Valoración de activos y riesgo de liquidez enel mercado de valores chileno
This paper studies whether or not a premium exists for the risk of liquidity in the
Chilean stock market. Using the methodology in Fama and French (1993), liquidity
risk factors are constructed on the basis of 4 indexes which evaluate various models.
The results show the existence of a premium for liquidity risk, but this is captured by
more than a liquidity risk factor.
a varios modelos.
Laparoscopic diaphragmatic plication for paralysis posterior to trauma. Case report
Diaphragmatic paralysis is a pathology characterized by the elevation of a plastic and inactive atrophic diaphragm, followed by an injury to the spinal column or to the phrenic nerve. Because it involves the phrenic nerve, it is often associated with an injury at its exit in the spinal cord at the radicular level, at the conduct or in the peripheral nerve. Clinical case: A 50-year-old male patient with a history of thoracic trauma and diagnosis of unstable thorax is admitted for progressive dyspnea in the following 8 months. Diaphragmatic
paralysis is diagnosed and a laparoscopic diaphragmatic plicature is performed. Patient improved his clinical status by 29%. Discussion: The consequences of the elevation of a hemidiaphragm can be respiratory, causing
hypoxemia and decreases in the ventilation---perfusion ratio. This procedure is considered a corrective surgery from the morphological and functional point of view.
Conclusions: Our patient’s clinical status improved according to the Saint George respiratory questionnaire, thanks to an improved perfusion of the basal lung expansion. Laparoscopic diaphragmatic plicature is a safe procedure associated with a minimal hospital stay, and more cases need to be reported. This is the procedure of choice in our institution

Self-inflicted wound with a nail in the heart: case report
Adequate diagnosis and treatment of penetrating cardiac injury (PCI) represents a great challenge for the surgeon in the emergency department (ED) because of its high mortality. It is estimated that more than 90% of mortality happens before the patient reaches the hospital
and only 15---50% of those will receive appropriate medical treatment. Case report: A 42-year-old hemodynamically stable male is brought to the ED with a protruding nail in his thorax. He is taken to the operating room (OR) where a medial sternotomy is
performed and an injury is found in the left ventricle. Cardiac muscle repair is performed with pericardial patch. Discussion: PCI from a suicide attempt secondary to a nail hammered into the chest is very rare and no previous reports were found by the author. Conclusion: The objects that penetrate cardiac structures must be removed in a proper OR with capable personnel and the resources available to perform procedures like an urgent
thoracotomy or sternotomy
The present investigation treats about the study of vehicular traffic at the intersection of Av. Huamán with 28 de Julio Street, located in the district of Víctor Larco Herrera, rovince of Trujillo, with the objective of evaluating the delays, saturation, level of service and propose alternative solutions that optimize traffic in the area.
The investigation will be an applied and descriptive type, in which the intersection will be evaluated through a macroscopic model, under the methodology of the HCM-2010 Highway Capacity Manual, for which field work was carried out, where we took data such as the measurement of lanes, access roads, vehicle entry speed, traffic signal count and vehicle count, carried out in periods of 15 minutes for 7 days during peak hours, these being 7 :30 to 8:30 a.m., 01:30 to 02:30 p.m. and 06:30 to 07:30 p.m.
Then, with the data obtained, we proceeded to model the current traffic situation at the intersection, under the Two-Way Stop Controlled (TWSC) methodology contemplated in the Highway Capacity Manual HCM-2010, supported by Synchro 11.0 software, in which the necessary parameters were introduced, such as vehicle capacity, operating speed, lane measurement, rush hour factor, type of signals, etc. being for this case an intersection controlled by stop signs. From the previous modeling, it was obtained that the delay is 149.4 seconds/veh., with a service level F. Subsequently, alternative solutions were proposed that help optimize the vehicular flow, the most feasible being the restriction of the entry of heavy vehicles and some movements in the intersection, managing to reduce the delay to 32.9 sec/veh, with a level of service D.
In conclusion, the analyzed intersection presents congestion problems and a very low level of service, but with the present proposal, which consists of diverting vehicles through streets with little traffic flow, it is possible to reduce delays by 78%, thus achieving way to improve the level of service and optimize traffic in the area.Tesi
Perceived Psychological Well-Being Among University Students: A Comparative Study by Gender
The aim of the present study was to compare the profiles of well-being between men and women Mexican university students. A total sample of 708 participants, 374 women and 334 men, aged 18-26 years participated in this study. A quantitative approach with a descriptive and transversal survey design was used. All the participants completed the Spanish version of the Psychological Well-Being Scales. The results of the one-way multivariate analysis of variance, followed by the one-way univariate analyses of variance, showed that compared with the women, the men obtained higher scores on the subscales self-acceptance, positive relationships, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life and personal growth. Because of the differences between men and women in their perception of well-being found, these findings suggest that in order to design any intervention for improving the perceived well-being of the students, the variable gender should be taken into account
Six Collective Challenges for Sustainability of Almería Greenhouse Horticulture
Globally, current food consumption and trade are placing unprecedented demand on agricultural systems and increasing pressure on natural resources, requiring tradeoffs between food security and environmental impacts especially given the tension between market-driven agriculture and agro-ecological goals. In order to illustrate the wicked social, economic and environmental challenges and processes to find transformative solutions, we focus on the largest concentration of greenhouses in the world located in the semi-arid coastal plain of South-east Spain. Almería family farming, predominantly cooperative, greenhouse intensive production, commenced after the 1960s and has resulted in very significant social and economic benefits for the region, while also having important negative environmental and biodiversity impacts, as well as creating new social challenges. The system currently finds itself in a crisis of diminishing economic benefits and increasing environmental and social dilemmas. Here, we present the outcomes of multi-actor, transdisciplinary research to review and provide collective insights for solutions-oriented research on the sustainability of Almeria’s agricultural sector. The multi-actor, transdisciplinary process implemented collectively, and supported by scientific literature, identified six fundamental challenges to transitioning to an agricultural model that aims to ameliorate risks and avoid a systemic collapse, whilst balancing a concern for profitability with sustainability: (1) Governance based on a culture of shared responsibility for sustainability, (2) Sustainable and efficient use of water, (3) Biodiversity conservation, (4) Implementing a circular economy plan, (5) Technology and knowledge transfer, and (6) Image and identity. We conclude that the multi-actor transdisciplinary approach successfully facilitated the creation of a culture of shared responsibility among public, private, academic, and civil society actors. Notwithstanding plural values, challenges and solutions identified by consensus point to a nascent acknowledgement of the strategic necessity to locate agricultural economic activity within social and environmental spheres. This paper demonstrates the need to establish transdisciplinary multi-actor work-schemes to continue collaboration and research for the transition to an agro-ecological model as a means to remain competitive and to create value
Late myocardial reperfusion in ST-elevation myocardial infarction: Protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis
Introduction ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is the most severe clinical form of acute myocardial infarction, for which the current treatment consists of effective and timely myocardial reperfusion (within 12 hours of symptom onset). However, between 10% and 15% of patients with STEMI arrive at hospital facilities 12 hours after the onset of symptoms (late presentation). Therefore, the objective of the present study will be to determine if late revascularisation (12-72 hours after the onset of symptoms) affects the indicators of cardiovascular mortality, reinfarction, recurrent infarction, hospitalisation for heart failure and post infarction angina compared with no late revascularisation in patients with STEMI. Methods and analysis A systematic literature search of PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Embase, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Web of Science, Scopus and Global Health will be conducted. Publications in English, Portuguese or Spanish that report the clinical results of primary percutaneous revascularisation (primary PCI) in adult patients with STEMI 12-72 hours after the onset of symptoms will be included. Studies with participants with a diagnosis other than STEMI or patients with STEMI of >12 hours complicated by heart failure, cardiogenic shock or ventricular arrhythmias, and studies of combined interventions (pharmacoinvasive strategy) were excluded. Two independent authors will identify the relevant publications, and discrepancies will be adjudicated by a third author. Data extraction will be performed by two independent authors and verified by a third author. Risk of bias of studies will be assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias' tool (RoB 2) or Risk Of Bias In Non-randomised Studies - of Interventions (ROBINS-I) tool. If appropriate, a meta-analysis will be performed in order to examine the effect of late revascularisation in clinical outcomes of interest. Ethics and discussion This study will use published data only, thus, ethical approval will not be required. The results will be disseminated through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentations. PROSPERO registration number CRD42021283429.Revisión por pare
