Revigrés: estudo de standards para a logística

O presente relatório descreve as atividades e o estudo desenvolvidos na empresa de revestimentos a grés, Revigrés, SA, no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Controlo de Gestão, do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração de Coimbra. A proposta lançada pela organização coloca o foco do estágio no desenvolvimento de standards para a logística, com o intuito de auxiliar o departamento de logística a obter melhorias ao nível da eficiência das operações. O desafio tem como objetivo o aumento da competitividade dos processos logísticos de armazém, através da utilização de métodos e técnicas para a eliminação dos desperdícios, redução de custos e aumento da qualidade. Para tanto, foi eleita a metodologia lean por esta evidenciar, através dos seus princípios, técnicas e práticas bem consolidadas, ser uma ferramenta de eleição para eliminar o desperdício e melhorar a eficiência global dos processos. A implementação dos princípios e práticas lean à logística é considerada na literatura uma das maiores fontes de vantagem competitiva para as organizações. Assim, a utilização dos standards surge para suportar a avaliação da capacidade das equipas e, de acordo com os valores apurados, realizar propostas de melhoria sustentadas na análise detalhada das operações logísticas conduzidas pelos operadores e assistentes de armazém. O trabalho realizado e o estudo de suporte que foi desenvolvido permitiram concluir a respeito da importância da normalização e otimização dos processos logísticos de armazém. Os resultados alcançados apontam a necessidade de adoção de estratégias e princípios de melhoria contínua, centrados na eliminação do desperdício e na criação de valor, que possibilitem a melhoria do desempenho logístic

Destruindo a estrela da morte: A utilização de um jogo de Star Wars no ensino de Química

As atividades lúdicas representam um recurso que auxilia na aprendizagem de uma forma divertida, além de promover maior interação entre os estudantes e também com o professor. Como a popularidade dos filmes vêm crescendo cada vez mais, eles podem ser um bom tema para se trabalhar uma atividade lúdica. A saga Star Wars teve uma grande influência para o cinema e principalmente para os fãs, essa série de filmes vêm conquistando várias gerações há mais de 40 anos. Pensando nisso, esse trabalho tem como objetivo elaborar um jogo envolvendo o universo de Star Wars e os conteúdos de Química, assim como fazer uma análise dos seus resultados para o ensino de Química. Para isso, o jogo foi aplicado em duas turmas do 2º ano do ensino médio do Colégio Módulo. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e a análise de resultados foi feita a partir de textos produzidos pelos alunos e observação da pesquisadora. Os resultados indicaram que os jogos ajudam a melhorar a interação entre os alunos além de motivar os alunos a esclarecer suas dúvidas, porém não comprovou que os alunos tenham aprendido mais o conteúdo. Por fim, podemos perceber que o lúdico pode servir como um bom recurso para o ensino de Química, porém cabe ao professor explorar bem o conteúdo durante as atividades, além de fazer uma síntese ao final das mesmas, lembrando que a diversão não deve ser o objetivo e sim, a aprendizagem dos educandos

LITERATURA E ESTÉTICA: UMA ANÁLISE LUKÁCSIANA DO CONTO O VERÃO FELIZ DA SENHORA FORBES, DE GABRIEL GARCÍA MÁRQUEZ

The present paper is based on the literary analysis of Gabriel García Márquez's short story known as Miss Forbes’s Summer of Happiness through the Lukács’s views on aesthetics. This narrative addresses the strict education imposed by a German governess on two Latin American brothers. From it, it is possible to build a pertinent literary study that, in addition to dealing with narrative aspects, proposes to work with the interdisciplinarity claimed by the narrative itself, thus, we propose a dialogue between literature and education in order to elucidate the reasons for the truculent education present in the short story and how this art expands and makes this theme sensitive. This research is a bibliographical one and as a method of general investigation uses the historical-dialectical materialism and, complementarily, the translinguistic method adopted by Chiampi (1980), which consists in orienting the text to the context.O presente trabalho parte da análise literária do conto O verão feliz da senhora Forbes, de Gabriel García Márquez, a partir da Estética de Georg Lukács. Essa narrativa aborda a rígida educação imposta por uma preceptora alemã a dois irmãos latino-americanos. A partir dela, é possível construir um estudo literário pertinente que, além de tratar de aspectos narrativos, propõe-se a trabalhar com a interdisciplinaridade reivindicada pela própria narrativa. Dessa forma, propomos um diálogo entre a literatura e a educação, de modo a elucidar os motivos da educação truculenta presente na obra e como a arte amplia e torna sensível este tema. Minichromosome maintenance 2 and 5 expressions are increased in the epithelium of hereditary gingival fibromatosis associated with dental abnormalities

INTRODUCTION: Gingiva fibromatosis is a relatively rare condition characterized by diffuse enlargement of the gingiva, which is caused by expansion and accumulation of the connective tissue. OBJECTIVE: The aim of the present study was to investigate proliferative and apoptotic biomarker expression in normal gingiva and two forms of gingival fibromatosis. METHODS: Archived tissue specimens of hereditary gingival fibromatosis, gingival fibromatosis and dental abnormality syndrome and normal gingiva were subject to morphological analysis and immunohistochemical staining. The results were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: Proteins associated with proliferation were found in the nuclei of epithelial cells from the basal and suprabasal layers, whereas apoptotic proteins were detected in the cytoplasm of the upper layers of the epithelium. Increased expressions of minichromosome maintenance proteins 2 and 5 were observed in the gingival fibromatosis and dental abnormality syndrome samples. In contrast, geminin expression was higher in normal gingiva samples. No difference in the expression of apoptotic proteins was observed among the groups. CONCLUSION: Our findings support a role for augmented proliferation of epithelial cells within the overgrown tissues associated with gingival fibromatosis or dental abnormality syndrome. However, our data suggest that different biological mechanisms may account for the pathogenesis of different types of gingival fibromatosis

Progression of cardiovascular manifestations in adults and children with mucopolysaccharidoses with and without enzyme replacement therapy

Background: Cardiovascular involvement is among the main features of MPS disorders and it is also a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. The range of manifestations includes cardiac valve disease, conduction abnormalities, left ventricular hypertrophy, and coronary artery disease. Here, we assessed the cardiovascular manifestations in a cohort of children and adults with MPS I, II, IV, and VI, as well as the impact of enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) on those manifestations. Methods: We performed a chart review of 53 children and 23 adults with different types of MPS that had performed echocardiograms from January 2000 until October 2018. Standardized Z scores were obtained for heart chamber sizes according to the body surface area. When available, echocardiographic measurements that were performed before ERT and at least 18 months after that date were used for the assessment of pre- and post-treatment parameters. Results: Left side valvular disease was a frequent finding, with mitral and aortic thickening being reported in most patients in all four MPS types. Left atrium dilatation was present in 26% of the patients; 25% had increased relative wall thickness; 28% had pulmonary hypertension. The cardiovascular involvement was, in general, more prevalent and more severe in adults than in children, including conduction disorders (40 vs. 16%), mitral stenosis (26 vs. 6%), aortic stenosis (13 vs. 4%), and systolic dysfunction (observed in only one adult patient). ERT promoted a significant reduction of the left ventricular hypertrophy parameters, but failed to improve valve abnormalities, pulmonary hypertension, and left atrial dilatation. Conclusions: Adult patients with MPS may develop severe cardiovascular involvement, not commonly observed in children, and clinicians should be aware of the need for careful monitoring and timely management of those potentially life-threatening complications. Our results also confirm the impact of long-term ERT on left ventricular hypertrophy and its limitations in reversing other prevalent cardiovascular manifestations

Percepção do consumidor brasileiro de vinho em relação ao vinho em lata

Recentemente, no Brasil, tem sido observado um incremento na oferta de vinhos embalados em lata de alumínio. Por conseguinte, este estudo objetivou, por meio da aplicação de um questionário para consumidores brasileiros de vinhos, avaliar a sua percepção em relação ao vinho apresentado em lata. Foi obtido um total de 481 (n=481) respostas de consumidores brasileiros de vinhos com ênfase no emprego da lata de alumínio. De entre os mesmos, 75.7% (n= 364) já sabiam da existência de vinhos em lata, sendo que 55.2% souberam nos últimos cinco anos, tendo a internet como a principal fonte de informação. Dos 364 participantes cientes da existência de vinhos enlatados, 57.4% (n=209) já os consumiram, sendo o supermercado (50.2%) o principal local de compra, seguido de loja especializada em vinhos (35.4%). Dos respondentes, 83.3% consumiram o vinho em lata em casa e 21.1% consumiram em ambiente ao ar livre. Os principais estilos de vinhos enlatados adquiridos pelos consumidores (n=209) foram: vinho branco seco (51.7%), vinho tinto seco (45.9%) e vinho rosé seco (40.7%). Aplicou-se ainda a técnica de associação livre de palavras (n=209), obtendo-se 522 associações, sendo que 52.4% delas referiam-se à definição do vinho em lata relacionadas com a própria embalagem, com as principais menções direcionadas para a funcionalidade e a conceitualização do envase. Neste estudo, constatou-se que o uso da lata para envase de vinho é uma opção recente e que os consumidores estão abertos a conhecer e a consumir o produto nesta embalagem

Alternance notebook as instrument of registration, evaluation and teacher training

A Universidade Federal do Pampa, Rio Grande do Sul, no ano de 2014, passou a ofertar o curso Educação do Campo - Licenciatura, o qual organiza seu calendário em Alternância, em dois tempos complementares: Tempo Universidade e Tempo Comunidade. Em virtude desses dois tempos foi proposto o uso do Caderno de Alternância como instrumento de registro e reflexões das experiências e práticas que fazem parte e influenciam o processo formativo dos licenciandos. A investigação apresentada nesse artigo tem como objetivo compreender as contribuições do Caderno de Alternância para a formação docente desses licenciandos. Participaram da pesquisa licenciandas do oitavo semestre do curso por meio de questionário que versava sobre suas experiências com o Caderno de Alternância. O caminho metodológico escolhido para a análise das respostas do questionário foi o da Análise Textual Qualitativa que possibilitou a construção do metatexto “o campo em flores de escreveres”. Considerando que desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional estão inter-relacionados, a reflexão proporcionada pela escrita no Caderno representa ação privilegiada no processo formativo.
