ABSTRACTAssimilation as a social process that arises when there are groups of people with different cultural backgrounds, the Aneuk Jamee and Kluet Tribes receive each other's pattern of behavior so that in the end it becomes an integrated new group. Indonesian society is a pluralistic society in terms of ethnic, linguistic, religious and customs. Cultural diversity also occurs, especially in Meursak and Jamboe Papan villages, Kluet district, South Aceh regency. There are several ethnic groups living together that create a union between culture or ethnic culture. This cultural assimilation takes place in the marriage and structural relationship between the Aneuk Jamee tribe and the Kluet Tribe, where there are two distinct cultures, resulting in the intermingling of the two tribes. This study aims to describe the Assimilation between Aneuk Jamee Tribe by Kluet Tribe (Study in Meursak Village and Jamboe Papan Kecamatan Kluet Tengah Kabupaten Aceh Selatan). The theory used is the theory of assimilation Milton M. Gordon. The research method used is qualitative explanative descriptive approach by conducting interviews and observation as data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that the assimilation approach is used based on the vision that a community consisting of several ethnics can coexist with the exclusion of differences in order to achieve the goal of living together. The differences can be cultural differences derived from the various ethnic groups domiciled in Kluet Tengah District. From the assimilation there is an attitude of cultural tolerance and sympathy demonstrated by the Aneuk Jamee Tribe Society and the Kluet Tribe walaupum both have different backgrounds, so there is minimal conflict in the area. One of the factors that make them able to tolerate each other in Social-Culture is the role of religion and religious activities undertaken, education and livelihood is also a supporting factor in tolerating inter-socio-culture.

    Get PDF
This study focuses on the parameter estimation and outlier detection for some types of the circular model. We first look at the concentration parameter of von Mises distribution. The von Mises distribution is the most commonly used probability distribution of a circular random variable, and the concentration of a circular data set is measured using the mean resultant length. We propose a new and efficient approximation of the concentration parameter estimates using two approaches, namely, the roots of a polynomial function and minimizing the negative value of the log-likelihood function in this study

    Get PDF
Efficient release of fermentable sugars from the complex biomass structure such as second-generation or third-generation feedstocks by an appropriate enzymatic hydrolysis needs a prior biomass fractionation. This process facilitates the exposure of more cellulose and hemicelluloses for enzymatic hydrolysis. This review focused on ‘green fractionation’ of biomass by applying the principles of green chemistry for bioethanol production. Besides, the recent technological achievements in applying these principles for the fractionation have been discussed. For green fractionation, energy delivery systems are referred to as microwave and ultrasound. Besides, green cellulose solvents, biomass-derived solvents, and supercritical carbon dioxide play an important role in green biomass fractionations. Furthermore, ball milling and biological treatment are significantly considered in this regard. These novel technologies are superior processes than conventional fractionation techniques in terms of energy and mostly environmental point of view

Islamic architecture, which is based on the Islamic school, has been shaped by the total awareness of architects’ of techniques of architecture and adherence to the principles of geometry and inspired by religious beliefs. Principles of geometry and religious beliefs caused certain patterns to take shape in Islamic architecture that were used in designing buildings including mosques. With the advancements in technology, architecture entered a new stage considering the form of construction and the buildings. Islamic architecture and mosque, which is the primary symbol of Islamic architecture, are not different and consequently went through changes in forms and patterns. In this paper, the purpose is to express the place of patterns of Islamic Architecture in the mosques of the third millennium. The method used is descriptive-analytic and the mosques of the third millennium are the statistical population and ten of them are the statistical sample. The tools used are the library studies and the data has been analyzed using chars obtained from Excel. The result indicated that in the architecture of the mosques of the third millennium, the patterns of Islamic architecture have been fixed and proposed, and yet do create different designs that would be novel. In fact, the traditional patterns of Islamic architecture in the mosques of the third millennium included reaching epiphany in certain ways, the effort to achieve the principle of unity, the main concern for being monotheism, unity in meaning and body, considering the background, the struggle to reach perfection, regularity and symmetry in body, meaning and function, justice and equilibrium in totality and its components, utilizing the natural and Islamic shapes, the lack of individuality and anonymity while facing the work, and the act of constructing the building as an act of worship
