Method for Aspect-Based Sentiment Annotation Using Rhetorical Analysis
This paper fills a gap in aspect-based sentiment analysis and aims to present
a new method for preparing and analysing texts concerning opinion and
generating user-friendly descriptive reports in natural language. We present a
comprehensive set of techniques derived from Rhetorical Structure Theory and
sentiment analysis to extract aspects from textual opinions and then build an
abstractive summary of a set of opinions. Moreover, we propose aspect-aspect
graphs to evaluate the importance of aspects and to filter out unimportant ones
from the summary. Additionally, the paper presents a prototype solution of data
flow with interesting and valuable results. The proposed method's results
proved the high accuracy of aspect detection when applied to the gold standard
dataset
EGCG Treatment on Ts65Dn Mice Suggests a Possible Correlation in Cognitive Development Deficit Reduction
poster abstractDown syndrome (DS) is caused by trisomy of human chromosome 21 (Ts21), affecting 1 in 700 live births. Ts21 results in about 80 phenotypes of which intellectual disability (ID) is one of the most debilitating. DYRK1A, found in 3 copies in individuals with Ts21 has been linked to alterations in morphology and function of the brain resulting in ID. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a specific inhibitor of Dyrk1a activity has been hypothesized as a possible treatment for the overexpression of this gene, reducing the deficits caused by Dryk1a. Using the Ts65Dn mouse model, we examined the effects on hippocampal dependent learning and memory in the novel object recognition task (NOR) using mice of 3-6 weeks of age (adolescent mice). They were given free access to EGCG (0.124 mg/mL) in their drinking water for 21 days. They were then tested for cognitive improvement through NOR. Ts65Dn and control mice (treated and untreated) were subjected to 3 days of testing with 15 minute sessions per day consisting of habituation, exposure, and test day. All procedures were recorded and analyzed to determine time spent exploring novel object in relation to familiar. Our current results suggest that s65Dn mice do not spend as much time exploring the novel object as euploid mice and there exists a genotype effect, but treatment is not correcting the learning and memory deficit. We hypothesize that continuous EGCG treatment may be needed in order to see cognitive deficit reduction in adolescent mice
Compositional analysis of InAs-GaAs-GaSb heterostructures by low-loss electron energy loss spectroscopy
As an alternative to Core-Loss Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy, Low-Loss EELS is suitable for compositional analysis of complex heterostructures, such as the InAs-GaAs-GaSb system, since in this energy range the edges corresponding to these elements are better defined than in Core-Loss. Furthermore, the analysis of the bulk plasmon peak, which is present in this energy range, also provides information about the composition. Strain balanced quantum posts
Quantum posts are assembled by epitaxial growth of closely spaced quantum dot
layers, modulating the composition of a semiconductor alloy, typically InGaAs.
In contrast with most self-assembled nanostructures, the height of quantum
posts can be controlled with nanometer precision, up to a maximum value limited
by the accumulated stress due to the lattice mismatch. Here we present a strain
compensation technique based on the controlled incorporation of phosphorous,
which substantially increases the maximum attainable quantum post height. The
luminescence from the resulting nanostructures presents giant linear

Structure and diversity of shallow soft-bottom benthic macrofauna in the Gulf of Lions (NW Mediterranean).

92 sites between 10 and 50 m depth were used to assess (1)
the main soft-bottom macrofauna communities in the Gulf
of Lions, (2) the different components of the diversity of
benthic macrofauna in this area, and (3) the relevance of
the use of major taxonomic groups as surrogates for the
analysis of the structure and diversity of total macrofauna.
Three main communities were identified by cluster analysis
and associated procedures. These communities corresponded well to the assemblages recently identified on the
basis of polychaete composition. The a-diversity indices
were in accordance with those reported for similar communities in the Mediterranean. Conversely, the b-diversity
value was higher than the few other data available in the
literature for marine soft-bottom macrofauna. The total
number of species in the studied area estimated by the
‘‘total species accumulation curve’’ (TS) method was
2,319, which was only 10% higher than the number
obtained by extrapolation of the species–area curve. The
similarity matrix based on polychaetes correlated best with
the one based on total macrofauna. Polychaetes and crustaceans were also the best surrogates of total macrofauna
when assessing a-diversity (except in the case of D*).
Conversely, molluscs were the best surrogates of total
macrofauna b-diversity. Our results show that the choice of
an optimal surrogate for total benthic macrofauna depends
on the characteristic of the benthic macrofauna to be
studied. Moreover, this choice is also dependent on the

describe the on-line maneuver of the own ship minimizing the error of the estimâtes . To improve the robustness of the filter a

Emissões de N2o de um chernossolo cultivado : o tempo ideal do dia para amostragem e papel da temperatura do solo
1814-1819The correct use of closed field chambers to determine N2O emissions requires defining the time of day that best represents the daily mean N2O flux. A short-term field experiment was carried out on a Mollisol soil, on which annual crops were grown under no-till management in the Pampa Ondulada of Argentina. The N2O emission rates were measured every 3 h for three consecutive days. Fluxes ranged from 62.58 to 145.99 ug N-N2O m-2 h-1 (average of five field chambers) and were negatively related (R2 equal 0.34, p less than 0.01) to topsoil temperature (14 - 20 oC). N2O emission rates measured between 9:00 and 12:00 am presented a high relationship to daily mean N2O flux (R2 equal 0.87, p less than 0.01), showing that, in the study region, sampling in the mornings is preferable for GHG
