Organic Livestock Production- A Bibliometric Review

Get PDF
Due to the increasing interest in organic farming, an overview of this research area is provided through a bibliometric analysis conducted between April and May 2019. A total of 320 documents were published up until 2018 on organic livestock farming, with an annual growth rate of 9.33% and a clear increase since 2005; 268 documents have been published in 111 journals. Germany is the country with the largest number of published papers (56 documents). Authors’ top keywords (excluding keywords used for running the search) included: animal welfare (29 times), animal health (22 times), cattle (15 times), grazing (10 times), and sheep (10 times). This could indicate that more research has been done on cattle because of the importance of this species in Germany. Moreover, the prevalence of the terms ‘animal welfare’ and ‘animal health’ may indicate that the research on organic livestock production has been focused on these two areas. The bibliometric analysis indicates that: i) countries focused the organic livestock production research on their main production, and ii) more research in species other than cattle and sheep is needed

EVALUATING ECOLOGICAL STUDIES IN EPIDEMIOLOGY

The purpose of this research was twofold. The first objective was to assess the quality of modern cross-sectional ecological studies with a bibliometric review. The second objective was to investigate via simulation study the reliability of common ecological regression models for analysing count data. The bibliometric review found that the quality and areas of application of the ecological literature is quite diverse. However, a large proportion of studies exhibited poor statistical practice and provided insufficient amounts of justification and information. Linear, weighted linear, Poisson, and negative binomial regression were included in the simulation study based on their prevalence in the bibliometric review. The Poisson and negative binomial models had overly-liberal Type I error rates when faced with overdispersion or small samples respectively. Linear and weighted linear regression had highly robust Type I error rates. For all models, power decreased primarily as a function of overdispersion

Makale (Review)WOS:000956643100003The paper aims to examine the trends and evolution of ecotourism research in the last 20 years, highlighting co-citations, collaborations, and emerging research themes. A total of 1387 ecotourism-related research from the Web of Science (WoS) database from 1991 to 2021 were analyzed in some bibliometric analyses using CiteSpace V software. The WoS database was scanned using the terms “ecotourism” and “eco-tourism.” While scanning, the “Hospitality, Leisure, Sport, and Tourism” field was selected for filtering, and articles published by September 12, 2021, were accessed. The most frequently studied cluster of topics related to ecotourism includes the creation of local benefits, ecotourism intentions, and community empowerment. The three most frequently used keywords related to ecotourism are “ecotourism,” “tourism,” and “conservation.” The outcome of this research constitutes a unique contribution to the area of ecotourism. The study provides an in-depth bibliometric analysis of publications and identification of important research trends. Political, religious, sports and business leaders across the world have been under scrutiny regarding allegedly unethical behaviors. The current study analyzes the use of responsible leadership in management research. Using a sample of 64 articles published in SSCI-indexed journals over 10 years (2006-2016), we carried out a bibliometric analysis to understand the intellectual structure of the responsible leadership literature. The results of authorship, citation and co-citation, and factor analyses reveal the most prolific authors and the most notable journals writing and publishing on responsible leadership. The most cited works are theoretical, using Western frameworks and cultures, and focus on the concept of responsible leadership; only a few empirical/case study articles appear. Also, the most prevalent links are between theoretical works and highlight the conceptualization, understanding, and roles and parameters of responsible leaders. Six distinct factors emerge, denoting the groups of studies devoted to the evolution of leadership, transformational leadership, stakeholder theory and leadership, conceptualization and understanding of the topic, and roles of responsible leaders. These various research topics show the central tenets of responsible leadership, as well as the existing gaps in the existent literature.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Bibliometric Review of NoC Router Optimization

Get PDF
Network on chip (NoC) has been proposed as an emerging solution for scalability and performance demands of next generation System on Chip (SoC). NoC provides a solution for the bus based interconnection issue of SoC, where large numbers of Intellectual Property modules (IP) are integrated on a single chip for better performance. The NoC has several advantages such as scalability, low latency and low power consumption, high bandwidth over dedicated wires and buses. Interconnections between multiple chip cores have a significant impact on the communication and performance of the chip design in terms of region, latency, throughput and power. In the NoC architecture, the router is a dominant component that significantly affects the performance of the NoC. NoC router architectures evolved since the year 2002 and progress in the domain pertaining to the optimization in the NoC router architectures has been discussed. The key objective of this bibliometric review is to understand the extent of the existing literature in the domain of performance efficient NoC router architectures. The bibliometric analysis is primarily based on data extracted from Scopus. It reveals that major contributions are done by researchers from USA, China followed by India in the form of conference, journals and articles publications. The major contribution is by the subject areas of Computer Science and Engineering followed by Mathematics and Material Science. The geographical analysis is done by using the GPS visualize tool. The clusters were created using Gephi

A Bibliometric Review on Dynamic Capability

Get PDF
Dynamic capability is an organization’s ability to integrate, build, and rearrange its internal and external competencies to face the rapidly changing environment. The objectives of dynamic capabilities consist of (1) the capacity to sense and form opportunities and threats (sensing); (2) capacity to seize existing opportunities (seizing); and (3) the capacity to maintain competitiveness through upgrading, merging, protecting, and reconfiguring business assets, both tangible and intangible. This study aims to determine the development of dynamic capability research trends published by leading Scopus-based journals. The data analyzed consisted of 1194 indexed research publications from 2012 until 2021. The data is then processed and analyzed using the VoS viewer application to determine the bibliometric map of dynamic capability research development. There are several definitions of dynamic capability and implications for the firm environment. Keywords: dynamic capability, bibliometric, Vos viewer, business environment, scientometri
