Intervenções otimizadoras do autocuidado nas consultas externas de enfermagem à pessoa com cancro da laringe submetida a laringectomia total

A laringectomia total mantém-se como tratamento de primeira linha nos carcinomas localmente avançados da laringe e da hipofaringe. As pessoas submetidas a laringectomias total enfrentam medos, ansiedade, tristeza e por vezes até depressão devido aos tratamentos, à possibilidade de recidiva e de complicações. Estas pessoas enfrentam dificuldades físicas, mentais e sociais, devido a alterações decorrentes da cirurgia, incluindo a nível comunicacional, dificultando o relacionamento com as outras pessoas. No pós-operatórios, as pessoas apresentam compromisso do autocuidado. A intervenção de enfermagem é fundamental para otimizar o autocuidado, ao nível do sistema de apoio e educação, sistematizando conteúdos educativos sobre défices de autocuidado, nomeadamente ao nível dos comprometimentos ao nível da ingestão de água e alimentos, do ar, do equilíbrio entre a solidão e comunicação social, do equilíbrio entre atividades e descanso (higiene, vestuário) e as atividades de lazer. Tendo em conta que era prática comum numa consulta externa de enfermagem de um hospital a prestação de cuidados a pessoas submetidas a laringectomia total, de forma não estruturada e não sistematizada, sem timings preconizados para realizar as consultas nos diferentes momento do percurso de doença, com ausência de instrumentos de colheita de dados, materiais audiovisuais, informações escritas e local próprio, surgiu a necessidade de desenvolver um projeto de intervenção intitulado “Intervenções de enfermagem optimizadoras do autocuidado nas consultas externa à pessoa com carcinoma da laringe submetida a laringectomia total”. A Teoria Geral do Autocuidado de Dorothea Orem foi o modelo teórico subjacente e a metodologia aplicada foi a de projeto, com realização de um protocolo de Scoping Review; três estágios em diferentes contextos hospitalares, a par com uma reflexão critica transversal. Foram elaborados instrumentos de colheita de dados e um plano educacional para a consulta de enfermagem. A implementação deste projeto permitiu-me desenvolver competências de Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na vertente oncológica e melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem optimizadores do autocuidado nas consultas externa à pessoa submetida a laringectomia total, em diferentes momentos, promovendo a sua autonomia e melhoria da sua qualidade de vidaTotal laryngectomy remains the first-line treatment for locally advanced carcinomas of the larynx and hypopharynx. People undergoing total laryngectomies face fears, anxiety, sadness and sometimes even depression due to the treatments, the possibility of recurrence and complications. These people face physical, mental and social difficulties, due to changes resulting from the surgery, including at the communication level, making it difficult to relate to other people. In the postoperative period, people have compromised self-care. Nursing intervention is essential to optimize self-care, in terms of the support and education system, systematizing educational content on self-care deficits, namely in terms of commitments in terms of water and food intake, air, the balance between loneliness and social communication, the balance between activities and rest (hygiene, clothing) and leisure activities. Bearing in mind that it was common practice in an outpatient nursing consultation at a hospital to provide care to people undergoing total laryngectomy, in an unstructured and non-systematized way, without recommended timings for carrying out consultations at different times in the course of the disease, with In the absence of data collection instruments, audiovisual materials, written information and a dedicated location, the need arose to develop an intervention project entitled “Nursing interventions that optimize self-care in outpatient consultations for people with laryngeal carcinoma undergoing total laryngectomy”. The General Theory of Self-Care by Dorothea Orem was the underlying theoretical model and the applied methodology was the project, with the implementation of a Scoping Review protocol; three internships in different hospital contexts, along with a transversal critical reflection. Data collection instruments and an educational plan for the nursing consultation were developed. The implementation of this project allowed me to develop skills as a Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the oncology aspect and to improve the quality of nursing care that optimizes self-care in outpatient consultations for people undergoing total laryngectomy, at different times, promoting their autonomy and improving their quality of life

Atomically controlled, self-limiting procedures for growth of aluminum oxide on SiC-on-Si

Abstract number 0451, Abstract book page P-02-008Electronic devices fabricated from SiC/Si epitaxial wafers will need surface passivation and insulating coatings. For solar cell applications – and in MOS systems – Al-oxide thin film coatings have some strong advocates, not the least due to the advances of the ALD process. We have grown SiC/Si, formed by a remote CH4 plasma interacting with Si surfaces in UHV. After growing the SiC/Si system (SiC thickness between 0.5 and 5 nm; polycrystalline) a self-limiting Si-oxide layer was grown on the surface, with a thickness of around 1 nm, at 7000C. On top of this layer we deposited approximately 1 nm of Al with a Knudsen atomic source (all steps in UHV) and then reacted it thermally (at 6000C) with the Si-oxide. We monitored all the process steps and the resulting structures of the layers and the interface using synchrotron radiation induced core level photoemission at ASTRID, Aarhus, Denmark. We found similar qualities with this procedure, as for Si, i.e. an atomically sharp interface between Al-oxide and SiC, and this reaction scheme offers self-limiting behavior both of the oxidation to create Si-oxide, and to the conversion into Al-oxide, which only needs a sufficient amount of Al to affect the total conversion of the Si-oxide, while excess Al will leave the system at sufficiently elevated temperatures.publishersversionpublishe

Alemanha e China : estudo comparativo da evolução económica (1980-2011) e análise das relações bilaterais de comércio e IDE

Mestrado em Economia Internacional e Estudos EuropeusA economia mundial está em mutação, tendência resultante das dinâmicas impostas pela globalização que transformou um mundo bipolar em multipolar, onde emergem agora novos protagonistas e novas parcerias estratégicas. Neste enquadramento, a dissertação compara as evoluções económicas da Alemanha e da China entre 1980 e 2011 e analisa as relações bilaterais sino-alemãs de comércio e IDE, procedendo: (i) à revisão teórica dos conceitos de crescimento económico, convergência, globalização, relações económicas internacionais e competitividade; e (ii) à análise de indicadores, entre os quais, macroeconómicos, setoriais, demográficos, competitividade, comércio e IDE. A capacidade de adaptação às exigências da globalização e os fatores competitivos nacionais são a base do sucesso destas performances. Com diferentes maturidades económicas, a Alemanha (gigante histórico) e a China (gigante emergente) estão entre as maiores economias do mundo e partilham a apologia histórica da industrialização, a estabilidade macroeconómica, a liderança do comércio internacional e o estatuto de economias superavitárias. Distinguem-se, designadamente, pelos ritmos de crescimento, pela posição líquida de investimento no estrangeiro, pela política cambial, pela composição da procura interna e pelo perfil de comércio internacional. As relações bilaterais demonstram uma parceria estratégica no comércio e no IDE com lucros recíprocos, afigurando-se, contudo, novos desafios resultantes do surgimento de argumentos de concorrência mútua e da reconfiguração da economia mundial. O estudo assume particular interesse perante a ainda reduzida panóplia de análises comparativas entre as economias alemã e chinesa e face a possibilidade de outras economias retirarem lições destas experiências de crescimento e cooperação económica.The world economy is changing. This is a tendency resulting from the dynamics imposed by globalization, which transformed a bipolar world into a multipolar one, where new protagonists and new strategic partnerships are now emerging. In this framework, the paper compares the German and Chinese economic evolutions between 1980 and 2011 and analyzes Sino-German trade and FDI bilateral relations, proceeding: (i) to the theoretical review of the concepts of economic growth, convergence, globalization, international economic relations and competitiveness; and (ii) to the analysis of indicators, including, macroeconomics, sectorial, demographic, competitiveness, trade and FDI. The capacity of adaptation to the globalization requirements and the competitive national factors are the basis to the success of these performances. Having different economic maturities, Germany (historic giant) and China (emergent giant) are among the biggest economies in the world and share the historic defense of industrialization, the macroeconomic stability, the international trade leadership and the surplus economy status. They differ, namely, by their economic rates growth, net outward investment, exchange rate policies, domestic demand composition and profile of international trade. The bilateral relationships demonstrate a strategic partnership in trade and FDI with reciprocal profits drawing, however, new challenges resulting from the emergence of arguments to mutual competition and from the reconfiguration of the world economy. This paper assumes particular interest facing the still reduced panoply of comparative analyses between German and Chinese economies and the possibility of other economies learn lessons from these experiences of economic growth and cooperation

This survey aims to discuss the information mediation and its relations with the oral narrative and life story as informational resource potentials for appropriation and knowledge construction. Thus, the guiding problem of this research is: what are possible relations among the mediation of information, oral narrative and the life story into the librarian work. The objective is to assess the conceptions of information mediation from the librarian work, seeking an approaching with the perspectives of the oral narrative and life story. From the literature review, this study concludes oral narratives and life stories set up as mediational phenomena in the process of appropriation of information and knowledge construction
