Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) are an emerging technology for large scale circuit integration, owing the availability of both p- and n- channel devices. For the technology development and the design of circuits and digital systems, the accurate physical modeling is mandatory. In this work we propose an unified analytical model for both p- and n- type OTFTs. The model is physically based and accounts for a double exponential density of states (DOS). It is simple, symmetric and accurately describes the below-threshold, linear, and saturation regimes via a unique formulation. The model is eventually validated with the measurements of complementary OTFTs fabricated in a fullyprinted technolog

Printed organic TFTs on flexible substrate for complementary circuits

Organic Thin film Transistors (OTFT) have been widely investigated in these last years as potential candidate for the development of low cost, flexible and lightweight active-matrix backplanes for display applications. Indeed the organic semiconductors provide both promising electrical performances tunable by chemistry and the ability to be processed at low temperature with innovative printing technics on various large scale substrates. Thanks to the recent developments on both n-type and p-type solution-processed organic semiconductors, we have developed a printable organic complementary technology compatible with flexible PEN substrates. By combining state of the art materials exhibiting mobility in the range of 1 cm 2 /V.s and silicon inspired compact modeling and simulation approach, we were able to design and fabricate circuit's building blocks that provide the switching, digital and analog functions required for the fabrication of printed systems on foil

Inkjet printing of organic electrochemical immunosensors

International audienceWe present the fully-printed manufacturing of a biologically-functionalized organic electrochemical transistor (OECT). The channel and the electrodes (source, drain and gate) are based on PEDOT:PSS ((Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):Polystyrene sulfonate)) deposited by inkjet printing. Murine monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) directed against ovalbumin epitopes printed on top of the semiconducting polymer channel should be able to detect ovalbumin antigens in biological solutions. First tests performed with a saline electrolyte confirm the transistor behavior of the printed OECT before and after antibodies patterning

Författare Lynard, M. Det glömda rummet. TrÀdgÄrd som vÀlbefinnande miljö för ensamkommande barn? Examensarbete i socialt arbete 30 högskolepoÀng. Author Lynard, M. The forgotten room. Garden as a comforting environment for unaccompanied minor refugees?Thesis in social work 30 University points. Malmo hogskola. Faculty for health and society, institution for social work 2016.The purpose with this study is to investigate if unaccompanied minors who are placed in foster homes would attain a better health when using the outdoor environment which is in the vicinity of the foster homes in which they are placed. The purpose is also to investigate if its possible to use time in the garden as a method in the foster homes. This study has been done through interviews with unaccompanied minors who lives in a foster home, and through interviews with staff working in a project were garden was a method in their social work. There is research showing that time in the garden environments can improve health for stress patients. There is also research showing that time in the garden gives a feeling of coherence and a sense of being in the presence. Those who have fled from war have often been exposed to traumatizing experiences which in various ways leads to mental illness. The symptoms can be stress, disruption of sleep, post traumatic stress disorder or anxiety. The municipality is responsible to aid the unaccompanied minors to attain a better mental health, but the knowledge on how to provide the aid is insufficient. It was important to investigate the idea to use time in the garden as a means to help these minors improve their health. The result of the study shows that unaccompanied minors has a desire to stay more time in the garden. They describe the garden as a place were they can connect to memories from their native country and thereby feel a sense of coherence. The garden and the cultivation of it gives a coherence which is important to create a new identity in their new country. The investigation has shown that the garden can be a place were the unaccompanied minors can regulate their emotions and a place were they can access positive emotions and hence feel better. It can infuse important conversations between the minor and staff when they do things together in the garden. These conversations differ from the conversations that take place indoors, which tend to deal with routine and structures of the foster home. These conversations can be vital in many aspects, like establishing relations, to be seen and heard and build a bridge between the past and the present. This can help the unaccompanied minors to improve their health
