Desarrollop galénico de nuevas formulaciones de anfotericina B

    Get PDF

    Get PDF

Maslinic Acid Enhances Signals for the Recruitment of Macrophages and Their Differentiation to M1 State

The inflammatory process is involved in the genesis and evolution of different diseases like obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Macrophages play a central role in inflammation. In addition, they can regulate some stages of cancer development. Macrophages can polarize into M1 or M2 functional phenotype depending on the cytokines present in the tissue microenvironment. On the other hand, triterpenes found in virgin olive oil are described to present different properties, such as antitumoral and anti-inflammatory activity. The present study was designed to elucidate if the four major triterpenes found in virgin olive oil (oleanolic acid, maslinic acid, uvaol, and erythrodiol) are able to enhance M1 macrophage response which represents an important defense mechanism against cancer. Our results indicated that maslinic acid modulated the inflammatory response by enhancing the production of IL-8, IL-1α, and IL-1β; it promoted M1 response through the synthesis of IFN-γ; and finally it did not modify significantly the levels of NFκβ or NO. Overall, our results showed that maslinic acid could prevent chronic inflammation, which represents a crucial step in the development of some cancers

The capacity of coaches to enable or disable athletes' engagement and ability to reach their potential through the quality of the relationship they develop with them has received substantial research attention, yet the equivalent dyad in dance contexts-the teacher-dancer relationship-has remained relatively unexplored. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to extrapolate Jowett's 3C's Coach-Athlete Relationship Model to the dance context and adapt and validate a Spanish translation of the CART-Q, a psychometric tool that has been extensively used to assess the coach-athlete relationship, to examine the teacher-dancer relationship. 175 Spanish dancers aged 18 to 40 (M = 22.47, SD = 4.85) of diverse performance levels and various dance disciplines completed the renamed Teacher-Dancer Relationship Questionnaire (TDRT-Q), the Spanish translation of the CART-Q adapted to dance contexts. A confirmatory factor analysis highlighted the hierarchical nature of the relationship as has been originally postulated containing Closeness, Commitment, and Complementarity. Overall the TDRT-Q demonstrated adequate psychometric properties. In line with these results, the 3C's model can be transferred to analyse the teacher dancer relationship. Moreover, the TDRT-Q can be used to assess the quality of the teacher-dancer relationship and further advance knowledge and understanding in this achievement-orientated performing arts context.

Dynamics of iterative families with memory based on weight functions procedure

[EN] In this paper, we analyze the stability of a parametric family of iterative methods with memory for solving nonlinear equations. This family is obtained from an optimal class of fourth -order schemes without memory designed by means of weight functions procedure. By studying the real fixed and critical points of the rational function resulting from the application of the family with memory on quadratic polynomials, the best elements of the family, in terms of absence of chaotic behavior, are selected. Finally, a numerical study is performed verifying the dynamical theoretical results. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. A unique set of reference planes which enters into the description of a three port E or H-plane tee-junction are its characteristics planes. These planes correspond to the positions of a short circuit at one typical port that will decouple a second port from one input port. The purpose of this paper is to establish these planes in the cases of microstrip and unilateral finline circuits. This is done in each case for a number of different geometries. The spacing between the first two characteristic planes across the junction is 360 deg. In the case of the H-plane tee junction, it is 180 deg in the case of the E-plane geometry. The authors would like to thank the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN) by the financial support provided through project TEC2011-29126-C03-01 and CONSOLIDER-INGENIO 2010 CSD2008-00068

A dual linear polarization feed antenna system for satellite communications

    Get PDF
A dual lineal polarization feed antenna system for satellite communication will be described. It consists of a turnstile-based orthomode transducer (OMT) and two identical duplexers formed by a plane T-junction and of two iris filters. This 4-ports subsystem transmits and receives radio frequency signals in double track in which the transmission Tx is made through two ports having as access the standard rectangular waveguide WR229 while the reception Rx is made through two ports having as access the standard rectangular waveguide WR159. The proposed subsystem overcomes the current practical bandwidth limitations by using a very compact octave bandwidth OMT along with two robust duplexers. The subsystem is working in the extended C-band, the 5.8-7.1 GHz range is used for the uplink, whereas the 3.6-4.8 GHz range is set to the downlink. The presented architecture exhibits a return loss better than 20 dB in all ports, an isolation between the different rectangular ports better than 70 dB and a transmission loss less than 0.15 dB in both frequency bands (3.6-4.8 GHz and 5.8-7.1 GHz) which represents state-of-the-art achievement in terms of bandwidth. This work was supported by the Ministerio de Educacion y Ciencia (Spain), Plan Nacional de I+D+I, Astronomy and Astrophysics program AYA2007-68058-C03-03, and the FPI grant BES-2005-6730.
