Orientador: Profª. Drª. In 2006, the National Primary Care Policy (PNAB) was approved, which explains Family Health as a model for the reorganization of primary care in the Unified Health System (SUS) and, in 2011, with the proposal of Health Care Networks in Brazilian regions, Primary Health Care was defined as the gateway to the SUS. The pharmacist's role in PHC takes place through the Family Health Support Center and includes actions for dispensing medication and pharmaceutical guidance, home visits, support for health teams, individual care, management, support for the Family Health Strategy (ESF) and also participation in the Commission of Pharmacy and Therapeutics. It is known that medicines are the most used therapeutic resources in the world, however, part of society still lacks adequate access to medicines or their correct dispensing, being a fundamental role of the pharmacist to guarantee this right. Pharmaceutical care has as its principle the pharmacotherapeutic monitoring of patients, aiming at the achievement of desired therapeutic goals, seeking to prevent and solve pharmacotherapeutic problems in a systematic and documented way. Thus, the objective of this narrative review was to evaluate the role of the pharmacist in the scope of the Family Health Support Center, list the activities developed by the pharmacist within the scope of the NASF and discuss the importance of the pharmacist's activities in solving health problems of SUS users

    Get PDF

Women representation in soil science: gender indicators in the University Program of Interdisciplinary Soil Studies

IntroductionIn the world, 33% of soils are degraded, and 2.9 million people are affected by land degradation, with problems associated with food security, conflicts over natural resources, and migration with different impacts on men or women. To support sustainable soil management, it is necessary to include women’s contributions to soil Sciences; their achievements and academic performance still need to be represented. Women in Science represent 30% worldwide. In Mexico, only 24% of top academic positions are women. For commitment to soil Sciences for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UNAM created the University Program for Interdisciplinary Soil Studies (PUEIS).MethodsThis research evaluates women’s representation through gender indicators in the PUEIS and SNI datasets and discusses their implications for the gender gap in the soil Science community from Mexico. The data was collected with an online semi-structured survey and the gender indicators selected were related to participation, gender gap, sexism, equal opportunities, exclusion, and academic performance.ResultsThe results show that in the PUEIS, 54% of members identify themselves as women and 46% as men. The gender gap shows equality in the total number of members. However, low-rank jobs, such as lecturers and lab technicians are women dominated, and the top-ranked positions as a full professor, associate professor, and research scientist are equal. One result to consider for the PUEIS members is that the younger generation, as is the older generation, is dominated by men. This could indicate a setback in intermediate generations’ progress toward achieving gender equality. In the case of SNI members, there is a gender gap problem; of members with a Ph.D. degree, only 38% are women, and the elite group of scientists with a Ph.D. at the top position is represented only by 24% of females.DiscussionThis work constitutes the first gender exercise for analyzing women’s participation in the soil Sciences in Mexico. From our perspective, it is not about competition in scientific careers between women and men; however, it is essential to recognize that gender inequalities are related to income, professional development, and science funding inequalities, and these disparities impact women more than men

The present study aims at providing psychometric properties of the ATQ-8 in a Peruvian students sample. We worked with a non-probabilistic sample of 217 university students (68.7% women). Along with the ATQ-8, instruments to measure anxiety, depression, satisfaction with life, and mindfulness were used. Confirmatory factor analysis found an adequate fit of the one-dimensional model (CFI = .99, GFI = .99, RMSEA = .07, SRMR = .03). Likewise, alpha (.91) and omega (.90) reliability indices were obtained, which show adequate internal consistency. On the other hand, the items showed acceptable levels of discrimination (a) and difficulty (b) monotonous. The association of the ATQ-8 with other variables showed a statistically significant relationship with the DASS-21 (depression and anxiety), satisfaction with life (SWLS) and mindfulness (MAAS-5). The results show an adequate psychometric adjustment that supports its use in university students and for scientific research purposes.

We report the discovery of TOI-172 b from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) mission, a massive hot Jupiter transiting a slightly evolved G star with a 9.48-day orbital period. This is the first planet to be confirmed from analysis of only the TESS full frame images, because the host star was not chosen as a two-minute cadence target. From a global analysis of the TESS photometry and follow-up observations carried out by the TESS Follow-up Observing Program Working Group, TOI-172 (TIC 29857954) is a slightly evolved star with an effective temperature of T eff = 5645 ± 50 K, a mass of M ⋆ = {1.128}-0.061+0.065 M ⊙, radius of R ⋆ = {1.777}-0.044+0.047 R ⊙, a surface gravity of log g ⋆ = {3.993}-0.028+0.027, and an age of {7.4}-1.5+1.6 {Gyr}. Its planetary companion (TOI-172 b) has a radius of R P = {0.965}-0.029+0.032 R J, a mass of M P = {5.42}-0.20+0.22 M J, and is on an eccentric orbit (e={0.3806}-0.0090+0.0093). TOI-172 b is one of the few known massive giant planets on a highly eccentric short-period orbit. Future study of the atmosphere of this planet and its system architecture offer opportunities to understand the formation and evolution of similar systems

The TESS Objects of Interest Catalog from the TESS Prime Mission

    Get PDF
We present 2241 exoplanet candidates identified with data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) during its 2 yr Prime Mission. We list these candidates in the TESS Objects of Interest (TOI) Catalog, which includes both new planet candidates found by TESS and previously known planets recovered by TESS observations. We describe the process used to identify TOIs, investigate the characteristics of the new planet candidates, and discuss some notable TESS planet discoveries. The TOI catalog includes an unprecedented number of small planet candidates around nearby bright stars, which are well suited for detailed follow-up observations. The TESS data products for the Prime Mission (sectors 1-26), including the TOI catalog, light curves, full-frame images, and target pixel files, are publicly available at the Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes

Abstract Background Healthcare cannot achieve net-zero carbon without addressing operating theatres. The aim of this study was to prioritize feasible interventions to reduce the environmental impact of operating theatres. Methods This study adopted a four-phase Delphi consensus co-prioritization methodology. In phase 1, a systematic review of published interventions and global consultation of perioperative healthcare professionals were used to longlist interventions. In phase 2, iterative thematic analysis consolidated comparable interventions into a shortlist. In phase 3, the shortlist was co-prioritized based on patient and clinician views on acceptability, feasibility, and safety. In phase 4, ranked lists of interventions were presented by their relevance to high-income countries and low–middle-income countries. Results In phase 1, 43 interventions were identified, which had low uptake in practice according to 3042 professionals globally. In phase 2, a shortlist of 15 intervention domains was generated. In phase 3, interventions were deemed acceptable for more than 90 per cent of patients except for reducing general anaesthesia (84 per cent) and re-sterilization of ‘single-use’ consumables (86 per cent). In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for high-income countries were: introducing recycling; reducing use of anaesthetic gases; and appropriate clinical waste processing. In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for low–middle-income countries were: introducing reusable surgical devices; reducing use of consumables; and reducing the use of general anaesthesia. Conclusion This is a step toward environmentally sustainable operating environments with actionable interventions applicable to both high– and low–middle–income countries
