The objective of this study was to develop, analyze composition and evaluate the microbiological and sensory characteristics of high-protein diet bars (PB) with the addition of chia grain (Salvia hispanica L.), partially replacing isolated soy protein and concentrated whey protein, in proportions of 0, 10, 15 and 20%. The proximate composition was analyzed of PB, for microbiological quality of Bacillus cereus, Filamentous fungi and yeast count, total fecal coliforms, and Salmonella ssp. search. Sensory analysis was performed utilizing acceptance testing of characteristics on a nine-point hedonic scale for various attributes, including purchasing intention of the tested PB. Bars showed 20% moisture, 2.3% ash, 20-23% protein and 19% lipids. The effect of increasing of chia was to increase crude fiber content and decrease total carbohydrate and total energy value. All samples were within the microbiological food standards established by current legislation. All PB formulations obtained a good overall impression index and all characteristics were above mean grades, with the exception of taste (63%) in the PB containing 0% chia. Chia grain has a positive influence on sensory aspects and appears to be an alternative way to increase the nutritional quality of high-protein diet bars

Undergraduate training in Nursing requires an analysis of teachinglearning strategies and processes in the relationship between theory and practice in clinical teaching. Violence in young people’s intimate relationships is a sensitive issue for Nursing care, and peer education can produce moments of cooperative training among students. Action research and project methodology promote intervention in Community Nursing for vulnerable groups and the acquisition of skills in Nursing students. To reflect on the teaching-learning process in Nursing training in Clinical Teaching to Vulnerable Groups, in the last three years, in a community context and using the project methodology, where attitudes related to violence in the intimate relationships of young people are measured in a certain population, and hence, targeting the decision-making process in an action research context, a typology of interventions and outcomes in peer education interventions is described. A reflection on action research, project methodology and peer education in the training of Nursing students was elaborated. The analysis of the data obtained in the different editions of clinical teaching was carried out and the clinical teaching reports were analyzed to extract the interventions carried out in the face of the phenomenon under study. There is a legitimation of violence in the intimate relationships of young people that justifies a structured and continuous intervention in the target population. Intervention strategies were diversified and adapted to the young population, making peer education tangible in the training of young people in the specific protection of violence in intimate relationships. Teaching-learning has to bring theory and practice closer. Research and intervention in Community Nursing can be supported by the use of research action strategies, peer education and by integrating intervention projects focusing on the worrying legitimation of violence in the intimate relationships of young people.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Enhanced Perspective Generation by Consensus of NeX neural models

    Get PDF
Neural rendering is a relatively new field of research that aims to produce high quality perspectives of a 3D scene from a reduced set of sample images. This is done with the help of deep artificial neural networks that model the geometry and color characteristics of the scene. The NeX model relies on neural basis expansion to yield accurate results with a lower computational load than the previous NeRF model. In this work, a procedure is proposed to further enhance the quality of the perspectives generated by NeX. Our proposal is based on the combination of the outputs of several NeX models by a consensus mechanism. The approach is compared to the original NeX for a wide range of scenes. It is found that our method significantly outperforms the original procedure, both in quantitative and qualitative terms.Universidad de Málaga. Campus de Excelencia Internacional Andalucía Tech

The disposal of PET packaging in landfills, combined with reduced rates of reuse and recycling of the material result in governamental movements in search of more suitable solutions to the environment. The responsibility of manufacturers for packaging of their products is a trend that consolidates every day. In the beverage industry, the reverse logistics of packaging can become reality in the coming years. Laws are being dealt to blame the manufacturers for collecting the packaging, as occurs in the crop protection industry. Concerning the presented context, this study aims to understand what would be the impact of a government decision of this nature, as well as factors, constraints and bottlenecks to effective implementation of policies of reverse logistics of PET. Thus, the working method used initiated by a literature search, which served as the basis for assessments of future context, following the technique of scenario planning. Among the main findings, it was found that many companies will have immense trouble following this market from this new law.O descarte de embalagens PET em aterros sanitários, aliado a reduzidas taxas de reuso e reciclagem do material resultam em movimentos governamentais na busca por soluções mais adequadas ao meio ambiente.

    Get PDF
