    Este trabalho de projeto tem como objetivo fazer uma equity research ao Pestana International Holdings S.P.G.S, S.A. que é uma multinacional portuguesa não cotada em bolsa que tem atividade em várias áreas de negócio, com a finalidade da obtenção do valor do preço alvo para as suas ações. Para a execução da avaliação foi feita uma investigação dos métodos possíveis a utilizar dos quais, o discounted cash flow foi o escolhido sendo a avaliação feita mais detalhadamente com o free cash flow to the firm. Com a avaliação feita foi possível apurar que o Grupo Pestana possui um valor de capital próprio de 1 079 552 031 € e um preço alvo por ação de 4,54 €. Através da análise de sensibilidade observa-se que o valor unitário por ação poderá variar entre um mínimo de 2,78 € e um máximo de 5,66 €.This project work aims to make an equity research to Pestana International Hol-dings S.P.G.S. S.A. which is a Portuguese multinational not listed on the stock exchange that has activity in several business areas, with the purpose of obtaining the target price value for its shares. For the execution of the evaluation, an investigation was made of the possible methods to be used from which, the discounted cash flow was chosen, and the evaluation was made in more detail with the free cash flow to the firm. With the evaluation made it was possible to establish that the Pestana Group has a equity value of 1 079 552 031 € and a target price per share of 4,54 €. Through sensiti-vity analysis, we observed that the unit value or action may vary between a minimum of 2.78 € and a maximum of 5.66 €

    Validation of the competences for the 21st century skill scale in higher education students

    In a global society, the importance of knowledge and assessment of transversal competences emerges to cope with the challenges of contemporary society, from a perspective of development and lifelong learning. Therefore, it is a priority to use assessment tools adapted to different cultures. The main objective of this study is to validate the instrument ‘Multidimensional 21st Century Skills Scale’ for the Portuguese population. The sample was composed of 413 participants of both genders, with a mean age of 24.30 years (standard deviation = 8.69), aged between 18 and 64 years, attending Higher and Vocational Education. The translation and back-translation of the instrument were carried out by experts (researchers and university professors in the areas of psychology, management, and entrepreneurship). The final version of the scale was composed of 30 items and the exploratory analysis identified three dimensions: Knowledge and Entrepreneurial Skills, Career Awareness and Innovation, and Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. These factors were validated by confirmatory analysis.     Nowadays, more and more enterprises realize that one important step to success in their business is to create new and innovative products. Many times the solution to do that is to abandon the idea of an enterprise as an "isolated island", and get collaboration with others: worldwide non-hierarchical networks are characterized by collaboration and non-centralized decision making. This paper proposes a conceptual model common to the entire business network, in a framework that enables the abstraction of individual models at their meta-level and increase language independency and interoperability, keeping all the enterprise software's integrity intact.     Antimicrobial resistance of aerobes and facultative anaerobes isolated from the oral cavity

    OBJECTIVES: This study evaluated the resistance to antimicrobials of aerobes and facultative anaerobes isolated from patients wearing complete dentures, patients with gingivitis and periodontitis, and periodontally health subjects. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Three hundred and four isolates were tested. The minimal inhibitory concentrations of the drugs were evaluated through the agar dilution method using Mueller-Hinton agar. RESULTS: The most active antimicrobial drugs were the carbapenems (meropenem and imipenem), and resistance to these drugs was restrict to 1.6-2.3% of the isolates, as well as ciprofloxacin and rifampin. Microbial resistance to ampicillin, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, cefoxitin, cephalothin, amikacin, chloramphenicol and nalidixic acid was particularly high. In most cases, the resistance to β-lactams was mediated by the production of hydrolytic enzymes, especially in gram-negative enteric rods, while enterococci did not evidence production of these enzymes. The association amoxicillin/clavulanic acid was not effective in 28.3% of the tested isolates. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this investigation confirmed that the oral cavity of patients with periodontitis and gingivitis, and particularly edentulous patients wearing complete dentures could harbor microorganisms with several antimicrobial resistance markers, and these microorganisms are frequently implicated in multiresistant, systemic, oral or nosocomial infections

    Este artigo discute as interações entre fatores climáticos de diferentes escalas espaciais e sua importância como indicador de alterações ambientais e subsídio à definição de unidades climáticas. A área de estudo abrange os limites e interior ao Pq. Nacional da Serra do Cipó em trecho do alto vale do rio Cipó (baixo vale dos rio Mascates e córrego da Serra). A análise apoiou-se em dados oriundos de estações meterológicas (Diamantina, Conceição do Mato Dentro, Sete Lagoas e Belo Horizonte) e produzidos em campo, cujos resultados relacionaram as características de vegetação, topografia e tipos de tempo na organização dos climas e interação entre os diferentes níveis escalares

    O presente artigo analisa a influência da vegetação nas variações de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar em área interior do Pq. Nacional da Serra do Cipó. Os dados foram produzidos continuamente em intervalo horário por períodos de dois a quinze dias consecutivos, entre os anos de 2012 e 2016. A análise considerou a relação dos dados mensurados com as características físicas do ambiente (relevo e vegetação) sob condições atmosféricas diferenciadas e os resultados mostraram grau diferenciado de comprometimento com fatores naturais.

    The species formerly recognized as Teucrium scorodonia in Madeira is here described as new: Teucrium francoi M. Seq., Capelo, J.C. Costa & R. Jardim. Morphologically close to species of Teucrium gr. scorodonia [T. scorodonia L., T. pseudoscorodonia Desf., T. siculum (Raf.) Guss. and T. kotschyanum Poech], it exhibits, nonetheless, some distinct diagnostic characters. The indumentum density and type of hairs of T. francoi are clearly distinct from those of related species, as are the shape and dimensions of the leaves and bracts, calyx, and corolla, which are all taken as taxonomically significant diagnostic features. A diagnosis and a distribution map are presented for this new species. Morphology, ecology, biogeography, and conservation issues are discussed. Teucrium francoi, which is an endemic from Madeira (Portugal), is to be found mostly in the scope of the association Teucrio francoi– Origanetum virentis J.C. Costa, Capelo, Jardim, Sequeira, Lousã & Rivas-Martínez, but also occurs in somewhat humid habitats, such as open stands of Rosa mandonii Déségl. associated with small stream

    For many years, the use of preterite tense in the teaching of verbs in Portuguese language classes has been oriented in a scarce and traditional way. Sometimes this can obstruct their meanings during the locutionary act, preventing the student from understanding the different forms used in the standard variant . This reaserch has as objective the awareness of the teachers of basic education by developing their methodologies and practices in the verbal grammar teaching, analyzing the contributions of verbal tenses, emphasizing the importance of the use of preterite tense for the process of teaching Portuguese language, and pointing out the relevance of the use of each of them.The conceptions used cover topics such as Language, Grammar and Preterite Tense: conceptions and values. The method used for this research is deductive, since it essentially considers previous experiences based on bibliographic analyzes, indicating the relations of the practices between the teaching and use of grammatical methodologies in the training of the student, reader and native language teachers. This reasearch is important for the academic learning and methodological development of future Portuguese language teachers in relation to the teaching-learning process of grammar studies. It also contributes greatly to the significant process constituted in the structure of the mother language.Por muitos anos, as indicações de uso dos pretéritos no ensino dos verbos nas aulas de língua portuguesa são orientadas de maneira escassa e tradicional, obstruindo por muitas vezes suas acepções durante o ato locutório, impedindo que aluno compreenda suas formas distintas empregadas na variante padrão. O objetivo desse trabalho visa à conscientização dos professores da educação básica ao desenvolver suas metodologias e práticas no ensino gramatical dos verbos, analisando as contribuições dos tempos verbais, ressaltando a importância do uso do tempo pretérito para o processo do ensino da língua portuguesa, conceituando-os e apontando a relevância de uso de cada um deles. As concepções utilizadas abordam temas como Língua, Linguagem, Gramática e Tempos Pretéritos: concepções e valores. O método utilizado para esta pesquisa é dedutivo, pois considera essencialmente experiências precedentes com base em análises de cunho bibliográfico, indicando as relações de prática entre o ensino e uso de metodologias gramaticais na formação do aluno, leitor e professor de língua materna. O trabalho presente resultou em um estudo de suma importância para o aprendizado acadêmico e desenvolvimento metodológico de futuros professores de língua portuguesa em relação ao processo de ensino aprendizagem dos estudos gramaticais, contribuindo grandemente para o processo significativo constituídos na estrutura da língua materna
