This work aims to propose playful activities to strengthen the values of respect and empathy in the I.E. N ° 253 "Isabel Honorio de Lazarte" from Trujillo, 2020. It is a basic research, of a simple descriptive purposeful type. The problem of the research was: How would the values of respect and empathy be strengthened in the four-year-old boys and girls of the I.E. "Isabel Honorio de Lazarte" from the city of Trujillo, year 2020? The study sample consisted of 23 boys and girls from the blue classroom of the I.E. N ° 253 "Isabel Honorio de Lazarte". Observation with an instrument was used as a numerical scale that consists of 14 items and its purpose is to observe if the 4-year-old students of the I.E. "Isabel Honorio de Lazarte" act with values of respect and empathy within the I.E. The instrument was validated through expert judgments and the level of reliability was established by Cronbach's Alpha. The results that we obtained regarding the respect dimension indicate that children practice this value frequently, representing 65.2%, while in the empathy dimension the percentage stands at 47.8% with a level of little practice, which is why it is It is necessary to strengthen these values, therefore it is considered convenient to apply the proposed recreational activities. For this reason, the proposal of recreational activities was developed to strengthen the values of respect and empathy, taking into account the application of certain pedagogical strategies through play in order to strengthen said values.Tesi

Recent advances in the structural and molecular biology of type IV secretion systems

Bacteria use type IV secretion (T4S) systems to deliver DNA and protein substrates to a diverse range of prokaryotic and eukaryotic target cells. T4S systems have great impact on human health, as they are a major source of antibiotic resistance spread among bacteria and are central to infection processes of many pathogens. Therefore, deciphering the structure and underlying translocation mechanism of T4S systems is crucial to facilitate development of new drugs. The last five years have witnessed considerable progress in unraveling the structure of T4S system subassemblies, notably that of the T4S system core complex, a large 1 MegaDalton (MDa) structure embedded in the double membrane of Gram-negative bacteria and made of 3 of the 12 T4S system components. However, the recent determination of the structure of ∼3 MDa assembly of 8 of these components has revolutionized our views of T4S system architecture and opened up new avenues of research, which are discussed in this review

Uncertain but able: Entrepreneurial self-efficacy and novices' use of expert decision-logic under uncertainty

    Get PDF
Entrepreneurs׳ initial strategy choices are made in the face of inherently uncertain and fundamentally unpredictable futures. Yet, unlike experts, novice entrepreneurs still tend to rely on predictions and forecasts as they move their ideas through the venture creation process. This study examines the role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and situational framing in mitigating the seemingly negative consequences of an “experience deficit” and promoting the use of effectuation - a non-predictive logic associated with entrepreneurial expertise. The results of a randomized experiment show that, in contrast to a control group and a low ESE group, novices who experienced an increase in ESE were more likely to use effectuation under uncertainty. This relationship was mediated by the framing of the situation as an opportunity

Analysis of stellar spectra with 3D and NLTE models

Models of radiation transport in stellar atmospheres are the hinge of modern astrophysics. Our knowledge of stars, stellar populations, and galaxies is only as good as the theoretical models, which are used for the interpretation of their observed spectra, photometric magnitudes, and spectral energy distributions. I describe recent advances in the field of stellar atmosphere modelling for late-type stars. Various aspects of radiation transport with 1D hydrostatic, LTE, NLTE, and 3D radiative-hydrodynamical models are briefly reviewed.Comment: 21 pages, accepted for publication as a chapter in "Determination of Atmospheric Parameters of B, A, F and G Type Stars", Springer (2014), eds. Evolution of Entrepreneurial Judgment with Venture-Specific Experience

    Get PDF
This study advances research on entrepreneurial cognition by investigating how entrepreneurial judgment evolves during new venture creation. We conceptualize entrepreneurial judgment as a cognitive process in the minds of entrepreneurs that operates on the causal map – i.e., a knowledge structure concerning what factors they believe will help the chances of profitability under uncertainty. At the time of initial epiphany, entrepreneurs construct a cognitive causal map which guides resource allocation decisions. Over time, venture-specific experience accumulates and entrepreneurial judgment evolves in response to their observations. Using a dataset of 524 nascent entrepreneurs, we find that entrepreneurs with more venturespecific experiences have more selective judgments, and have stronger conviction in those judgments. We also find that perceived uncertainty and cognitive dispositions of the individuals affect entrepreneurial judgment
