La práctica de la educación física y sus riesgos

La practica de algunos ejercicios gimnásticos con o sin aparatos (vertical, Media Luna, mortal atrás, saltos de Cajón, etc.), de pruebas atléticas clásicas (bala disco, jabalina, garrocha, martillo, etc.), que en la actualidad están caracterizados como actividades extremas; que pueden acarrear los accidentes y de otros deportes (natación, handbol, fútbol, rugby, etc.); De estos accidentes dan cuentan varios informes de las autoridades Escolares y numerosos reclamos de los padres de los damnificados, en el ámbito de la Provincia de Mendoza. (Informe D.G.E. Año 1998) y de todo el País. Estas actividades que son consideradas extremas o de alto riesgo. Es necesario que los Profesores de Educación Física verifiquen las medidas de seguridad para evitar lesiones en la práctica de las actividades físicas escolares antes de empezar la actividad las que demandan en primer lugar, la presencia activa y alerta del profesor de Educación Física, en todo momento y realizar un análisis de riesgo, antes de empezar la actividad, para después poder tolerar accidente. El profesor debe tener el conocimiento de los riesgos de cada ejercitación y así buscar los medios eficaces para evitar que esos riesgos se transformen en daños físicos, es mejor perder tiempo en ese análisis y no analizar después al accidente cuando ya es tarde. Según la opinión del algunos Jueces Civiles (o Penales) que consideran a la Educación Física, como una "Actividad Riesgosa por las circunstancias de su realización¿ Para terminar con esté tema, no se trata de que la Educación Física sea una actividad riesgosa ni peligrosa sino que la ley impone, a quien presta el servicio de modo organizado(sea una Institución Publica o Privada) él deber de prestarlo sin producir daños. En resumen, en esté trabajo se analizan las causas inmediatas de algunos accidentes ocurridos y también en dicho estudio saco la conclusión que los daños han sido; de lesión leve, de gravedad o la muerte de algunos alumnos según los casos. Además se recomiendan algunos consejos o medidas preventivas como modelo para liberar ó atenuar la responsabilidad civil, ante los numeroso daños que ocurren, en nuestro país. La conclusión a que se arriban en esté trabajo, es que si estas variables se aplicarán y que son las medidas Mínima de Seguridad. Se reducirían en un alto porcentaje de riesgo de accidentes, en un (90 %)

Endometriosis e infertilidad

ResumenEste artículo revisa la evidencia reciente relacionada con el impacto de la endometriosis sobre la fertilidad. La endometriosis se presenta durante la vida reproductiva y es diagnosticada frecuentemente en mujeres en estudio de infertilidad. Tiene múltiples formas de presentación: peritoneal, infiltración profunda, ovárica y/o nódulo rectovaginal. En las etapas avanzadas la infertilidad se explica por la distorsión anatómica de los órganos reproductivos, y en las etapas iniciales, sin distorsión anatómica, se debería a la presencia una de reacción inflamatoria peritoneal, que compromete eventos reproductivos claves como el desarrollo folicular, la ovulación, el desarrollo embrionario y la implantación. El tratamiento de la endometriosis es quirúrgico y consiste en la resección tumoral máxima que permite restablecer la fecundidad natural. Tratamientos complementarios como IO, IIU e IVF, resultan apropiados cuando la cirugía no logra recuperar la fertilidad, en estadios avanzados y/o frente a la presencia de otros factores asociados de infertilidad.SummaryThis article reviews the current evidence on the impact of endometriosis on fertility. Endometriosis affects women during their reproductive years, and is frequently diagnosed during the infertility work-up. Endometriosis has multiple forms of presentation including: peritoneal, deep-infiltrating, ovarian and/or rectovaginal nodule. In advanced stages, Infertility is explained by the anatomical distortion of the reproductive organs and in early stages, without distortion, the peritoneal inflammatory reaction, might compromise key reproductive events like follicular development, ovulation, embryo development and implantation. Surgery is the apropriate treatment for endometriosis, and consist in the maximum resection of the endometriotic tissue. Complementary treatments like OI, IUI and IVF, are appropriate when fertility is not restored by surgery, in advanced stages of the disease and in the presence of other infertility factors

Clonal dissemination of Klebsiella pneumoniae ST258 harbouring KPC-2 in Argentina

AbstractThe present work describes the abrupt emergence of Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC) and characterizes the first 79 KPC-producing enterobacteria from Argentina (isolated from 2006 to 2010). The emergence of blaKPC-2 was characterized by two patterns of dispersion: the first was the sporadic occurrence in diverse enterobacteria from distant geographical regions, harbouring plasmids of different incompatibility groups and blaKPC-2 in an unusual genetic environment flanked by ISKpn8-ΔblaTEM-1 and ISKpn6-like. blaKPC-2 was associated with IncL/M transferable plasmids; the second was the abrupt clonal spread of K. pneumoniae ST258 harbouring blaKPC-2 in Tn4401a

Doppler Ultrasound Signal in Achilles Tendinopathy Reduces Immediately After Activity

BACKGROUND: A relationship has been identified between vascularization on Doppler ultrasound (Doppler signal) and Achilles tendon pain. Doppler signal may increase minutes after prolonged activity, but the immediate effect is unknown. The aim of the study was to investigate the immediate effect of short term activity on Achilles tendon Doppler signal. Achilles tendinopathy patients (7 patients, 10 tendons) and asymptomatic controls (6 controls, 12 tendons) performed 2 activity tasks; a 2 minute continuous step task and one minute continuous calf raise task. Doppler signal was measured at rest and within a minute after each activity. The presence of Doppler signal was quantified using both semi quantitative (modified Ohberg scale; 0=no signal, 5 = > 90% of pathological area contains Doppler signal) and quantitative methods (pixel number). Doppler signal was present in 90% of symptomatic individuals and in none of the asymptomatic controls. The modified Ohberg scale and pixel number reduced significantly after both activity tasks and heart rate increased significantly (p < 0.05). Doppler signal in Achilles tendinopathy may decrease immediately after activities that load the calf muscle and increase heart rate, suggesting that this activity should be avoided prior to imaging to avoid false negative results

Water seepage beneath dams on soluble evaporite deposits: a laboratory and field study (Caspe Dam, Spain)

The paper presents analytical methods and results for assessing the variation in the concentration of sulphate (and other ions) over space and time in groundwater flowing through a soluble evaporite terrain beneath a dam. The influence of effective porosity, groundwater flow velocity and the specific rate of dissolution (K′) are considered. The theoretical analysis was tested in a scale model simulating a dam constructed on heavily karstified bedrock. A simple and useful method for assessing how much material is lost through dissolution and how the rate of dissolution changes over time is considered in the context of the Caspe Dam, Spain

Liittymätyypin muuttaminen kiertoliittymäksi ja sen vaikutuksia

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tutkia ja selvittää liittymätyypin muutoksen vaikutuksia, kun se muutetaan kiertoliittymäksi. Työssä käytiin läpi kolme kiertoliittymää, jotka ovat olleet ennen muutosta valo-ohjaamattomia tai -ohjattuja tasoliittymiä. Liittymät sijaitsevat Lappeenrannassa, työn tilaajana toimi Lappeenrannan kaupunki ja työn ohjaavana opettajana Hämeen ammattikorkeakoulusta Janne Rautio. Liittymiä on muutettu ja tullaan muuttamaan yhä enemmän kiertoliittymiksi. Sille haettiin perusteluita tutkimuksen kautta mm. liikennemääriä, onnettomuustilastoja ja kustannuksia selvittämällä. Kaupungin tietokannoista löytyi asiasta paljon dataa. Niistä sain työtäni koskevien liittymien tilastot, joista keräsin tiedot työhöni. Lisäksi tutkin ja suoritin maastokäyntejä itse saadakseni ajantasaista tietoa liittymistä. Liittymien muuttamisella kiertoliittymiksi on paljon positiivisia ja melko vähän negatiivisia vaikutuksia. Se ei sovi jokaiseen paikkaan tilantarpeen vuoksi, mutta hyötyinä ovat liikenneturvallisuuden ja sujuvuuden parantuminen, rakennus- ja huoltokustannukset ovat pienemmät ja lisäksi onnettomuuksien vähenemisen myötä niistä aiheutuvat kustannukset pienenevät huomattavasti.Purpose of this thesis was to investigate and clarify effects of changing the intersection to a roundabout. Thesis contains three roundabouts, that have been before change either intersections with traffic lights, or without them. Intersections are located in Lappeenranta, thesis was ordered by city of Lappeenranta and Janne Rautio was director from Häme University of applied sciences. Intersections have been changed and will be changed much more in the future to roundabouts. For that I tried to get arguments with investigation about traffic quantity, statistics of accidents and costs. Lots of useful data was found from database of the city of Lappeenranta. From there I got statistics and information about intersections that are included in this thesis. Also I investigated and visited intersections to collect up-to-date information and data. Changing intersection’s type to roundabouts has much positive and just few negative effects. Roundabout needs a lot of space, so it doesn’t fit to every place, but as benefits there are improved traffic safety and fluency, build- and maintenance costs are smaller and also because number of accidents are smaller, costs from them are much smaller also

The Higgs sector of the phenomenological MSSM in the light of the Higgs boson discovery

The long awaited discovery of a new light scalar at the LHC opens up a new era of studies of the Higgs sector in the SM and its extensions. In this paper we discuss the consequences of the observation of a light Higgs boson with the mass and rates reported by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations on the parameter space of the phenomenological MSSM, including also the so far unsuccessful LHC searches for the heavier Higgs bosons and supersymmetric particle partners in missing transverse momentum as well as the constraints from B physics and dark matter. We explore the various regimes of the MSSM Higgs sector depending on the parameters MA and tan beta and show that only two of them are still allowed by all present experimental constraints: the decoupling regime where there is only one light and standard--like Higgs boson and the supersymmetric regime in which there are light supersymmetric particle partners affecting the decay properties of the Higgs boson, in particular its di-photon and invisible decays.Comment: 21 pages, 9 figures v2 - Discussion of the impact of LHC data extended, scan statistics increased, a few figures added and typos correcte
