    Aprendizaje organizacional, una capacidad de los grupos de investigación en la universidad pública

    Una de las principales preocupaciones de las universidades que disponen recursos para la investigación, tiene que ver con la manera como pueden ser evaluados los procesos realizados por los grupos de investigación en términos de inputs, outputs, outcomes e impactos. Los sistemas de medición de la Investigación y Desarrollo se centran en los resultados alcanzados por los grupos en términos de producción, sin tener en cuenta procesos, alcances e impactos logrados, de tal modo que la sociedad en general no valora realmente el alcance y trascendencia de la función investigativa. Este trabajo considera el aprendizaje como uno de los outcomes importantes de estos procesos investigativos y busca determinar cómo se produce al interior de los grupos de investigación de una universidad pública en cada uno de los tres niveles: individual, grupal y organizacional, con una muestra conformada por 111 integrantes de grupos de investigación reconocidos por Colciencias, utilizando un método descriptivo de tipo transversal. Para tal fin se adaptó y se aplicó un instrumento desarrollado por Castañeda y Fernández (2006), que identifica cómo se produce el aprendizaje en cada uno de estos tres niveles, y se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad. Se analizó la información con el paquete estadístico SPSS V 11.5. Los resultados permiten determinar que el aprendizaje en esta universidad se da en los tres niveles considerados, sin embargo, el aprendizaje organizacional que se produce a partir de los grupos de investigación no es óptimo, el conocimiento de los investigadores no es usado para mejorar los procesos de la universidad ni para generar nuevos productos y servicios; así mismo, el aprendizaje de la universidad ante las presiones del entorno es ocasional. Por lo anterior, la universidad debe considerar mejorar su capacidad de respuesta hacia el entorno, con los elementos que tiene a través del conocimiento que los investigadores aplican

    The role of a public university in a global environment: networks and externalities of the R&D of the Cauca University

    This article analyzes indicators of science and technology, showing the participation of the University ofCauca in the generation of network externalities. The methodology addresses quantitative and qualitativedesigns. Consists of a descriptive study that covers the main indicators of R&D and network externalitiesfrom the view of the specialized literature, and an analytical study that uses the technique known asmethod of consensus panel of experts. The answers of the experts are processed to determine the level ofconsistency and identify indicators of R&D that facilitate the measurement of network externalities, suchas the production of new knowledge-related products; number of networks through programs ofpostgraduates in national conventions; and number of graduates in specializations, master’s and doctoralprograms

    La imagen y la narrativa como herramientas para el abordaje psicosocial en escenarios de violencia en los departamentos de Norte de Santander y Cauca.La construcción de este informe parte del estudio de los contenidos bibliográficos sintetizados en el desarrollo del diplomado de profundización de acompañamiento psicosocial en escenarios de violencia, contextualizado en nuestro país en diferentes territorios, una violencia presente por muchos años y que sigue latente, cuyas consecuencias implican la salud mental y física de muchas personas, quebrantando el tejido social de estos contextos sociales y demás sociedad; donde se presentan intereses de grupos legales como ilegales de tipo político y económico, que afecta la cultura y simbología en los diferentes ciclos de vida . Situaciones que deben propender a la no repetición, en el que dimensiona el rol de psicólogo al interior de grupos interdisciplinarios en dirección al restablecimiento de los derechos humanos como eje fundamental, cuyas herramientas de intervención psicosocial requieren generarse en forma participativa desde un enfoque narrativo analizando las subjetividades e intersubjetividades, que contribuya a la obtención de una nueva mirada crítica en las víctimas, con el objetivo de asumir su condición como sobrevivientes con recursos, habilidades, significados nuevos, bajo procesos de resiliencia que contribuyan a su dignidad, libertad y autonomía; de esta forma encontrando elementos en su pasado, para hacer uso de ellos en su presente y proyección futuro, aportando a su individualidad, familia y socialmente, reconstruyéndose el tejido social y a los procesos de paz. Siendo necesario trabajar con y para las comunidades mediante un enfoque diferencial.Building up this report takes off from the study of biographical studies summing up in the development of the course about “Profundización de Acompañamiento Psicosocial en Escenarios de Violencia” contextualized in different part of our country, a violence taking place through the years and keeps remaining, which consequences imply mental and physical health from many people, breaking up the social boundaries from these social environments and the rest of the society; where the legal and illegal political and economic interests are shown, changing the culture and symbology at different life ́s stages. There are situations that must avoid the repetition, where the psychological act is presented inside different interdisciplinary groups focusing on recovery of human rights as a main core, creating psychosocial tools as a participation from the narrative purpose analyzing the bias in all the aspects, contributing to get a new critical perception about the victims, achieving their condition as survivors with resources, skills, new meanings, under the resilience processes helping to their dignity, freedom and autonomy; in this way, finding elements from their past, to use them in their present and future lives, providing to their individuality, family and social development, rebuilding the social boundaries and the peace processes. So, it is necessary to work with and for the communities through the differential objective

    Prescription practices and medical knowledge on direct oral anticoagulants in a reference hospital

    ABSTRACT: Introduction and objective: The experience and knowledge concerning the use of direct oral anticoagulants among specialists in Medellin, Colombia, are not known. Our goal was to describe the use of these drugs in patients treated at Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe and to assess the level of knowledge regarding this issue in professionals from this institution. Materials and methods: Cross sectional study conducted between January 2012 and January 2013. Two strategies to collect information were used, namely: Analysis of relevant medical records and evaluation of knowledge about the appropriate use and prescription of direct oral anticoagulants in the group of medical specialists. Results: 114 records were included in the analysis; rivaroxaban was the most frequently prescribed drug (87%) followed by dabigatran (13%). The main indication was prophylaxis in orthopedic surgery (69%). Average of correct answers among the different specialists evaluated was 67% with no apparent difference between them. Conclusion: rivaroxaban was prescribed more often than dabigatran; however, this fact does not appear to be associated with a clear and sufficient medical knowledge about these drugs. No reports of adverse events associated with this therapy were found.RESUMEN: Se desconocen la experiencia y el conocimiento con los que cuenta el personal médico del medio en el manejo de los anticoagulantes orales directos. Se pretende describir el uso de estos medicamentos en los pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe y evaluar el nivel de conocimientos al respecto en los profesionales de la misma institución. Materiales y métodos: estudio de corte transversal en el período comprendido entre enero del 2012 y enero del 2013. Para recolectar la información se utilizaron dos estrategias: el análisis de las historias clínicas pertinentes y la evaluación de conocimientos sobre la prescripción y el uso de anticoagulantes orales directos en el grupo de especialistas facultados. Resultados: en el análisis se incluyeron 114 historias; el rivaroxaban fue el medicamento prescrito con mayor frecuencia (87%) seguido del dabigatrán (13%). La principal indicación fue la profilaxis en cirugía ortopédica (69%). Entre los especialistas evaluados, el promedio de respuestas acertadas fue del 67% sin diferencias aparentes entre los mismos. Conclusión: el rivaroxaban se prescribió con mayor frecuencia que el dabigatrán; sin embargo, este hallazgo no parece asociarse con un conocimiento médico claro y suficiente acerca de estos medicamentos. No se encontraron reportes de eventos adversos asociados al uso de los mismos

This PIE was abrogated by Na+/H+ exchanger or Na+/Ca2+ exchanger reverse mode inhibition. The production of ROS increased in response to Ang II treatment (ΔROS respect to control: 68±15 fluorescence units; P<0.05). The Ang II-induced PIE and ROS production were blocked by the Ang II type 1 receptor blocker losartan, the nonselective ET-1 receptor blocker TAK044, the selective ETA receptor blocker BQ-123, or the ROS scavenger N-(2-mercapto-propionyl)glycine. Exogenous ET-1 (0.4 nmol/L) induced a similar PIE and increase in ROS production to those caused by Ang II. Immunostaining for preproET-1, BigET-1, and ET-I was positive in cardiomyocytes. The preproET-1 mRNA abundance increased from 100±4.6% in control to 241.9±39.9% in Ang II-treated cells (P<0.05). We conclude that the PIE after exposure to 1 nmol/L Ang II is due to endogenous ET-1 acting through the ETA receptor and triggering ROS production, Na+/H+ exchanger stimulation, and Na+/Ca2+ exchanger reverse mode activation.Facultad de Ciencias Médica

    The Research Journey as a Challenge Towards New Trends

    The academic community of the department of Risaralda, in its permanent interest in evidencing the results of the research processes that are carried out from the Higher Education Institutions and as a product of the VI meeting of researchers of the department of Risaralda held in November 2021 presents its work: “The journey of research as a challenge towards new trends”, which reflects the result of the latest research and advances in different lines of knowledge in Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology and Information Sciences, which seek to solve and meet the demands of the different sectors.     Organizational learning: a capacity of the research groups at the public university

    One of the main concerns of the universities that have economical resources for research, is related to the way how the processes can be evaluated and carried out by the research groups in terms of their inputs, outputs, outcomes and impacts. The measurement systems for research and development are focused on the results achieved by groups in terms of production regardless of the processes, outcomes and impacts achieved, so that, in general, society does not value the real scope and significance of the research function. This work considers learning as one of the important outcomes of the investigative processes mentioned and seeks to determine how it occurs within the research groups of a public university in each of three levels: individual, group and organizational, with a sample formed by 111 members of research groups recognized by Colciencias ,using a descriptive cross-sectional method. For this purpose there was adapted and applied an instrument developed by Castaneda and Fernandez (2006), which identifies how learning occurs in each of these three levels, and in-depth interviews were conducted. The information was analysed with the statistical package SPSS 11.5 V. The results obtained allowed the determination that the learning in this University occurs in the three levels considered, however, organizational learning that occurs in the research groups is not optimal, the knowledge of the researchers is not used to improve the processes of the University or to generate new products and services. In the same way the learning of the university in the face of the pressures from the environment is casual.
