The article considers the relationship of physical and cognitive development of children as well as the processes of memory and attention. They determine the readiness of a child for school education. The analysis of existing theories made it possible to single out the conditions for their development. There was conducted a study to check the level of memory and attention development of 6-7-year-old children. Diagnostic results showed that the vast majority of children showed an average level of memorization, and a low level of attention development. The results of the diagnosis confirmed that the features of the mental development of the preschoolers do not allow a child to fix attention on subjects or actions for a long time, to maintain interest in the performed action. Physical development of children is at the average level. Unified patterns between the general level of mental development and the development of certain types of movements were revealed. Specially organized physical activity for children with a selection of exercises that require concentration of attention, memorizing patterns of movement, coordination will contribute to the development of memory and attention.

Complex partial synchronization patterns in networks of delay-coupled neurons

We study the spatio-temporal dynamics of a multiplex network of delay-coupled FitzHugh–Nagumo oscillators with non-local and fractal connectivities. Apart from chimera states, a new regime of coexistence of slow and fast oscillations is found. An analytical explanation for the emergence of such coexisting partial synchronization patterns is given. Furthermore, we propose a control scheme for the number of fast and slow neurons in each layer.DFG, 163436311, SFB 910: Kontrolle selbstorganisierender nichtlinearer Systeme: Theoretische Methoden und Anwendungskonzept

Formation of intercultural competence among schoolchildren in Great Britain

The study identifies the term intercultural competence and distinguishes its main components. The authors examine the experience of Great Britain in the formation of this competence among schoolchildren in the historical perspective from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present. The study of the main methods used in multicultural classes in Great Britain and in many countries of Europe made it possible to group them according to the components of intercultural competence. In order to identify the level of development of this competence among future teachers themselves, there were interviewed the students of Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University named after I.N. Ulyanov. The diagnostic assessment was also conducted for British students who showed a significantly higher level of tolerance compared to Russian students. Therefore, it was thought appropriate to refer to the experience of teacher training in Great Britain that has developed a certain system of training future teachers who are ready to work in a multicultural environment. The comparative analysis of the curricula of 15 leading universities in Great Britain revealed a number of features in teacher training, including the development of their readiness to work in a multicultural educational environment. The experience of Great Britain in the formation of intercultural competence among schoolchildren and future teachers made it possible to determine the directions and trends of their development in modern Russian education at two levels: at the level of school education and at the level of higher education related to the preparation of teachers for work in multicultural classes

Analytical Approach to the Calculation of Three-Dimensional Transducers for the Acoustic Control Methods

For diagnostic acoustic methods piezoelectric ceramic circular disks are typically used as active transducer elements. To calculate the response of such transducers, simplified numerical calculation methods, having limited applicability, are widely used. In the present work the strict analytical methods of elasticity theory have been used to calculate the three-dimensional vibrations of circular piezoelectric disks having a general dependence on both diameter and thickness. The approach we employed is based on the eigenfunction method of dynamic electric elasticity developed in [1]

The modern sociocultural situation of the development of society involves taking into account all aspects of human life in the educational process. Are our students - future preschool teachers - ready to build their activities taking into account socio-cultural aspects. The authors consider the characteristic of readiness, highlighting motivational and value-based component (awareness of the importance of their process, readiness for continuous improvement and professional development, highlighting the values of professional activity), activity-technological component (knowledge of the ways of interaction with the subjects of the pedagogical process, design of the educational and educational process, the use of modern teaching tools (IT), information and knowledge component (knowledge of the specifics of preschool childhood, modern trends in the development of society and education, learning technologies). The study shows the insufficient level of development of the 2nd and the 3rd components of the readiness of future teachers. The proposed methods of professional training of future teachers of preschool education are associated with the use of business games, conducting master classes, studying the technological component of the educational process

Aim – scientific substantiation of the ways to optimize preventive childhood medicine under the health care system reform in Ukraine. The medical, sanitary and epidemiological conditions of children’s stay were studied at 147 schools in five oblasts of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv. The following methods were used: system analysis, analytical, mathematical and statistical, bibliosemantic, modeling and expert assessments. The results of an expert assessment (224 specialists) on the optimization of medical services for schoolchildren were analyzed. The main risk factors for schoolchildren staying at educational institutions were identified: daily routine failure, non-compliance with the hygiene requirements for the premises where the educational process is carried out, as well as failure in food and water quality and safety. The levels of medical observation provision were analyzed. There were suggested two ways of maintaining the role of medical personnel in preserving and enhancing the health of schoolchildren: involving doctors of primary care centers of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and creating an autonomous medical service in the institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in accordance with the current licensing requirements. The issues of prevention and promotion of children's health, including schoolchildren, are one of the key aspects of the training of medical personnel at all stages. Such programs need to be modernized on the basis of a competency approach, taking into account the current needs of the health care system and the best international experience in resolving these issues
