    Get PDF
The purpose of the work is the organization of the six-cylinder diesel engines (with a power of 116 and 156 kW) working process with exhaust gas recirculation. The following systems and components were used in the experimental configuration of the engine: Common Rail BOSСH accumulator fuel injection system with an injection pressure of 140 MPa equipped with electro-hydraulic injectors with 7-hole nozzle and a 500 mm3 hydraulic flow; direct fuel injection system with MOTORPAL fuel pump with a maximum injection pressure of 100 MPa, equipped with MOTORPAL and AZPI five-hole nozzle injectors; two combustion chambers with volumes of 55 and 56 cm3 and bowl diameters of 55 and 67.5 mm; cylinder heads providing a 3-4 swirl ratio for Common Rail system, 3.5-4.5 for mechanical injection system; recirculation rate was set by gas throttling before the turbine using original design rotary valve. The tests were conducted at characteristic points of the NRSC cycle: minimum idle speed 800 rpm, maximum torque speed 1600 rpm, rated power speed 2100 rpm. It is established: achievement of emission standards for the 116 kW diesel engine is possible with the use of direct-acting fuel equipment and a semi-open combustion chamber; on the 156 kW diesel - using the Low Cost type common Rail fuel supply system and an open combustion chamber

The development of audio data compression methods and facilities with the use of fractal approach

    Get PDF
The development of modern telecommunication networks is characterized by an increase in the share of multimedia traffic. An important component of multimedia traffic is audio information, especially voice information. This problem appeared during the working process on workstations and personal computers. The problem is associated with a large volume for their transfer and storage. There are many different algorithms for audio data archiving, but they either provide insufficient compression ratios, or lead to a significant loss of data, what is connected with deterioration of consumer information quality. According to this, there is a relevant task to develop new approaches to audio data compression

EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE WORKING PROCESS OF VERTICAL ROTOR PEDES

    Get PDF
The article presents results obtained in the experimental research of the working process of vertical rotor harrows. The elementary results regarding the qualitative indices of the work process are presented: the degree of soil crushing, the degree of soil leveling, as well as some process performance factors: tensile strength, fuel consumption and fuel consumption specific to the unit. productivity. For each of the quality indices of the paper were obtained theoretical expressions that show their dependence on some of the main operating parameters of vertical axis rotor harrows: working speed, speed of the harrow rotors and the number of knives that equip each rotor. The aim is to show which of the quality indices and the performance parameters of the work process have a real optimization potential for the work process. The results were used for superior statistical models that can obtain a higher degree of generality

0,5-1,5 %.The results of mathematical modeling of working process of the internal combustion engine (dimension 8,2/7,1) are presented in the paper. Mathematical modeling was performed in the software Diesel-RK developed in MSTU named after N. Uh. Bauman. The influence of quality indicators of gas exchange on technical and economic indicators of the engine are presented in the article. Operational development of the intake and exhaust systems has a significant impact on the basic performance of the engine. Changes to the configuration of the air-gas path of the engine increases power up to 11 % at simultaneous increase of specific fuel consumption of only 0.5 to 1.5 %.Работа выполнена при поддержке РФФИ (грант мол_а, договор № 16-38-00004\16)

Transforming brownfields into urban greenspaces: A working process for stakeholder analysis

    Get PDF
Urban greenspaces (UGS) provide a range of ecosystem services and are instrumental in ensuring the liveability of cities. Whilst incorporating UGS in increasingly denser cities is a challenge to planners, brownfields form a latent resource with the potential of being converted into UGS. Transformation of brownfields to greenspaces, however, requires engagement of a variety of stakeholders, from providers to users. The overall aim of this study was to support effective and realistic realisations of UGS in the context of urban brownfields’ regeneration and stakeholder engagement. A working process was developed to: 1) integrate methods relevant for UGS realisation for a) identification and categorising of relevant stakeholders, b) mapping their interests and resources, c) identifying various challenges, and d) matching those challenges with the mapped resources over the timeline of UGS development; and 2) apply these methods to assess relevance and shortcomings. The methods were applied to a study site in Sweden, and data was collected using a questionnaire survey. The survey received 31 responses and the respondents’ comments indicated that the combination of several uses, especially integrated with an urban park, is preferable. Visualisation was an important component for data analysis: stakeholder categorisation was effectively visualised using a Venn diagram, and the needed mobilisation of resources among stakeholders to manage identified challenges was visualised using a timeline. The analysis demonstrates the need for collaboration between stakeholders to achieve an effective realisation of UGS and how multiple methods can be used in concert to map stakeholders, preferences, challenges, and resources for a particular site. The application at a study site provided site-specific data but the developed stakeholder categorisation, and the method for matching identified challenges with the stakeholders’ resources using a timeline, can be generalised to applications at other sites

In this thesis I’ve been working with a proposal for an outdoor bath complex in the village Sandvik on the north-west coast of Öland. The research questions asked in the beginning of the process were: - How can an outdoor bath complex (kallbadhus) be formed so as to match the needs of the summer tourists as well as the permanently living inhabitants of the island and a be well functioning institution all year round? - How can the baths be formed to meet and take care of the existing qualities of the site? - How can I in the working process get grip of and develope the sensual, non-visual aspects of the architecture? The working process has been a dialogue between the inner spaces of the structure and the bigger landscape. The sensual experience of specific spaces of the baths and how they relate to the landscape has been essential, both from the perspective of being inside the structure and from the outside. The baths consist of a group of buildings – some wooden and some made of concrete – placed around 60 meters from the coast. It’s, as mentioned, directed towards both summer tourists and the normal inhabitant of Öland, and it offers different kinds of sauna and bathing situations such as dry saunas, steam sauna, shower rooms, and various forms of outdoor bathing.I detta projekt har jag arbetat med ett förslag till ett kallbadhus, beläget på Ölands nordvästra kust i byn Sandvik.

The Limitations and Possibilities of Co-Creation in the Public Domain of Rotterdam

    Get PDF
A group of undergraduate bachelor students engaged in a project that focused on finding new co-creation methods for the public domain in Rotterdam. This paper describes the context in which the students worked, the findings they\ud made and the solutions they proposed. Their working process is compared with the work of the Freehouse foundation, a professional artist-run organization that focuses on empowering locals, socially and economically, by enlarging their involvement in the public domain. Subsequently the specifics of the discussed public domain, Rotterdam South, are pointed out. This is required because a very specific context is created by the combination of working class pride, lack of involved citizenship and severe social issues in the area. To conclude, the effect of the co-creative methods employed by the students and Freehouse on the\ud redistribution of power is compared with more traditional forms of citizen participation
