Evaluation of different general V(λ) mismatch indices of photometers for LED-based light sources in general lighting applications
The general V(λ) mismatch index, , of a photometer quantifies the deviation between its determined relative spectral responsivity, , and its nominal responsivity, the spectral luminous efficiency function for photopic vision, V(λ). LED-based light sources now dominate in general lighting, displacing incandescent and fluorescent lamps. Furthermore, the calibration of photometers will very likely see the replacement of the reference CIE standard illuminant A with CIE reference spectrum L41. The article evaluates the consequences. Should we also change the definition of the general V(λ) mismatch index? Based on performance criteria, the individual indices are evaluated using various datasets with the help of statistical analyses. As a result, the authors can conclude that the current definition works very well even under changed calibration and application conditions and does not need to be changed. Other evaluated indices for a new index definition perform only slightly better in some cases, but do not generate generally better properties

miR-515-5p controls cancer cell migration through MARK4 regulation
Here, we show that miR-515-5p inhibits cancer cell migration and metastasis. RNA-seq analyses of both oestrogen receptor receptor-positive and receptor-negative breast cancer cells overexpressing miR-515-5p reveal down-regulation of NRAS, FZD4, CDC42BPA, PIK3C2B and MARK4 mRNAs. We demonstrate that miR-515-5p inhibits MARK4 directly 3' UTR interaction and that MARK4 knock-down mimics the effect of miR-515-5p on breast and lung cancer cell migration. MARK4 overexpression rescues the inhibitory effects of miR-515-5p, suggesting miR-515-5p mediates this process through MARK4 down-regulation. Furthermore, miR-515-5p expression is reduced in metastases compared to primary tumours derived from both in vivo xenografts and samples from patients with breast cancer. Conversely, miR-515-5p overexpression prevents tumour cell dissemination in a mouse metastatic model. Moreover, high miR-515-5p and low MARK4 expression correlate with increased breast and lung cancer patients' survival, respectively. Taken together, these data demonstrate the importance of miR-515-5p/MARK4 regulation in cell migration and metastasis across two common cancers
Electrical behavior of MIS devices based on Si nanoclusters embedded in SiOxNy and SiO2 films
We examined and compared the electrical properties of silica (SiO2) and silicon oxynitride (SiOxNy) layers embedding silicon nanoclusters (Sinc) integrated in metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) devices. The technique used for the deposition of such layers is the reactive magnetron sputtering of a pure SiO2 target under a mixture of hydrogen/argon plasma in which nitrogen is incorporated in the case of SiOxNy layer. Al/SiOxNy-Sinc/p-Si and Al/SiO2-Sinc/p-Si devices were fabricated and electrically characterized. Results showed a high rectification ratio (>104) for the SiOxNy-based device and a resistive behavior when nitrogen was not incorporating (SiO2-based device). For rectifier devices, the ideality factor depends on the SiOxNy layer thickness. The conduction mechanisms of both MIS diode structures were studied by analyzing thermal and bias dependences of the carriers transport in relation with the nitrogen content
