    Risk Factors, Clinical And CT Findings In Death Due To Intra Cerebral Hemorrhage

    This study is carried out to determine effective risk factors for early death and their causes in those who died due to intra cerebral hemorrhage within 30 days."nMaterials and Methods: From patients who have been admitted in Neurologic ward of Imam Khomeini hospital in Tabriz, We enrolled 100 patients with intra cerebral hemorrhage and the causes and risk factors effective in early death were evaluated among these patients by age, sex, blood pressure, level of consciousness, location of hematoma, CT findings and other risk factors."nResults: We enrolled 100 patients who died due to intra cerebral Hemorrhage among 358 patients with I.C.H, 62 male and 38 female, with mean age of 60.8. The time course of hospitalization was 4.5 days. The most important risk factor was hypertension on 90 percent of patients, previous C.V.A on 28 percent other risk time of admission in 66 percent of patients with G.C.S under 8."nConclusion: Hypertension was the most common and important risk factors and male gender and age were the second risk factors for early death with intra cerebral hemorrhage

    Dynamic Resource Sharing in 5G with LSA: Criteria-Based Management Framework

    Owing to a steadily increasing demand for efficient spectrum utilization as part of the fifth-generation (5G) cellular concept, it becomes crucial to revise the existing radio spectrum management techniques and provide more flexible solutions for the corresponding challenges. A new wave of spectrum policy reforms can thus be envisaged by producing a paradigm shift from static to dynamic orchestration of shared resources. The emerging Licensed Shared Access (LSA) regulatory framework enables flexible spectrum sharing between a limited number of users that access the same frequency bands, while guaranteeing better interference mitigation. In this work, an advanced user satisfaction-aware spectrum management strategy for dynamic LSA management in 5G networks is proposed to balance both the connected user satisfaction and the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) resource utilization. The approach is based on the MNO decision policy that combines both pricing and rejection rules in the implemented processes. Our study offers a classification built over several types of users, different corresponding attributes, and a number of MNO's decision scenarios. Our investigations are built on Criteria-Based Resource Management (CBRM) framework, which has been specifically designed to facilitate dynamic LSA management in 5G mobile networks. To verify the proposed model, the results (spectrum utilization, estimated Secondary User price for the future connection, and user selection methodology in case of user rejection process) are validated numerically as we yield important conclusions on the applicability of our approach, which may offer valuable guidelines for efficient radio spectrum management in highly dynamic and heterogeneous 5G environments. © 2018 Zhaleh Sadreddini et al

    Tetanus neurotoxin HCC protein commits T cell to IFN-γ producing cells

    A protective response against tetanus toxin and toxoid demands efficient specific T cell and B cell responses. Tetanus neurotoxin (TeNT), a 150 kDa polypeptide, is the main cause of tetanus disease. TeNT consists of two structurally distinct chains, a 50 kDa N-terminal light (L) and a 100 kDa C-terminal heavy (H) chain. C-terminal heavy (H) chain (fragment C) has two sub-domains named as proximal HCN and carboxy sub-domain or HCC. Beside neural binding property, HCC has been recently found as an immunodominant module of TeNT. In the present study, we investigated the effects of recombinant HCC (rHCC) on the expression of lineage specific transcription factors and secretion of a panel of functional cytokines including IFN-γ, IL-4, and IL-17 from purified human T cells. Our results revealed that T-bet transcript level, as TH1 specific transcription factor, was significantly increased in the cells treated with 10 and 20 μg/ml of rHCC following 48 h treatment(p < 0.05). Treated purified human T cells with rHCC showed significant increase in IFN-γ mRNA level and cytokine secretion, but not IL-4 and IL-17, following 48 h treatment. In conclusion, our results showed that treatment of T cells with r HCC resulted in development of Th1 lineage phenotype, which might lead to a specific and protective antibody mediated response against tetanus toxin. © 2016 by the C.M.B.
