THE HOMO-ECONOMICUS MOTIVATIONAL POSTULATE AND THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL POLITICAL ECONOMY BY VIRGINIA SCHOOL If contributions made on Constitutional Polítical Economy have attracted poor attention in Spain, even poorer has been the attention paid to the methodological foundations upon which these contributions are built. The present paper deals with those methodological aspects of these theories, models, and proposals directly related to one of these foundations: the so-called homo-economicus motivational postulate. Revealing this foundation, lt will be showed the enormous influence the use of this motivational postulate has on the research outcomes, that is, on the proposal for constitutional reform. To achieve these goals, it will obviously be specially valuable to take account of the ideas elaborated on this topic by J. M. Buchanan, Nobel prize winner in Economics 1986 and worldwilde acknowledged leader of Virginia school.Si las aportaciones realizadas bajo el ámbito de la Economía Política Constitucional han recibido en España escasa atención, aún menor ha sido la atención prestada a los fundamentos metodológicos a partir de los cuales se elaboran dichas aportaciones. En el presente trabajo profundizaremos en el estudio de aquellos aspectos metodológicos de estas teorias, modelos y propuestas directamente relacionados con uno de esos fundamentos: el llamado postulado motivacional del homo-economicus. La explicitación de tal fundamentación hará evidente la enorme influencia que la adopción de este postulado motivacional tiene sobre los resultados de la investigación, esto es, sobre las propuestas de reforma constitucional. Para el logro de estos objetivos nos serán de especial ayuda, obviamente, las ideas y reflexiones elaboradas sobre el particular por J. M. Buchanan, premio Nobel de Economía 1986 y lider indiscutido de la Escuela de Virginia

The Methodological Individualism in a Theory of Political Institutions and Processes: The Public Choice Research Programm. In the present paper a positive analysis is developed of one of the methodological foundations of public choice Theory or research programm: the methodological individualism. J. M. Buchanan, nobel prize winner in economics 1986, is one of the founders fathers of this school and the most brilliant and powerfull mind in conceiving and building this research programm and the two exercises that make up bis protective belt: the Positive Theory of public choice (positive exercise) and the Constitutional Political Economy (normative exercise). The theory built through this research programm has come to be known as a NEW ECONOMIC thery of POLITICAL institutions and processes.En el presente trabajo se analiza uno de los fundamentos metodológicos sobre los que se elabora el denominado programa de investigación de la escuela de la Public Choice o escuela de Virginia: el individualismo metodológico. J. M. Buchanan, Premio Nobel de econmía 1986, es el líder indiscutible de esta escuela y el principal motor en la concepción y desarrollo de este programa y de los dos ejercicios teóricos que componen el cinturón protector del mismo: la Teoría Positiva de la elección pública (ejercicio positivo) y la Economía Política Constitucional (ejercicio normativo). The body in technological mediation: a short walk between presence and absence

[EN] In this paper we present a particular analysis about the role of the body and subjectivity in technological mediation. From the consideration of different approaches on the relevance of body on knowledge and action, we proceed to define a unitary notion of subjectivity which does not participate in Cartesian dichotomy between mind and body. The expression of this subjectivity is given in terms of representations and actions. We analyze the influence of technological mediation on this notion of subjectivity, and in the particular case of today's digital technologies we will try to explain the, so called, “disembodiment” of mediation and its effect on the possibilities of action.[ES] En este trabajo exponemos un análisis particular acerca del papel del cuerpo y de la subjetividad en la mediación tecnológica. A partir de la consideración de diferentes enfoques sobre la relevancia del cuerpo en el conocimiento y en la acción, procedemos a definir una noción unitaria de subjetividad que no participa de la dicotomía cartesiana entre mente y cuerpo. La expresión de esta subjetividad se da en términos de representaciones y acciones. Analizaremos la influencia de la mediación tecnológica sobre dicha noción subjetividad, y en el caso particular de las actuales tecnologías digitales trataremos de explicar la, así llamada, “descorporeización” de la mediación y su efecto sobre las posibilidades de la acción.Peer reviewe

De los discursos actuales sobre la discapacidad en España

In this paper we take under consideration the evolution of disability policies in Spain in the last 30 years to develop the idea that in this time has occurred what we call a ‘paradigm shift’ in the interpretation of this social category. To analyze this shift, we propose a discursive understanding of disability, based on joint consideration of practices, representations, values and multiple spaces in which discourses about disability are constructed. These discourses constitute the two paradigms involved in the mentioned change: the paradigm of rehabilitation and the paradigm of personal autonomy. We argue that in Spain this paradigm shift has not been complete, but has been unevenly in different spaces. From the proposed discursive approach we reviewed the paradigm shift in the legislative space, and we note the items that have hampered its implementation in other areas.En este artículo tomamos como marco de reflexión la evolución de las políticas sobre discapacidad en España en los últimos 30 años, para desarrollar la idea de que en este tiempo se ha producido lo que vamos a denominar un ‘cambio de paradigma’ en la interpretación de esta categoría social. Para abordar el análisis de este cambio proponemos una compresión discursiva de la discapacidad, basada en la consideración conjunta de prácticas, representaciones, valores y espacios múltiples en los que llegan a articularse discursos acerca de dicha noción. Estos discursos constituyen los dos paradigmas implicados en el cambio mencionado: el paradigma de la rehabilitación y el paradigma de la autonomía personal. Argumentamos que en España este cambio de paradigma no ha sido completo, sino que se ha dado de manera desigual en diferentes espacios. A partir del planteamiento discursivo que proponemos, realizamos el análisis de dicho cambio de paradigma en el espacio legislativo y señalamos los elementos que han dificultado su realización en otros espacios

The value of university internships

Production of INCASI Project H2020-MSCA-RISE-2015 GA 691004Universities place particular importance on their internship projects for university students. The purpose of this study is to identify if the internships have an impact on the students' entry to the labour market. The methodology used is based on the bivariate analysis and the multiple binary logistic regression technique, using data from the 2014 Survey on the Labour Insertion of University Graduates (EILU), carried out by the INE. The sample used comprises 30,379 graduates and in the internships section, 21,622 university graduates. The results obtained confirm that internships are a tool for job placement
