования для этих целей концентраций теории полезности, в частности аддитивных функций полезности. Сформулированы основные требования, которые необходимо учитывать при конструировании системы количественных показателей
What are Hybrid Development Methods Made Of?
Regardless of company size or industry sector, a majority of project teams and companies use customized processes that combine different development methods-so-called hybrid development methods. Even though such hybrid development methods are highly individualized, a common understanding of how to systematically construct synergetic practices is missing. Based on 1,467 data points from a large-scale online survey among practitioners, we study the current state of practice in process use to answer the question: What are hybrid development methods made of? Our findings reveal that only eight methods and few practices build the core of modern software development. This small set allows for statistically constructing hybrid development methods
Religious Styles Predict Interreligious Prejudice: A Study of German Adolescents with the Religious Schema Scale

International Journal for the Psychology of Religion. 2014;24(2):151-163.Based on a sample of 340 German adolescents age 12 to 25, this article presents an analysis of the effects of religion on two instances of interreligious prejudice: anti-Islamic and anti-Semitic prejudice. Reflecting the emergent interest in implementing a perspective of religious maturity and religious development into research on religion and prejudice, the present study has included the Religious Schema Scale (RSS) which, with its three subscales, Truth of Texts & Teachings (ttt), Fairness, Tolerance & Rational Choice (ftr), and Xenosophia/Interreligious Dialog (xenos), differentiates religious styles. Regression analyses indicate the superior explanatory power of the RSS in comparison to other measures of religiosity. The RSS subscale ttt relates to and predicts anti-Islamic and anti-Semitic prejudice, whereas ftr and xenos relate to and predict disagreement with interreligious prejudice. Results of an analysis of variance using high agreement on ttt, ftr, and xenos for group construction indicate a decrease in interreligious prejudice in relation to religious development
Equation of state and phase transitions in asymmetric nuclear matter
The structure of the 3-dimension pressure-temperature-asymmetry surface of
equilibrium of the asymmetric nuclear matter is studied within the thermal
Thomas-Fermi approximation. Special attention is paid to the difference of the
asymmetry parameter between the boiling sheet and that of the condensation
sheet of the surface of equilibrium. We derive the condition of existence of
the regime of retrograde condensation at the boiling of the asymmetric nuclear
matter. We have performed calculations of the caloric curves in the case of
isobaric heating. We have shown the presence of the plateau region in caloric
curves at the isobaric heating of the asymmetric nuclear matter. The shape of
the caloric curve depends on the pressure and is sensitive to the value of the
asymmetry parameter. We point out that the experimental value of the plateau
temperature T \approx 7 MeV corresponds to the pressure P = 0.01 MeV/fm^3 at

Emission of volatile halogenated compounds, speciation and localization of bromine and iodine in the brown algal genome model Ectocarpus siliculosus
This study explores key features of bromine and iodine metabolism in the filamentous brown alga and genomics model Ectocarpus siliculosus. Both elements are accumulated in Ectocarpus, albeit at much lower concentration factors (2-3 orders of magnitude for iodine, and < 1 order of magnitude for bromine) than e.g. in the kelp Laminaria digitata. Iodide competitively reduces the accumulation of bromide. Both iodide and bromide are accumulated in the cell wall (apoplast) of Ectocarpus, with minor amounts of bromine also detectable in the cytosol. Ectocarpus emits a range of volatile halogenated compounds, the most prominent of which by far is methyl iodide. Interestingly, biosynthesis of this compound cannot be accounted for by vanadium haloperoxidase since the latter have not been found to catalyze direct halogenation of an unactivated methyl group or hydrocarbon so a methyl halide transferase-type production mechanism is proposed
Discovery of tidal tails around the distant globular cluster Palomar 14
We report the detection of a pair of degree-long tidal tails associated with
the globular cluster Palomar 14, using images obtained at the CFHT. We reveal a
power-law departure from a King profile at large distances to the cluster
center. The density map constructed with the optimal matched filter technique
shows a nearly symmetrical and elongated distribution of stars on both sides of
the cluster, forming a S-shape characteristic of mass loss. This evidence may
be the telltale signature of tidal stripping in action. This, together with its
large Galactocentric distance, imposes strong constraints on its orbit and/or
origin: i) it must follow an external orbit confined to the peripheral region
of the Galactic halo and/or ii) it formed in a satellite galaxy later accreted
