    Modified effects of LDPE/EVA blends by electron beam irradiation

The improvement of the measured gel content, stress at ultimate, strain at Auto breaks and transition temperatures (Tg, Tm) have confirmed the positive effects on blends but ineffective in density of blends

    Preparation and characterisation of polyethylene-octene grafted maleic anhydride-toughened 70:30 PA6/PP/MMT nanocomposites

    A series of nanocomposites consisting of a polyamide 6 (PA6) and polypropylene (PP) matrix (70:30) with a maleated polyethylene-octene elastomer (POEgMAH) and organophilic modified montmorillonite (MMT) were prepared by melt compounding in a co-rotating twin-screw extruder followed by injection moulding. The weight fraction of organoclay was adjusted from 2 - 10 wt% by increments of 2 wt% and the weight fraction of POEgMAH was fixed at 10 wt%. POEgMAH was used as an impact modifier as well as compatibiliser in the nanocomposites. Mechanical properties of the blends were investigated by tensile, flexural and impact testing. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to characterise the nanocomposites. The thermal properties were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Addition of 4 wt% organoclay showed the highest tensile and flexural strengths for the blends. The Young's and flexural moduli were also improved with increasing the organoclay concentration but with a corresponding reduction in impact strength and elongation at break. XRD result revealed that the organoclay was dispersed uniformly (exfoliated) although the degree of exfoliation decreased with increasing organoclay content. The DSC analysis showed that the crystallinity of the blends decreased with increasing organoclay concentration. It was shown from the TGA analysis that the thermal stability of the PA6/PP nanocomposites was significantly improved in the presence of impermeable silicate layers in the blends

    Toughening polyamide 6 nanocomposites with maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene octene

    Rubber toughened nanocomposites consisting of ternary blends of polyamide 6 (PA 6), maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene octene (POEgMAH) and organoclay montmorillonite (MMT) were prepared by melt compounding followed by injection moulding. The organoclay content was kept constant at 4 wt% while the POEgMAH content was varied between 5 to 20 wt%. The mechanical properties were studied through tensile, flexural and impact properties. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to examine the morphology of the nanocomposties. The results showed that, the incorporation of 4 wt% organoclay significantly increased the stiffness and strength but at the expense of the toughness. Izod impact measurement indicated that the addition of POEgMAH led to a significant improvement in the impact strength of the nanocomposites. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) revealed that an intercalation organoclay silicate layer structure was formed in rubber-toughened PA6 nanocomposites. SEM study revealed a two-phase morphology where POE, as droplets was dispersed finely and uniformly in the PA6 matrix

Pihak Dinas terutama Bidang Perindustrianbelummemilikirancangan yang jelas untuk membangun sistem CRM. Subyek padapenelitian ini adalah “Pembuatan Model CRM di Bidang PerindustrianDisperindagkop DIY”. Tahapan Penelitian ini antara lain analisis yaitu analisis saa tini, Perhitungan Cobit 4.1, analisis kondisi yang diharapkan, analisis GAP, pembuatan model CRM, uji kelayakan dan Rekomendasi.     Kegiatan Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan program yang terintegrasi untuk mengembangkan kompetensi mahasiswa program pendidikan sebagai calon guru atau tenaga kependidikan. Dalam pelaksanaan PPL, mahasiswa melaksanakan tugas-tugas kependidikan, dalam hal ini guru atau tenaga pendidik yang meliputi kegiatan praktik mengajar, dan kegiatan non kependidikan. Program PPL ini meliputi pelaksanaan praktik mengajar terbimbing sebanyak 4 kali yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18, 26, 31 Agustus 2015 dan 2 September 2015 dan ujian praktik mengajari sebanyak 2 kali yang dilaksanakan tanggal 4 dan 10 September 2015. Praktik mengajar terbimbing dan ujian praktik ini meliputi pembuatan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, persiapan dan pembuatan media, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PPL meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu, tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan analisis hasil. Tahapan persiapan PPL meliputi Micro Teaching, pembekalan PPL, observasi sekolah, mengumpulkan materi ajar, mempelajari silabus dan menyusun RPP. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi praktik mengajar terbimbing dan ujian mengajar. Tahap analisis hasil berisi hasil, hambatan, solusi, dan refleksi. Pada pelaksanaan program PPL di SD Negeri Karangjati berjalan dengan baik. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, semua mampu teratasi berkat kerjasama yang baik antara mahasiswa PPL dan pihak sekolah. Dukungan dari berbagai pihak terutama pihak sekolah sendiri sangat membantu kelancaran pelaksanaan program PPL di sekolah tersebut.     BAZNAS Palembang City is a legally valid Amil Zakat Institution that has the legality to carry out activities for collecting and distributing zakat, infaq, and shadaqah from the wider community. By looking at the high potential of zakat, especially in the city of Palembang, the potential for collecting zakat is very high. This high potential should be supported by professional and trustworthy zakat collection management. Therefore, this study is intended to determine how the formulation of the fundraising strategy applied by the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Palembang City and how to implement and evaluate its implementation in an effort to increase the trust of muzakki. The type of research conducted by the author is field research by taking the research location at BAZNAS Palembang City and using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection method used interviews, observation, and documentation. While the data analysis technique in this study used a qualitative descriptive technique, namely comparing the existing theory with the results of practice in the field and then drawing conclusions as answers to the problems sought. This study shows that the fundraising strategies implemented by BAZNAS Palembang City are broadly grouped into two types, namely: online fundraising strategies and offline fundraising strategies. Online fundraising strategies such as: digital methods, payroll systems, application methods and transfers via ATM/Mobile Banking.     The Relation between Reading Habit and Vocabulary Size of Seventh Semester English Department Students of Mulawarman University

    The purposes of the study were: (1) To find out seventh semester English Department students’ reading habit. (2) To find out seventh semester English Department students’ vocabulary size. (3) To find out the relationship between students’ reading habit and vocabulary size. The design of this study was correlational research design using quantitative approach. The population of this study was the seventh semester English Department students of Mulawarman University in the Academic Year 2018/2019 with the total sample of 50 students. The instruments used for the study were Reading Habit Questionnaire and Vocabulary Size Test. The time for collecting the data was different for each instrument in order to avoid errors or undesired results. Then, the researcher correlated the data using Pearson Product Moment Correlation formula in SPSS. This study showed three findings. First, it was found that the mean score of the reading habit questionnaire was 49.7, meaning that the students’ reading habit was classified as moderate. Second, it was found that the mean score of the vocabulary size test was 7968, meaning that the students’ vocabulary size fell in the category of Mid-Frequency level. Third, after analyzing the data using Pearson Product Moment formula, the researcher found that reading habit and  vocabulary size had a positive, yet “very low” correlation (with rcomputed = 0.188). Having positive “very low” correlation means that both the variables had the tendency of getting similar results, but then the tendency was weak. In other words, this means that students who got high score in their reading habit did not automatically get high score in the vocabulary size test, and vice versa. However, there might be some factors affecting the findings of the study. Therefore, further investigation on which other factors might affect reading habit and its relation with vocabulary size should be done in the future

    Rubber Toughened Polyamide 6/ Polypropylene Nanocomposites: Mechanical, Thermal And Morphological Properties

    Rubber-toughened nanocomposites (RTNC) consisting series of compatibilized polyamide 6 / polypropylene (PA6/PP) blends, of composition 100/0, 70/30, 50/50, 30/70 and 0/100, polyethylene-octene elastomer (POE) and organophilic modified montmorillonite (organoclay) were produced by melt compounding followed by injection moulding. Polypropylene grafted maleic anhyride (PPgMA) was used as compatibilizer. Subsequently, for PA6/PP (70/30), the POE and organoclay loading was varied between 5 and 20 wt% and 2-6 wt%, respectively. For the optimum particles dispersed in the PA6 matrix, was characterized by scanning electron of a formulation, four different types of elastomer were incorporated into the blends i.e. ethylene-octene elastomer (POE), ethylene-propylene elastomer (EPR), maleated POE (POEgMAH) and maleated EPR (EPRgMAH). For the selected formulation, the nanocomposites were also prepared through different mixing sequence of melt intercalation i.e. direct, two times and two steps method. The mechanical properties were studied through tensile, flexural, Izod impact and fracture toughness testing. The morphology, essentially comprised of PP and POE microscopy (SEM). Wide angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to characterize the formation of the nanocomposites. The thermal properties were characterized by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermogravimetry analysis (TGA).
