    Perilaku Beruang Madu di Kawasan Wisata Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup Kota Balikpapan

    Sun bear (Helarctos malayanus) is one of the fauna in East Kalimantan, included to protected biodiversity. Since 2002 sun bear used to be the mascot of Balikpapan City. To save the population of sun bear, there isKawasan Wisata Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (KWPLH) in which there are five sun bears in the enclosure area of 1.3 hectares. Outside the enclosure, there is a boardwalk along 400 meters which provided for visitors to see and observe the sun bears and their behavior directly. This study aims to examine the behavior of sun bears at KWPLH Balikpapan City. Used method is the method of survey, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed there were at least four observable behavior which are feeding behavior, social, activities, and communication. Eating behavior that were seen aretheir way to eat and the type of food. There are different relationship in social behavior such as nice fellow, polite, cranky, or irritable. Sun bear's active time is during the afternoon (diurnal). To communicate between sun bears, it can be done through sound, smell, and various facial expressions. The conclusion in this study is sun bear's behavior can be observed well if it maintained in an extensive enclosure and managed according to the condition of natural habitats

    Persepsi Mahasiswa Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup terhadap Ketercapaian Unnes sebagai Kampus Konservasi untuk Menuju Pembangunan Berkelanjutan

    Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa peserta kuliah Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup terhadap ketercapaian UNNES sebagai kampus konservasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dengan responden sebanyak 101 mahasiswa dari 5 fakultas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mata kuliah PLH sangat besar kontribusinya untuk membekali mahasiswa terlibat dalam upaya konservasi kampus. Pelaksanaan 7 pilar konservasi yang dimulai sejak tahun 2010, menurut 94,5% mahasiswa menyatakan cukup sampai sangat baik. Beberapa hal yang perlu ditingkatkan adalah menambah keanekaragaman spesies tumbuhan, tidak hanya tanaman keras, tetapi juga buah-buahan dan tanaman berbunga dengan struktur tajuk berlapis sehingga menyediakan habitat dan makanan bagi fauna. Kebersihan toilet dan kelancaran persediaan air perlu dijaga, trasportasi internal kampus disediakan dengan kendaraan bebas polutan. Kesadaran mahasiswa untuk membuang sampah dengan pemilahan masih perlu ditingkatkan, demikian pula kebijakan nirkertas dan penggunaan energi bersih. Jika hal ini terwujud maka pembangunan berkelanjutan di kampus UNNES akan terwujud

    AbstrakBeruang madu (Helarctos malayanus) merupakan salah satu fauna  yang dilindungi  perundang-undangan Indonesia. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah kepunahan beruang madu adalah melalui konservasi. Kawasan Wisata Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (KWPLH) beruang madu di Balikpapan dinilai memiliki cara konservasi ex-situ yang terbaik di Asia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji cara konservasi beruang madu di KWPLH Balikpapan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei langsung,  wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara fisik, ekologis, dan aspek sosial masyarakat, KWPLH beruang madu Balikpapan cukup baik sebagai habitat untuk konservasi beruang madu, sekaligus sebagai kawasan untuk pembelajaran lingkungan hidup. Cara konservasi ini layak digunakan sebagai model konservasi satwa liar yang lain. Saran yang dapat disampaikan adalah perluasan area enklosur beruang madu sesuai dengan daerah jelajahnya, sehingga diharapkan dapat bereproduksi secara normal. This study aims to study how the sun bear conservation in KWPLH Balikpapan. The research method used are direct surveys, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that physically, ecologically, and as society aspect, Sun Bear KWPLH Balikpapan is good enough as a habitat for the conservation of the sun bear, as well as the area for environmental learning. This conservation is feasible used as a wildlife conservation model. We suggest that the xpansion area of sun bear’s enclosure is feasible to its home range, so it is expected to have normal reproduction. Thus the success of ex -situ conservation can be achieved.</p

    ABSTRAKKawasan Wisata Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (KWPLH) beruang madu (Helarctos malayanus) Balikpapan merupakan pusat pendidikan lingkungan yang dianggap sangat profesional, bersih dan dikelola dengan baik. Permasalahannya muncul pada tahun 2013 dengan adanya usulan relokasi beruang madu (dan enklosur) ke Km 10 (Arboretum Wana Wisata Inhutani), karena lokasi yang lama akan dialihfungsikan menjadi bumi perkemahan. Relokasi beruang madu ke habitat baru memerlukan kajian lingkungan yang mendalam untuk menentukan kelayakan lokasi baru sebagai habitat beruang madu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian lingkungan rencana relokasi beruang madu di Balikpapan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei langsung dengan pengamatan dan pengukuran kondisi lingkungan (fisik/abiotik, biotik). Kuesioner dan pedoman wawancara digunakan untuk mengkaji aspek sosial-budaya di lokasi KWPLH beruang madu (Km 23) dan rencana relokasi di Km 10. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran, observasi, dan analisis ketiga aspek lingkungan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Km 10 dapat digunakan untuk relokasi beruang madu. Namun untuk meminimalisir dampak sosial, direkomendasikan agar beruang madu di Km 23 tidak direlokasi, dan dibuat lagi enklosur beruang madu di Km 10 untuk merawat beruang madu hasil sitaan yang lain. ABSTRACT“Kawasan Wisata Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup” (KWPLH) of sun bear (Helarctos malayanus) Balikpapan is an environmental education center which is considered to be very professional, clean and well managed. The problem appeared in 2013 with the proposal of sun bear relocation (and enclosure) to Km 10 (Arboretum Wana Wisata Inhutani) because the old location will be converted into a camping ground . Sun bear relocation to a new habitat needs depth environmental study to determine the feasibility of the new location as sun bear habitat. This study aims to conduct an environmental study of sun bear relocation plan in Balikpapan. Research method used in this study is a direct survey method with observation and measurement of environmental conditions ( physical / abiotic, biotic, and socio-cultural) on the location KWPLH sun bear (Km 23) and relocation plan at Km 10, complemented by interviews and document analysis. Based on the results of measurement, observation, and analysis of those three environmental aspects , it can be concluded that the Km 10 can be used to relocate bears. However, to minimize the social impact, it is recommended that sun bears at Km 23 are not relocated, and another sun bear enclosure is made at Km 10 to treat the other of confiscated bears

    KORELASI PERSEPSI DAN MINAT DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS 10 LINTAS MINAT BIOLOGI SMAN 1 AMBARAWA

    Biology is one of the cross-interest subject that much demanded by high school students who take a specialization group of Social and Language studies, but the study result of biology is relatively low. This research aims to determine the correlation between: (1) perception with study result of biology; (2) interest with  study result of biology; and (3) perception and interest with  study result of biology together. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Ambarawa, population and sample are all 10th grade students of Cross-Interest Biology Class in the academic year 2016/2017. The research used non experimental quantitative design with correlational analysis. The data collected in the form of data of student’s perception, interest, and study result of biology. Data of perception and interest obtained by instrument of psychological scale with likert model, whereas data of study result obtained from the student value of final exam in the odd semester. The research results showed that: (1) the value of  rx1y=0,213 (low category) with the value of Sig. 0,014 0,05 at significance level of 5%; (2) the value of   rx2y=0,159 (very low category)  with the value of Sig. 0,070 0,05 at significance level of 5%; and the value of  R=0,216 (low category)  with the value of Sig.  0,048 0,05 at significance level of 5%. Based on the research can be concluded that: (1) there is low positive correlation between perception with study result of biology; (2) there is no correlation between interest with study result of  biology; and (3) there is low positive correlation between perception and interest with  study result of biology together for 10th grade students of Cross-Interest Biology Class at SMAN 1 Ambarawa

    The Effectiveness of Teaching Materials Based on Local Wisdom in the Takalar Region to Improve Literacy Capabilities of High School Students

    The literacy ability of Indonesian students is still relatively low, there are several factors that cause it, one of which is an error in selecting learning resources, especially the teaching materials used by schools are not based on local wisdom and do not meet valid categories to measure literacy skills. For this reason, the development of module-based teaching materials is needed. local wisdom in supporting the achievement of competencies and goals in learning. This study aims to obtain a product through a process of testing the effectiveness to measure scientific, data and environmental literacy abilities. This research is development research (R&amp;D) using 4-D type (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The population of this study was class X students with a total of 141 consisting of small and large-scale tests. The results showed that the students' literacy skills were 71.86% (high), the results of the n-gain analysis for the experimental class were 0.70 and for the control class 0.55 (moderate). The results of the inferential analysis were obtained using a different test (t-test) showing that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, so it can be concluded that teaching materials based on local wisdom in the Takalar area provide a significant difference in increasing the literacy skills of class X students.Pembelajaran abad 21 menuntut peserta didik untuk memiliki keterampilan menyeluruh. Keterampilan abad ke-21 terdiri atas empat domain utama yaitu literasi, berfikir inventif, komunikasi yang efektif dan produktivitas yang tinggi. Sebagaimana kita tahu bahwa Indonesia kemampuan literasi siswa Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains tersebut disebabkan beberapa faktor. Kesalahan dalam pemilihan sumber belajar. Bahan ajar yang dipakai sekolah belum berbasis kearifan lokal dan belum memenuhi kategori valid untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi. Untuk itu dibutukan pengembangan bahan ajar modul berbasis kearifan lokal dalam menunjang ketercapaian kompetensi serta tujuan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh suatu produk melalui proses pengujian keefektifan untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains, data dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R &amp;D) dengan menggunakan tipe 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X dengan jumlah 141 yang terdiri atas uji skala kecil dan besar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kemampuan literasi peserta didik 71,86% (Tinggi), hasil analisis n-gain untuk kelas eksperimen yaitu 0.70 dan kelas control 0,55 (sedang). Hasil analisis inferensial diperoleh dengan menggunakan uji beda (t-test) menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis kearifan local daerah takalar memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan pada peningkatan kemampuan literasi peserta didik kelas

    Pengembangan Ensiklopedia Keanekaragaman Hayati Di Kabupaten Jepara Sebagai Suplemen Bahan Ajar Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Dan Sikap Konservasi Lingkungan

    This research analyzed the characteristics, reliability validity, practicability, and effectiveness of an encyclopedia. This Research &amp; Development applied a 4-D model, starting from defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This research applied a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 70 learners from the tenth grade of the Mathematics and Science Program in Jepara Regency. The researchers collected with an expert validation questionnaire, readability questionnaire, and encyclopedia practicability questionnaire. The researchers also used twenty multiple-choice items. The developed product contained living creature diversity in the Jepara regency, such as plants and animals from the genus level, type, and ecosystem. The product also consisted of the steps to take the benefits of biodiversity for the surrounding people. The efforts of taking benefits included land management for agriculture, rice field, gum field, corn field, and cassava fields. The development in Jepara seemed to be contextual and factual with the learner necessity orientation. The encyclopedia design was attractive for the learners to understand biodiversity. The product also had a systematic arrangement based on the learning indicators. The data of the experts' validations were: 82.4% by the material expert and 84% by the media expert. Thus, the product was valid and reliable to use in learning. The readability results by the teachers obtained a percentage of 94.35% while the learners obtained a percentage of 86.22% with the excellent category. Thus, the encyclopedia was understandable and readable excellently by the teachers and the learners. The practicability data of the encyclopedia, by the teachers, obtained a mean percentage of 91.67%, categorized as practical. The result indicated the developed encyclopedia was easy to use and could facilitate the learners in learning biodiversity. The effectiveness of the teaching material was based on the classical accomplishment, N-gain, and the questionnaire on conservation attitude. The classical accomplishment of the learners' learning outcomes after learning with the media was 91%. The percentage indicates classical accomplishment. The N-gain score was 0.30, categorized as moderate. The value indicated the teaching material was effective to improve the learners' learning outcomes. The assessment on conservation attitude obtained a category of very excellent with a mean percentage of 3.56%. Thus, the researcher concluded the developed encyclopedia about biodiversity as a teaching material supplement was valid and reliable to apply in learning. The product was also effective to improve the learning result and the learners' conservation attitudes

    PENDIDIKAN UNTUK PEMBANGUNAN BERKELANJUTAN DI PONDOK PESANTREN

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi praktek Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (PPB) di Pondok Pesantren. Setting penelitian: Pondok Pesantren Modern Selamat Kendal yang sudah ada motivasi dalam pengelolaan lingkungan fisik dan biologis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif naturalistik yang mengedepankan adanya interaksi dan observasi partisipatif dengan subjek yang diteliti, dan melakukan observasi, dan wawancara dengan komunitas pondok pesantren. Pemilihan sampel secara purposive, accidental, dan snow-ball sampling. Kondisi lingkungan dan proses pembelajaran PPB diobservasi secara mendalam. Hasil wawancara ditranskrip, kemudian disajikan secara deskriptif. Data penelitian kualitatif berupa naratif, deskriptif, dokumen pribadi, catatan lapangan, dokumen pondok pesantren, foto, video-tapes, dan hasil rekaman CCTV. Guna memperoleh validitas data, komponen analisis data yang dilakukan adalah pengelompokan data, refleksi, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan 5 dimensi PPB yakni dimensi lingkungan, ekonomi, sosial-budaya, edukasional dan spiritual yang telah diimplementasikan dengan baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari oleh seluruh komunitas pondok. Implementasi ini terutama didukung oleh faktor kurukulum, proses pembelajaran pengetahuan umum dan agama, serta aktivitas spiritual komunitas pesantren dan Pendirinya.     Legibility Level of STEM Mobile Learning Package on Ecosystem

    STEM in education has been discussed as an approach that enhances students to demonstrate their holistic knowledge in some projects given. Teacher could support STEM in learning process by providing students proper learning material such as learning environment, learning resources, and medias. This research aimed to test legibility level of texts uploaded on STEM Mobile Learning Package (STEM MLP) on ecosystem as one of students’ learning resources. Legibility level data was obtained from questionnaire from small scale test on 47 students. Data were analyzed descriptively by both qualitative and quantitative methods. The finding showed that legibilty level from students’ questionnaire ranged from 78,7 percent to 97 percent.
