Estrategias de Inserción Sociolaboral con adolescentes institucionalizados: el caso de 'la Colonia San Vicente Ferrer'

La orientación hacia un modelo de intervención social sin precariedad y con mayores y mejores posibilidades para los adolescentes institucionalizados exige de la incorporación de procesos reivindicativos para introducir nuevas regulaciones y cambios profundos en la articulación de los planes y estructuras sociolaborales. Más aún en este momento de crisis. En nuestro caso, el desarrollo de prácticas integradoras con adolescentes sometidos a medidas judiciales de internamiento, se hace más complejo, no solo por los componentes de las medidas, sino también por las escasas oportunidades especializadas que el medio laboral promueve y los condicionantes circunstanciales que configuran la actividad diaria de los jóvenes: medio natural, tipo de recursos, limitaciones legales, características, patrones culturales, responsabilidad, estilos de socialización... etc

La figura i l'obra d'Adolf Salvà Ballester a l'Educació Primària, recerca i aplicacions didàctiques

En aquest TFG es preten realitzar un aprofitament didàctic de la figura d'Adolf Salvà Ballester (1885-1941) i de la seua obra, mitjançant la realització d'una Unitat Didàctica de 12 sessions, en l'àrea de Valencià: Llengua i Literatura, per a cinquè curs de Primària. Adolf Salvà contribuí a preservar la cultura popular del poble de Callosa d'en Sarrià i escrigué la seua història. Tot i amb això no és un personatge molt conegut ni al seu poble ni a la resta de la Marina Baixà. Així doncs, amb aquesta Unitat Didàctica intentarem contribuir a la difusió de la seu persona i de la seua obra. En el desenvolupament de la Unitat es veurà en primer lloc una breu biografia seua. Després es treballaran els jocs, les dites, els refranys, les cobles i les llegendes tradicionals de Callosa, recollides en les seues obres. Finalment, es portaran el folklore i la literatura popular als carres del poble

Determinació de la quaitat de l'aigua de la matjal Pego-Oliva per a la introducció del Samaruc

En aquest treball es determina, mitjançant l'observació de diferents paràmetres fisico-químics de l'aigua, si l'aigua de la marjal Pego-Oliva es troba, actualment, en bones condicions. En base a aquestes dades s'observen les possibilitats de reintroducció de samaruc, Valencia hispanica, en nous punts del parc natural així com establir la qualitat de les poblacions en els llocs on ja es troba l'espècie. Recognition of Japanese handwritten characters with Machine learning techniques

The recognition of Japanese handwritten characters has always been a challenge for researchers. A large number of classes, their graphic complexity, and the existence of three different writing systems make this problem particularly difficult compared to Western writing. For decades, attempts have been made to address the problem using traditional OCR (Optical Character Recognition) techniques, with mixed results. With the recent popularization of machine learning techniques through neural networks, this research has been revitalized, bringing new approaches to the problem. These new results achieve performance levels comparable to human recognition. Furthermore, these new techniques have allowed collaboration with very different disciplines, such as the Humanities or East Asian studies, achieving advances in them that would not have been possible without this interdisciplinary work. In this thesis, these techniques are explored until reaching a sufficient level of understanding that allows us to carry out our own experiments, training neural network models with public datasets of Japanese characters. However, the scarcity of public datasets makes the task of researchers remarkably difficult. Our proposal to minimize this problem is the development of a web application that allows researchers to easily collect samples of Japanese characters through the collaboration of any user. Once the application is fully operational, the examples collected until that point will be used to create a new dataset in a specific format. Finally, we can use the new data to carry out comparative experiments with the previous neural network models

Even convexity, subdifferentiability, and Γ-regularization in general topological vector spaces

In this paper we provide new results on even convexity and extend some others to the framework of general topological vector spaces. We first present a characterization of the even convexity of an extended real-valued function at a point. We then establish the links between even convexity and subdifferentiability and the Γ-regularization of a given function. Percepciones de los servicios sociales y representaciones de los trabajadores sociales.

El trabajo que hoy presentamos es una parte de los resultados del Seminario de Investigación realizado en la materia de Psicología Social de los estudios de Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Valencia durante el año 1999. En dicho Seminario hemos tratado de aplicar el conocimiento obtenido en las materias de Cognición y Pensamiento Social al objeto de los Servicios Sociales y los Trabajadores Sociales. De los resultados y conclusiones obtenidas destaca la existencia de un porcentaje cercano al 60% de la población que tiene un nivel muy alto de desconocimiento y desintormación sobre los Servicios Sociales y los trabajadores sociales, resultado que contradice los elementos universalizadores y generalistas de este nivel de intervención social. También resaltamos de las conclusiones los elementos de evaluación positiva, independientemente del nivel de uso y conocimiento. Tanto sobre los Servicios Sociales como de los trabajadores sociales constatamos una proyección clara hacia una evaluación positiva. Ello nos indica un nivel de elaboración de representaciones con mecanismos de anclaje sobre una ideología de defensa de la protección social, como un valor propio a mantener.The work we present here is part of the results of the seminar of research done on the subject of social psychology of the studies on social work in the University of Valencia during the year 1999. On Finite Linear Systems Containing Strict Inequalities

This paper deals with linear systems containing finitely many weak and/or strict inequalities, whose solution sets are referred to as evenly convex polyhedral sets. The classical Motzkin theorem states that every (closed and convex) polyhedron is the Minkowski sum of a convex hull of finitely many points and a finitely generated cone. In this sense, similar representations for evenly convex polyhedra have been recently given by using the standard version for classical polyhedra. In this work, we provide a new dual tool that completely characterizes finite linear systems containing strict inequalities and it constitutes the key for obtaining a generalization of Motzkin theorem for evenly convex polyhedra.This research was partially supported by MINECO of Spain and ERDF of EU, Grants MTM2014-59179-C2-1-P and ECO2016-77200-P

On Evenly Convex Sets and Functions

A subset of R^n is said to be evenly convex (e-convex, in breaf) if it is the intersection of some family (possibly empty) of open halfspaces. In this paper, we collect some published results which show that this large class of convex sets enjoys a lot of the well-known properties of the subclass of closed convex sets. The transcriptional inhibitor thiolutin blocks mRNA degradation.

Thiolutin is commonly used as a general inhibitor of transcription in yeast. It has been used to calculate mRNA decay rates by stopping the transcription and then determining the relative abundance of individual mRNAs at different times after inhibition. We report here that thiolutin is also an inhibitor of mRNA degradation, and thus its use can lead to miscalculations of mRNA half-lives. The inhibition of mRNA decay seems to affect the mRNA degradation pathway without impeding poly(A) shortening, given that the decay rate of total poly(A) amount is not reduced by thiolutin. Moreover, the thiolutin-dependent inhibition of mRNA degradation has variable effects on different functional groups of genes, suggesting that they use various degradation pathways for their mRNAs

Identities and representations of social work

En nuestro trabajo, presentamos el conocimiento de la realidad social desde las dimensiones constructivista e interaccionista, teniendo en cuenta el punto de vista del "público", desde la posición de reconocer una mayor riqueza en el conocimiento que se obtiene desde la "intersubjetividad". En el proceso de investigación, llegamos a la complementariedad metodológica, valiéndonos del enfoque cuantitativo para construir las "imágenes", objetivas y mediante el enfoque cualitativo, contando con la perspectiva del estudio de un caso, las audiencias de una serie "Raquel busca su sitio" obtenemos las imágenes del público o intersubjetivas. Ambos componentes, las imágenes y el público del Trabajo Social, nos ayudan a explicar la identidad colectiva de los trabajadores sociales. Nos posicionamos ante los análisis cuantitativos y cualitativos de nuestros resultados, para construir la nueva identidad colectiva de los trabajadores sociales, deteniéndonos además: en la perspectiva del cambio respecto de las identidades colectivas (las imágenes), en la influencia poderosa de los medios de comunicación social como instrumento socializador del Trabajo Social, y en la importancia de la audiencia de la serie (el público) como grupo influyente, aunque sea desde el reconocimiento de su cualidad minoritaria.This work examines social reality from a constructivist and interactive perspective, considering “intersubjectivity” as an enriching element of public knowledge. During our research process, we studied the audience’s intersubjective images of a TV series “ Raquel busca su sitio ” using used both the quantitative approach in order to build objective “images,” and the qualitative approach. Both images and audience of Social Work help us explain social workers’ collective identity. After analysing the quantitative and qualitative analysis of our results, we draw a new image of social workers, considering the changes observed collective identities (images), the powerful influence of media as a socialising element of Social Work and the importance of the TV show’s audience as an group of influence—though it will be considered for its minority qualities
